Firearms Fn SPR a1 forsale

I am selling my Fn SPR a1 rifle. It has seen very little use, round count is around 400. The barrel has been threaded 5/8-24 and has a 2 port muzzle brake on it. It has the Fn tbm bottom metal which I have 4 mags for. 1-10 round and 3-5 round. Also have the factory bottom metal and mag. I painted the stock.
Rifle is very accurate with the reloads I have and also with fgmm 175 ammo.
I have 121 reloads for it and 159 pieces of 2x Peterson brass.
I would like to sell everything together as I am getting out of shooting 308.
For rifle, mags, bottom metal, reloads and brass I’m am looking to get $1700
Message for any other questions.

Navy NSWC Crane M83

So after searching this forum and elsewhere online, and basically finding no source of information on this, I figure let’s start a thread on the apparently VERY little known M83 sniper rifle, built by NSWC Crane for the Navy SEALs sometime in the 1980s, before the M86.

I will share the little information I have been informed about, and let others with actual direct or otherwise knowledge share what they wish, including any photos of either actual or clone M83s.

From what I have gathered, the M83 was built in-house at Crane and consisted of the following specs:
- Remington 700 short action chambered in 7.62 NATO, mostly with the ADL blind magazine box
- McMillan silhouette stock in early desert smear camo (with the green)
- Custom made scope base with 30mm Leupold & Stevens Ultra rings
- Either an L&S Ultra 10X with M1 turrets, or a Bausch and Lomb 10X Tactical scope

And of course this all centers around what is usually my favorite part of a build, the McMillan stock. Below is a mostly exact same stock as used on the M83, with the exception of a different butt pad (but that can be easily fixed).

Defects in the glass. Should I send this scope in or live with it?

20240511_142402.jpg

Lower right quarter, just right of the vertical stadia below the reticle tree. Looks like bubbles in the glass. I've had this scope for almost three years now and just now noticed this because I rarely shoot below 12X, power setting in the pic is 5X, scope pointed at an off-white door so the glass bubbles hopefully show up better. Now I've looked through this scope below 12X at least a couple times in the past and never noticed them. Leaves me wondering if this is something that can develop over time or something that was always present and I just wasn't paying attention. Anyways, what are your thoughts, advise, opinions, jokes etc..... Send it in and have the manufacturer look at it (Tangent Theta btw) or just live with it like I have been? This isn't a complaint thread, just a mild concern, this scope has served me well.

I set up this rifle to shoot 144 bergers, and it shoots them EXTREMELY well. The action is crazy smooth (I prefer it over my impact). I am only selling because I lost access, I had to a 1600-yard range. The rifle has about 60 rounds through it and easily shoots .1-.3".

The build as it sits ran a little over $2300, I am asking $2100 $1990, $1890. It is in perfect condition and ready to ship, I will cover the load data with the buyer if desired.

Rotary tumbler for wet cleaning

Hello,
I think to buy a Rotary tumbler for wet cleaning of my brass.
I look at Frankford Arsenal tumbler, Lite or Platinum.

About the Platinum on the net are good comment buy on the Lite someone claim some problem like the brass don't rotate on the tumbler.

Can you tell me some impression about this two tumbler?

I know also some chinese rotary tumbler, 3 or 5kg, someone on this forum use this version?

Thanks in advance!
