Last night I fired 5 handloaded rounds through my 20" 308 AR. FC brass, 175 smk bullet, 41.5 IMR4064, the 5 rounds average 2570 fps which is in the ballpark of normal for a 20" I believe.

However, I had 2 of the WLR primers piece at the edge..... see the 2 primers at the top of the pic in my hand. I don't believe I'm seeing any other pressure signs on the case head. The bummer is these pierced primers apparently stuck my ejector down, and cut little divots into my bolt face.

What would cause a primer to pierce at the edge like this? Is this bolt still safe to use once I get the ejector functioning again?

Anybody have any experience with PA warranty returns? I've heard they have good CS, but I sent in a scope that wouldn't focus (one of their Japanese glass scopes), and I'm not thrilled with their communication. Are they just swamped right now? I never got a confirmation notice after they received my scope, but they did say they had received it when I asked a month later. Then a few days later they said it had been "restored to factory specs" and that I would receive a notice when it shipped. It's been nearly another month and no shipping notification. In this world of competitive warranty service from most scope manufacturers, this seems a little odd to me. Just curious if this is unusual or if I should just be patient.

yes i have done & seen Xs about 5 "ALL" the available on line research on this topic. i'm just asking for any new info or experiences with regard to it that someone may have seen,heard or done. by big game i pretty much mean southern whitetail and hogs. would include sheep,goats,small caribou,antelope just for experiences which stuff i'll never hunt anyway. and,i mean using pretty high quality factory "hunting" ammo TSX or some such.

I have a live round stuck in my rem700. I've tried pushing it through backwards but I have broken a range rod and my favorite boretech cleaning rod. Brownells has the perfect tool for what I need but it's unobtainable right now. No back order etc... Like everything else everyone is waiting for. Does anyone have one I can buy? Caliber is 300WM.
