Beam scale… am I out of my mind?

Intellidropper got some ball powder (staball 6.5) inside where the tube dispenser spins. Also have caught it wondering from time to time which makes me go back and check charge weights

So I’m thinking of going to a beam scale because I’m tired of all the electrical interference or wondering I have gotten on the cheaper sub $200 scales I’ve used

I reload high precision (or atleast try to lol) ammo but do shoot 4-5 PRS matches a year so a fair amount of reloading during the season.

Really don’t want to spend $300+ on a scale but before I went the beam route figured I’d at least ask you all if there is a better option? If not, which beam would you recommend?

ES and SD are important to me, especially on my hunting ammo

Affirmative action Scrabble to hit shelves soon

By Olivia Murray

Scrabble is revamping—a more “inclusive” and “accessible” version is set to hit the shelves for those who don’t like the “competitive” nature of the traditional game. (Spoiler alert: The intended audience is Gen Z.)

Here’s the story, via a BBC report out yesterday:
Mattel is to launch a new version of Scrabble which is designed to be more collaborative and accessible for those who find word games intimidating.

The new double-sided Scrabble board will still feature the original game for those who want to play the traditional version.
But the new game on the flip side will include helper cards, use a simpler scoring system and be quicker to play.
Here’s what English broadcaster Gyles Brandreth said of the announcement:
‘The makers of Scrabble found that younger people, Gen Z people, don’t quite like the competitive nature of Scrabble….’
A “simpler” scoring system? How much “simpler” could Scrabble be though? As long as you can add into the single- and double-digits (or triple-digits with the right letters and premium squares), and you know your multiplication tables, the scoring system is self-explanatory.
Now, “quicker to play” I understand, especially when you consider the context of who the executives had in mind when they decided to remake the game-cupboard staple that had been the same for the last seventy-five years—as a whole, Gen Z seriously lacks any attention span. This is the group of people who text and post in some bizarre version of nonsensical shorthand: Frfr? Sus? Ngl? Bruh? No cap?

7_74_19.gif

But, would this Gen Z target consumer really look up from social media, ditch the phone, and sit down for a game of Scrabble if only it were just more “inclusive” and less “competitive”? I’m not so sure.
This story, of catering to a Gen Z audience, reminds me of when Eddie Bauer revamped its logo, opting to move away from the cursive script and adopt a block script; the cursive was too “confusing” for the “kids” who “don’t even learn to read cursive in school anymore.” (Johnson & Johnson did the same thing, although I think they may have cited the desire for a “minimalist” look.)

Of course, this is affirmative action Scrabble, the “disadvantaged” group being… the participation trophy group of people who’ve been indoctrinated instead of educated. (In fact, I’m surprised this version doesn’t actually include miniature trophies for all game participants.)
Sure they don’t have much of an English vocabulary and simple arithmetic isn’t “simple” enough, but they did “learn” Critical Race Theory, and they “know” their LGBTQ++ history.
And yes, grammar recitations were missed, but they can recite “my body, my choice” or “no justice, no peace” which frankly, are of far greater importance.

Now, I can’t snub a company’s efforts to adapt to a changing world and adjust their product to meet the demands of the market—and if the market is shifting, with more and more consumers being TikTok-addicted youngsters with the inability to focus and a public school “education”? All I can say is that I wouldn’t want to be in Mattel’s shoes.
What’s next? A Monopoly revamp? A Klaus Schwab version where you own nothing? A congressional variation where eminent domain comes into play? A New York “special edition” that includes squatters and a conniving “Peekaboo” James villain seizing property that doesn’t belong to them? Will the “get out of jail free” card turn into a “cashless bail” card?
This is nothing more than death by a thousand cuts; it’s just one more hairline fracture in the foundation of a moral and innovative West, an institution that the woke left methodically undermines, in large part, by churning out useful idiots. Yet, like a colleague articulated, “useful idiots” often fall into the “too dumb to live” category:

Newb seeking input on Battle Belts

I'm new to battle belts and seeking information...

I'm not new to taking formal training classes for pistol, carbine, and shotgun, but I've never worn a battle belt and it seems many trainers-instructors prefer the students wear belt rigs versus plate carrier or vest based rigs.

I already have HSG taco mag carriers for carbine & pistol mags. My pistol holsters often have Tek Lok attachments.

I'm cool with wearing padded suspenders to help support the belt's load.

1) Can most plate carriers be worn comfortably with most battle belts?

2) What factors do I need to take into account before choosing a battle belt?

3) I want the most durable gear that's also comfortable, and I'm not a weight weenie who has to have the latest tech.

4) I want the belt to be very stiff so it doesn't allow the attached gear to twist/roll outward.

5) I want it made in the USA.

Thanks in advance

The Chic in Chicago stands for chicken

The body worn camera of officer number 1 says it all.

Northeast Hunting

Any Northest Hunters on here?

Would like to plan my first hunting trip this fall. Considering Vermont, upstate NY, PA as a few options. Since it's my first time out, would really like to try and get out on a guided hunt, but my own online research right now is really all over the place in regard to pricing, reviews, etc.

Just looking for some feedback if any of yall have some good experiences in any of the surrounding states here.

Will do a deer hunt this fall, and then a turkey hunt next spring as I missed that for this year at this point with being prepared. Also considering a winter coyote hunt a bit more west come January/February. Would like to try a few different things over the course of the fall and into next year.

I checked the internet

So yesterday evening I walked out in my front yard to find a red fox trying to get the neighbors cat. I tried to chase it off but it's not really scared of people it would stay about 50ft away was all.

So I ran next door to warn her. She says they have been here since last year, but she looked it up online and it said they wouldn't mess with domestic animals.

I told her. I am pretty sure they will eat cats based on all the stray cats disappearing over the last year and half or so.

I knew there were some foxes around because they left a chicken carcass in my yard last summer. I also found some tracks in the snow in my drive way this winter. It turns out they have den at an abandoned house less than a block away. And in all liklyhood they ate my cat that I liked and payed to neuter.

So is there any better place to go than online to get biased horseshit information.

THOUSANDS of Machine Guns DESTROYED

I hate to start the day off with depressing news but for anyone that has FA weapons that you want to pass on here is some information. Most of you probably already know this but the video might benefit friends or relatives that might need this information.

I have my suppressors ready to pass on with the Form 5s mentioned in the video.
