California’s law banning the marketing of firearms to minors is probably unconstitutional under the 1st Amendment, a federal appellate court ruled Wednesday.

Writing for a unanimous three-judge panel of the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, Circuit Judge Kenneth K. Lee wrote that while the ban may be intended to diminish gun violence, the “First Amendment demands more than good intentions and wishful thinking to warrant the government’s muzzling of speech.”

California allows minors to use guns under adult supervision for hunting and other activities, Lee wrote, and the state “cannot straitjacket the First Amendment by, on the one hand, allowing minors to possess and use firearms and then, on the other hand, banning truthful advertisements about that lawful use of firearms.”

Looking to build a custom gun. I keep going back and forth on the action. Why are MC actions not the standard for most?
If barrel changes are inevitable due to high volume shooting or caliber changes, why not build off of the MC action and remove the vise, wrench and added time from the equation? Pre-fits are widely available from all the top barrel makers. Am I missing something?

Breitbart News reported that GOA filed their lawsuit in a U.S. District Court against Grisham’s order on Sunday, two days after the ban was announced.
At that time, GOA executive vice president Erich Pratt told Breitbart News, “Gun Owners of America has filed a federal lawsuit challenging Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s gross and egregious violation of the U.S. Constitution. Her claim that there are ‘exceptions to the Second Amendment’ is not only wrong, but it also blows open a huge hole in the Bill of Rights. GOA will not rest until the rights of New Mexicans are restored.”
For now, the temporary restraining order is an oral order. More coverage on the decision will follow as more information is released.

I’ve got two Benchmade’s that I found while cleaning out a box that I have…haven’t used these in years, and have no use for them now. One is the Nestucca Cleaver and one is the Pardue Hunter. The blades are good, the steel is good, the handles are like new. I don’t recall using these much…I don’t have the boxes for either of them, and they are both discontinued models from Benchmade. Would like $125 for the cleaver and $100 for the Pardue or $175 for both shipped to your door.
