Trued MV not even close to Chrono?

Is it common to have a very large difference in trued MV and Chronoed velocity when you really push velocity?

I have been shooting 122gr Cayuga's from my 6.5 SS at 3390fps average from 20 shots measured with my labradar. I shot data verification out to 750 and to get my curve to match my kestrel needs to be at 3140fps.

I don't really care as long as I'm getting hits in different conditions and DAs. So far it seems to line up.

My slower stuff matches pretty decently, just my high velocity loads and cartridges seem to have large velocity gaps.

Budget LPVO or solid red dot?

I’ve got 4 ar’s all with red dots except my most recent 18” which has no optic…
I’d love to drop $1200+ on a lpvo but having our 3rd child in 2 days, it’s kind of a no go.

Not sure how realistic or important having a rifle with lpvo instead of a red dot is, but would y’all suggest a budget 400-500 lpvo or something like a aimpoint pro ? I do have a holosun aems which I like pretty good…. But I know some here don’t like them because of where they are made… love my aimpoint pro, but it’s heavier than the aems…

AMP annealing gone wrong?

hey guys, Recently got an AMP annealing machine for my reloading, its slick. I had a pet load for my 300 PRC that shoots pretty good, and duplicated it, same brass prep, same charge, seating depth etc… Well I got an AZTEC code of 150, and went to the range to find out it shoots pretty bad. I use a .3070 expander mandrel, and the group on the left (.2MOA ish) is the old blow torch method of annealing.

Now i’m kind of confused has anybody seen the same issues? After I grouped the two on the right top and bottom (forgive the crap pictures I took it in the sun and couldn’t see the groups / framing on my iPhone) I was scratching my head so I shot the old load and it grouped fine. I chrono’d the loads and they both were the same average and same SD.

New Chassis on the market

We got a new sponsor this year at our annual 2-day match. The company is S2Delta and is run by 2 marine corps recon vets. And is just getting into the precision rifle side of the industry. Wished i would have gotten some pictures of it then but their website has some.

I got to shoot a pre-production model recently on the zero/practice day. I am not really a chassis guy (I shoot a foundation) but I was impressed. The fit and finish of the chassis was great, and it hit all the key features plus its ambidextrous.

The chassis is set up for Remington 700 clones and the one I shot was Beragara. It was rigid and didn’t have that ring or twang like a lot of the other chassis I have shot. The grip placement felt very similar to my centurion, in terms if angle and distance. The arca worked perfectly with my RRS clamp that is set up for my foundation rail. It is set up to use AR style grips and buffer tube for the butt stock. I did feel like it was a little light overall for PRS but might be really nice for the NRL Hunter. I spoke to one of the owners, and he explained the fore-end is M-LOK so adding a weight kit would be easy and allow us to tune the balance point. The chassis is also ambidextrous and easily add a thumb rest to either side.

Additionally the one I shot shot had a prototype of their new butt stock has tool-less adjustment and is super simple and light weight. I’m not sure when they are releasing that, but it should be pretty soon. The whole assembled chassis is less than 3 pounds. The main chassis is up on their website for $299.

They also are looking at potentially doing a magnesium chassis that would come in assembled under 2

Charlize Theron Admits She Traded Dignity for Stardom

Charlize Theron

Oscar-winner Charlize Theron admitted in a recent interview that she traded her personal dignity for stardom.
That’s how I read it anyway.
Because whining and playing the victim have replaced gratitude and class among America’s rotting celebrity culture, one of the most privileged people in the history of mankind is using a high-profile interview in Harper’s to crybaby about how hard her life has been.
All Theron did, though, was prove she has no character:
“Having absolutely no control over what you’re wearing is a big one that really fucking annoyed me for years. Having some guy make you have a fitting almost in front of them—stuff like that, it’s really belittling,” Theron explains. “When I started, there was no conversation around it. It was like, ‘This is what you’re wearing.’ And I remember one movie in particular, this male director who just kept bringing me in, fitting after fitting after fitting after … And it was just so obvious that it was to do with my sexuality and how fuckable they could make me in the movie. And when I started out, that was just kind of the norm.” [emphasis added]
You see what she’s doing there? Theron is pretending she’s a victim of the perfectly normal and acceptable practice of having the director choose what his actors and actresses wear.
But what’s truly revealing is her crybabying about how “belittling” this was.
And yet.
She did it anyway.
In other words, she was handed a choice: You can either hold on to your dignity by refusing to do this or not. And she chose to give up her dignity.
In those moments, Charlize Theron, a grown woman with the agency to walk off any project, chose — chose! — to be humiliated rather than give up stardom and fame.
That was her choice.
At any time, she could have walked away and supported herself behind a cash register or any other job that didn’t denigrate her.
Charlize Theron did not have to put up with being humiliated, belittled, and sexualized. She chose to be treated in that way. Clearly, stardom, fame, and money were more important to Charlize Theron than her personal dignity.
And why did she allow it to happen more than once? It would have been easy for her to include a contract rider about a more dignified wardrobe process. But she didn’t do that, did she? Why? Well, probably because she worried it might cost her work. So again, she chose stardom and money over her personal dignity.
There is no amount of money or fame you could offer most women to stand there and be treated like a “fuckable” piece of meat. But that’s because “most women” are not Charlize Theron. No, most women put their personal dignity ahead of their personal ambitions.
Now, I don’t want to be misunderstood here. … I don’t think actresses who dress sexy are whores. Not at all. As a healthy, normal, red-blooded heterosexual male, I enjoy looking at sexy women, just like the next guy. I’m all for T&A. I’m all for objectifying women who choose to be objectified, and I’ve seen plenty of actresses steam up the screen while retaining their self-respect and dignity.
But Theron is something different.
She had a choice to walk away or be humiliated.
She chose to be humiliated.
And that’s pathetic.
And the only person she should blame is Charlize Theron.
She failed a major test of her character, and her victim pose will not gaslight me into seeing it any other way.
It’s also worth mentioning that Theron’s naked boobs have enjoyed more screen time than Michael Caine.
