SOLD Auto Trickler V4 unit (No Scale) 400TYD

Selling my AT V4. 400.00 TYD, prefer PPF&F but will also accept a check.
A bit over a year old. comes with everything in the pictures. Great condition.
Full disclaimer, the small tub has been modified with threads all the way through and a small reducer screwed into the powder out end. This mod does make the powder flow very well, in fact I usually have to shim up the front of the unit to slow the flow a bit, depends on the powder.
I use Varget,N570,N555,H1000,Retumbo,RL33,IMR 4977, H4831sc,H4895,H4350 in the V4 and they all flow very well.
If you have any question or want different pictures please ask.

Great condition. Was a backup that didnt get used. I initially posted an older pic (pic #1) from when I bought it and another Hide member claimed it.

Equipment you’ve bought… and hate

I was working on some cases and during priming this question came to me.

Using an RCBS universal hand primer. Bought it thinking it would be helpful. No shell holders. Changing small to large a little work but hey if it works for 1 but another and leave it set up. That being said…

I really don’t like this thing. Center snap on the primer tray is lame, it flips primers when you close it. Jaws not smooth and inserting cases takes effort. Primer feeding not good and primers can tilt or double.

Going back to the Hornady primer I have until I find another that I’m interested in. Yes not the greatest but I’ve had far fewer problems with it.

How about you all? Got any equipment that you bought and think I can’t stand this thing?

Precision Rifle Gear Can Chaps, Scope Chaps Suppressor Cover

Scope Chaps now has a lovely slim-style suppressor cover.

image.jpeg

The cover is unique that it doesn't use the felt style heat wrap, but a lighter, sticky style material that grips the suppressor.

Super nice tight fit

You want to measure and give proper dimensions for the suppressor to fit nicely and snugly.

Head over to the Scope Chaps website, and check out the Can Chaps

Robbers are not having a good 2023 so far. Between the guy who got anchored in Houston and now Two Guns McGraw in Ct., this is shaping up to be a good year so far!

Actual Accuracy of 22lr Premium Rifles

I visit and read posts on several gun forums and often come across posts with shooters talking about the fantastic groups they have just shot with their rifles. I have three 22lr rifles that I'm quite proud of. Vudoo Gunworks (1st Gen), a Tikka T1X, and a Cz 457 Varmint Precision. I'm well aware of the ammo factor and usually shoot Lapua Center-X, SK Standard Plus, Ely Tenex, CCI Standard Velocity (best there is for consistency at an affordable price!). After reading posts about outstanding groups I set up and shoot off a benchrest and maybe once in a blue moon I'll get a group like they mention but it may only be one group during that shooting session.

My point or question is are these folks truly getting that type consistency most of the time or are they like me just getting them that tight once in a while? It frustrates me with my shooting when I can't get these groups consistently. I think we all have good days and bad days shooting. I usually know after shooting just a magazine whether I should pack up and go home, its not going to be a good day. Then some days I'm on and can do better. I keep getting off point but I think most of you get what I'm asking... are the tight groups folks refer to consistent or just their best of the day or maybe month? I only compete against myself but I'm no rookie at this and hate to keep changing things and spending money to chase that ultimate rifle if I'm already doing as good or even better than most.

New rifle won’t group at all

Picked up a Ruger American Predator in 6 creed for a cheap coyote gun. Brought it to the range today and it was all over the place. I got it as close as I could at 50 yards and at 100 the spread was terrible. Almost a foot in every direction. The scope and rings are torqued to spec and leveled. It’s about -10 Fahrenheit today. Would the cold affect it that much? Could it be the brake? I’m lost

Coup De Grace vs Nucleus or Origin

I have read the post on the new coupe d grace action coming out from American Rifle Company. I am putting together a prs type rifle on a remington clone action with savage barrel threads.
Are the new features a significant real world improvement on the nucleus gen 2 or the zermatt origin?
Are the improvements worth the unknown wait times as the other actions are available now?
More importantly are the improvements with the tradeoff of the unproven nature and bugs that pop up on a new designs and products?
I am interested in the option of using factory savage barrels, Are the designs of any of the actions better for this? I know the cdg is designed for conical breeches and not sure if this is a negative for that action for my wants?
Thoughts?
