I sent an email to the US Olympic Committee with my thoughts on the Beret and the uniform. Funny how I haven't received any reply from them as of yet.....

while the overall attire is not bad
that head gear kills it, reckon more than a couple will get lost

The price of all this made-in-China preppiness — if you for some reason want to buy it — $598 for the women’s blazer and $498 for the silk skirt. The men’s blazer is a staggering $795, flat front trousers $295 and nubuck shoes are $165. And that damn beret? $55.
Another fine example of your tax payer $$ being used wisely

These uniforms show a lack of American pride. I would be pissed as fuck if I worked my whole life to get to the olympics just to be dressed like an ass clown.

I went though and checked several tags of co-workers in my office. NO ONE had made in America clothing. How was the US Olympic Team suppose to do any better?

That said, the uniforms are fugly.

Stupid looking uniforms, Olympic or otherwise, are not unique to our current Olympic contingent. More than enough of that has been going on for centuries.

Seriously, this is probably no dumber than naming all your male offspring Sue (or George). May even provide some potential for a positive backlash.

As long as this is the most daunting affront our Olympic Team must face, they are in for some clear sailing, I'd imagine.
