Where do you ladies n Gentlemen go for your Nightforce needs? Looking to purchase a 2.5-10X32 for a GAP 308.

Im also considering a Velocity reticle, any comments on this, good or bad?

Thank you!

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

you're going to want more than just a 10x for that GAP. bump it up to 15 or 22.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

Jay at Sportsoptics.com gave me a good deal. He goes by Opticspecialist on the Hide.

"you're going to want more than just a 10x for that GAP. bump it up to 15 or 22".

My GAP is mostly used for hunting (9# without accessories), lots of walking with shots of 200 yards and mostly within 100 yards. However I do take the occational shot accross a bean field which I feel with the 10x I should be good to 400 yds, maybe a little more with practice. I currently have a 5.5-22 NF mounted and its a little bulky for stalking.

Jay and Chris are good people.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

"KJO" here on the Hide is great!! His name is Kevin, great service and a super nice guy.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

thanks for the recommendations guys, I've got those velocity reticle 2.5-10x32 scopes in stock, but i have to second whats been said, a 3.5-15x50 or 56 might be a better way to go, esp. for lower light and longer ranges.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

+1 on the 3.5-15. I have a 56mm version with the NP-R1 with MOA knobs on my 308 and couldn't be happier.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

Don at Long Range Supply has the same MAP pricing as everyone else but he also throws in free shipping, free batteries, free bonus gear with your purchase like a set of premium quality rings, scope base, etc. Basically the free bonus gear is equivalent to $150. Or you can get a $150 cash bonus credit good for anything other than NF products. Its on his website. Or give Don a call. He will often work with you on the $150 of bonus gear. He has been selling NF scopes for a lot of years with these added perks. Great guy to deal with.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

I have had nothing but great dealings from Euro Optics!
But you cannot go wrong with any of the site supporters here from what I can tell.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

I've noticed that Nightforce optics are pretty consistently priced across the Internet. What kind of deals are you getting by contacting folks through this place? Free shipping, few bucks off, or other? I'm looking at getting one, just haven't quite decided between a 50mm and a 56mm. I don't know why somebody would get one over the other since they are the same price..

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

Nightforce has a very strict MAP policy. You will find the same price with every dealer. Call some of the Hide vendors who carry them, do some talking, and go with the one you like.

The main reason I choose Hide sponsors over other sites is the knowledge base. They are familiar with a very wide range of scopes and willing to help you make the best decision based on glass quality, construction, features, use, etc. In a world where good service is becoming harder to find than an albino polar bear in a blizzard, I appreciate that the site sponsors here take the time to treat people well.

I have dealt with Scott at Liberty Optics and he saved me a few hundred by steering me away from IOR when I was confused on their reticles (went with Vortex and am very happy). I have also nothing but good things to say about Jay at SportOptics. I bought a S&B from him earlier this year and based on that transaction, he or Chris (also at Sport Optics) will be the first and probably only number I call when I'm in the market for my next NF.

+2 Jay has taken care of me on a few of occasions now.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

I bought mine from sportoptics and will deal with them again if and when I get money for a second one together. CSTactical has a great rep on here as well, talk to any of the optic site vendors and see who you like, with the map pricing on nightforce most of them give free shipping but your not going to find a "GOOD" deal since they cant sell under the MAP pricing if they do they could loose there vendor status with nightforce.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

I would be Very Suspicious of any 'Dealer' who want to sell you a 'New' Nightforce scope for less than the normal price of MAP... for obvious reasons.

Save up your money and get the scope You want because it will be worth the wait

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

Randy from mile high and Scott from liberty optics have been great to deal with, I've got a good deal on some NXS's and a IOR and both of them were very helpfull in choosing the scopes.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

Lots of good optics dealers on here - For me, I buy all my optics from Alex Roy at Euro Optics!!

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

+1 for sportoptics. Great service. Got mine the next day, but then again I do live on Louisiana.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

I use Sportoptics. But definitely go with a sponsor, they know their business.
Several good ones.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

Randy at mile high or Jay and Chris at sport optics both are amazing

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

Thanks for the quick responses!

I think I need to spend some time figuring out exactly what I want first. I definitely believe in the "buy once, cry once" philosophy. I don't even own the gun that I want to scope yet. Once I have that figured out, I guess I can decide on the right magnification and objective lens size. The 5.5-22 x50 (or 56) seems like a good scope that you can't really go wrong with.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

I've bought scopes from both Mike @ CSTactical and Chris @ Sportoptics. Either are great guys to deal with.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

My mlr2 f1 showed up today randy at mile high coming through clutch. Awesome guy to deal with

+ 1 billion

All my glass comes from Jay at SportOptics.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

Another vote for Mike at CS Tactical or Chris/Jay at Sportoptics. Both are great.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

Another vote for Jay at Sportoptics.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

whoever is willing to sell below MAP. You have to let them know you are serious though, and you will not snitch on them.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

This may not be the place for this but I am interested in NF 5.5-22x50 in the cheapest configuration with the zero stops and preferably a mil-dot. I won't be purchasing until after October but wanted to get some ideas of what the dealers on here could quote as far as price.

if your not planning on buying till Oct. id hold off on pricing them, nightforce has a habbit of bumping up there prices, allmost all there scopes went up 100 this past winter. sportoptics web page will give you a good idea on where pricing is at right now.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

I wonder if NightForce allow retailers to sell used NF scopes below MAP pricing? Because technically, if a scope is mounted (even if it is never shot), then it is used
laugh.gif

I know a guy who sells below MAP, but I would never give out his info unless I know you personally. He's a good guy and I don't want to get him in trouble.

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

So the prices from the dealers on the forums are pretty much the same as what you can find on opticsplanet.com and other similar sites.... ?

Re: Who to buy Nightforce scopes from?

Yeah I know what you mean I sell Yeti coolers and they will take your license away if you advertise for less than retail but I sell them all the time for less than that for walk-in customers.
