Witches Brew Bore Cleaner

Hello Everyone,

I was looking for some Holland's Witches Brew bore solvent, but noticed that the only place I can find who carries it is the manufacturer, which is Holland's. The price of a bottle is $30. I ordered one, and they told me to wait for a message to figure the shipping. I got a call back, and they tell me the shipping for an 8 oz bottle is $26.

a) WTF?
b) Does anyone know another place to get this stuff?
c) If no to b), can someone recommend a product that effectively scrubs the carbon out of the bore?

I am currently using Boretech Eliminator, but it doesn't get all the carbon out of the throat from what I can see.

Thanks in advance.

Baby Daddy gets smoked by the cops

Apparently, him and his lovely "Baby Mama" needed a little cash for more tweak or maybe a few credit cards for a Wal Mart shopping spree so he tried to jack the PD. It comes as no surprise that all of his druggie friends and relatives were hiding in nearby trees, dumpsters and junk cars waiting for him to score a victory so they could live large for the day.

Shit did not go as planned...........................

I chopped down my Ruger American.

I chopped down a Ruger American. I bought an 18" Predator model. I would have bought the Hunter with the thicker barrel profile, but I didn't care for the color of the stock. I took it to Ed Vanden Berg at Vanden Berg Custom and asked him to chop the barrel down to whatever the legal length would be with a pinned and welded muzzle device. He did a fantastic job, and I couldn't be more pleased. I think the barrel got chopped down to 15", 16.5" with the P/W brake just for a little safety room for the alphabet gang. The rifle with the Ruger stock is very light and handy. However, the Ruger stock was a little janky, and the magazine wouldn't feed some of the crusty old milsurp .308 I have due to friction issues. The spring wasn't strong enough. The Hunter stock is heavier, but much more substantial and robust. And cooler looking. I've test fired it, but haven't put it on a bench for groups yet. I'm very excited to see what happens at longer range with heavy bullets in this 1/10" 15" barrel. Aside from playing around, this rifle will be used to keep critters out of the garden up to 300 yards. I think it will be sufficient. More importantly, it looks cool. And that's what matters.

2023 scope for AE mkIII

So I've purchased by first precision rifle, an AI AE mkiii in 308. Been all over the threads and just can't make up my mind what (used) scope I should be shopping for. The rifle is way above my skill level, so I'm okay putting something more inexpensive on it for now, but I almost feel bad like it 'deserves' better! I want to work on my skills, get to where I can have fun trying my hands at PRS eventually... recommendations? Go for broke, or start with something like an SWFA? Thanks.

Glass decisions

I just put together a new stick for deer season. 20" Proof Carbon 308 on a TL3 action, TT Special, Hawkins DBM, AG Alpine Hunter, with the option of running a TBAC Ultra 7 Gen 2 on a CB brake. Now I need to pick out some glass for it. I get the Pro/MIL/VIP deal on NF, Leupold and Vortex so the pricing on their glass is appealing and likely where I'll focus my options. I want something to compliment the quality of the rifle itself but also to provide me good visibility in low light conditions, which is why I am demanding it have illumination. My eyes are still pretty good considering I am knocking on the door of 40 but I won't deny any added help I can get from better glass and /or a larger objective (within reason).

Where we hunt 90% of the shots are inside of 150, visibility at dawn and dusk is hindered by the thick cedar surrounding the clearings/sendero's from the blinds to the feeders which limit light when the sun is low on the horizon. I think in MILs so no MOA reticle suggestions please. I plan to have the option to run this gun out west in a 6.5 PRC layout so I'd like the glass to be enough for shots 500+ when/if needed.

With all of that said, I see Vortex as the third best option of the three, I just sold the Razor HD LHT I had on last years rifle and I wasn't all that impressed. I am leaning towards the Mark 5 HD 3.6-18x or the ATACR 4-16x. Any thoughts between these two, how they compare? Should I be considering something else from another make as well, maybe a ZCO 420? Any input here would be much appreciated as I want to buy once and get this thing setup and fine tuned prior to the season opener in 130-ish days. Thanks for any input.

Biden needs to do standup comedy

The jokes just keep coming.

A black female student asked him if she were his daughter, what advice would he give her if she were pulled over by the police.
Continuing to push the white supremacy, racism narrative, Biden tells her "If you were my daughter you'd be Caucasian and wouldn't be pulled over."

He should have added if she were Caucasian he would have showered with her, too.

As Sober As a Judge

Some of you may remember an old saying, “As sober as a judge.” This is one judge that thinks she is one of the black-robed immortals. Remember that some of these chosen ones think that their bowel movements have the fragrance of lilacs blooming in spring. Breathalyzers were not meant to be used on them.

My only wish is that more turds like this get caught and suffer REAL penalties and do hard time with people that they have convicted.
