Sorry for the newbie question fellas,but was wondering on what heigth rings to get.Ive got a Badger M2008 Action in 338LM and my barrel is a Rock Creek custom cut.Starts at 1.350" and tapers down to a 1" contour at the tip.Its much thicker than a MTU.Just wondering what size rings to get.I want something with enough space to add Butler Creek covers to my optic which is a NF 5.5-22x56MM and to hug as close as I can get to the barrel.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!

It's better if you understand WHY you need that ring size than if somebody just tells you which one you need.
