Rifle Scopes Weaver 3-15X50 Tactical

A guy on my team at this past All Army won a weaver 3-15X50 Tactical off the prize table(I won a Sec of the Army M1 Garand for long range, just sayin) anyway he had no use for it and traded it to me for a Walther P22, my logic was a $300 used item for a $624 new item, no brainer.

It seems solid enough, picture looks clear, I like the way the knobs lock but it's still a weaver, which probably unjustly has always been a no buy for me. I know most all the companies out there are tryin to put out a quality "tactical" model to compete in the current market and this one seems nice enough.

My question is A) do any of you guys have any experiance with this scope and B) would I be better off selling it toward something else before I mount it and put it through the grinder?

I do not have any experience with them, but i am a fan of matching reticle and adjustments so i would probably sell it to get one that is Mil/Mil. for almost the same price you could get the bushnell 3-12 FFP Mil/Mil, ive heard some good reviews though its still new. there is always the PST you could save up for as that seems to be the current tactical optics savior. all that said, im sure the Weaver is a good scope, i just like the philosophy of Mil/Mil.

I have the 4-20 FFP model. I would like it to have matching turrets but oh well. The scope is build solid and has very positive tracking. The glass is very clear. Better than my bushnells and nikons. I have shot it out to 1000 with great results. If it was .1 mil adjustments I would buy 3 more.

thanks, I really dont have a NEED for it right now and I think if I sell I'll get robbed, don't believe the resell value is as high as a NF, SB, or Leupold. Like I said it does seem to be a very solid piece thogh and good looking clearity
