Optics Leupold Mark 5HD 5-25x56 FFP PR2 Mil 35MM

Selling a new in box Leupold Mark 5HD 5-25x56 FFP PR2 Mil reticle. In all original packaging and accessories from Leupold. I got this and opened it, then realized I didn't want to run the PR2 reticle. It's been sitting in the corner for a month.
The optic has never been mounted or used, the box has only been opened twice. Once when I looked through it and realized I didn't want to run a PR2 reticle and the second time to take the pictures below.

SOLD Atlas Bipods (ARCA and Picatinny mounts)

I’ve got two Atlas Bipods for sale. Both are in great condition and work perfectly. One is a V8 BT10-LW17 (picatinny mount) and the other is a CAL BT65 with an Area 419 ARCALOCK clamp. Let me know if you have any questions. I have a picatinny rail adapter for an Area 419 ARCA clamp that’s yours if you want it for the BT10. That allows you to use it with the Area 419 ARCA clamp.

V8 BT10-LW17: Sold
CAL BT65 w/ ARCA mount: Sold

Interesting Story About the Mainstreaming of AR-15s.

You just have to cut through the liberal commentary. My first AR was a neutered Bushmaster XM15 and it was the most accurate one with lightweight bullets I owned.

Zeroing with a 44.4 moa scope base

Howdy gun sport enthusiasts - happy Black Friday.

I just bought a Spuhr mount for my 338LM that has 44.4 moa or 13 mil worth of tilt and have some questions on zeroing it.

First thing I did was take my scope - and dial it all the way down. I had 30 MOA worth of adjustment down before it hit its limit. Then I took my kestrel and calculated how far I’d need to shoot for a 14.4 moa adjustment (I have all my ballistics set) and got 735 yards.

So I’m curious in general how to zero with a scope mount this steep.

I’m thrilled with the purchase because now I can shoot two miles, and the mount only cost me $250! Just curious what the other ELR guys do.

Am I truly done zeroing at 100? Or do I just hold a POA 44 moa below the bullseye and go from there at 100?

Thanks.

Did y'all see Dolly Parton do the halftime show last night?

The clan I was invited to eat with thought she looked so great and was going on so much about her they couldn't see the fact her lip syncing was about three seconds behind the soundtrack.

At one time it looked liked she just got lost and stopped. Then she had to hold onto the set.

Her boobs looked good for 77 but she needed some botox in her thighs.

I'd motorboat it but any more than that is going to have to be a no from me, dawg.

PRS rule on moving wrong on stage

Hi Guys,
Could somebody explain the rule on the following PRS situation?
I'm on a stage with 3 positions, 3 targets to be shot left to right, 1 shot on each target from each position.
I'm at the first position, fire at only 2 targets and move to position 2.
I fire 1 shot at position 2 and realise I should have shot 3 rounds at position 1.
Do I go back to position 1 and shoot target 3, then go back to position 2 and continue to shoot target 2.
Or do I stay at position 2 engage target 3 to get back into sequence, then engage target 1 again?
Do I stay at Position 2 and engage target 1 again because Position 2,Target 1 is Shot 4.

Are positions and targets locked together?
I hope this makes sense??

PTG actions

I am doing my first rifle build in 7 mm PRC and am trying to do everything as economically as possible while getting decent components. I ordered a grayboe pheonix 2 stock and bottom metal on their 40% off sale. Looking at a carbon six barrel currently.

For the action my gunsmith is recommending a Pacific Gauge and Tool (PGT) action. Looking around online I see overwhelmingly negative feedback on PGT, but it mostly seems to be based on bad customer service, long lead times, and them sending the wrong parts. I am wondering what the feedback is on the actual quality of their actions once you get it and get what you ordered. It would be about $750.

As a side note I am also wondering about the Stiller actions that PGT sells on their website, some of which have different model numbers than anything you find on Stiller's website. Is the Stiller Tac 7 on PTG's website basically the same as the TAC 30 on Stiller's website? Also the price for the Stiller Tac 7 is basically the same as the PGT action. Is one better than the other?

I am also open to any recommendations for other actions. I have read a lot of forum threads on this and am also looking at the Mac Bros EVO II and considering spending the extra money for a Zermatt (formerly bighorn) Origin. I appreciate any insight.

Coriolis Effect?

I understand spin drift, in fact saw it. Shooting a 6.5 CM out to a mile, while I couldnt exactly see the bullet, I wculd sort of see its path as it slowed and drifter right in an increasing arc as it ran out of steam/elevation, then the impact in the dirt.. That was pretty wild.

But what is coriolis effect? I've read a bit but dont quite get ti, Keep it simple, the math loses me quickly.

Is it that on a right spinning bullet, energy, or resistance tends to increase on the right side and decrease on the left? If so would that tend to off set a bit of the drift?
