Must be those pesky Pennsylvania Dutch

3 “teens” Get Out of a Hyundai in Philly and open up at a bunch of HS students. One gets shot 9 times.

Now it seems to me that some of the facts of the story ‘just’ might be missing or glossed-over for some reason?

Draw your own conclusions.

silhouette Shooting

Anyone here shoot silhouette matches? Joining a new range club and went to the monthly match last weekend. Is 3 stages. Rim fire lever action, center fire lever then center fire pistol. Though each are awarded winners separately. Had lot of fun and am looking get my son into shooting matches. He’s 8 so wanting to start on rimfire due to lighter and less recoil and age restrictions.

Has anyone else got there kids started in matches this way? Should I look into other types of matches? Any good silhouette forums to learn more about the discipline?
Thanks

black powder folks.....

alright guys. i have a black powder flask that came to me and it has a powder in it that looks a lot like corn cob media-a very course grain. and kind of a golden color to it. i have absolutely NO idea what it is....other than some type of substitute powder.

i did pour some out on the ground and touched a flame to it to make sure it was indeed a powder. any ideas?

Window Shopping - 223 Bolt Action

I slapped together my first centerfire BA a few months ago with the goal to handload rounds, put down sub MOA and bang steel over and over and over and over at 850 yards. Thats done. Goal achieved.

I want to build another but chambered in .223 for the same reason but at most 500 yards. This is to satisfy and keep it cost effective compared to the 6.5.
Budget is $1500 (without optics, trigger, chassis).

.223 because I already have the components but im sure i'll be buying match grade dies and other specific for accurate consistent loads.

Right now im eyeballing a Mack Bros Evo II SA Single Shot + Preferred Prefit
My understanding is the Mack Bros is an R700 clone so chassis selection should match, right?

At the same time I had really good luck with the Howa 1500 SA. I really have no complaints about it.
So im also looking at another Brownells Barreled Howa 1500 Mini action. This is obviously the cheaper route and will leave some funds for whatever else...

What would you do?

The solution for Trannies competing in women’s sports

Women… go for the nuts!

These trannies never have their junk cut off. So basketballs, baseballs, grabs, kicks, feet, bats, whatever to the nuts every chance you get…

And these mental-ill freaks tenth-string athletes will decide to go back to competing against guys.

Send them to the hospital with crushed testes… it’s like a win-win. They quit or you wimminz damage their junk so bad it eventually has to be cut off after severe traction damage.

Get to it ladies.

Will’s first Law regarding making purchases

No matter what you buy or how much of a discount you get, you will always find it cheaper in a couple of days.

Works every time. Friday, ordered powder. the prices were going up, and this was the old price at a well known online store. Happy with the purchase. Monday, same powder, same price, now Free Shipping. Next store, powder is $1.00 higher (for an 8 pound keg) and on Monday, No HAZMAT.

Never fails.

308 advice

I got my first can in,30 cal rugged razor. Bought it for an AR but wanted to make a quiet gun to mess around at the range, so I impulsively bought a Mossberg predator for dirt cheap. After about 15-20 rounds the groups are at least 3 maybe 4 moa, rounds start going everywhere. I was using Winchester power point 150gr at 100 yards. I'm assuming it's the cheaper barrel not being able to take the heat. My question is are there good aftermarket barrels that I could try to find or should I just go get a good rifle with a heavy barrel?

This is assuming I'm not making grilled cheese at night and I don't have any other issues with the rifle/can. Have only shot the rifle with the can on, optic is a brand new vortex venom(this was for range fun so don't judge me)

PRS Scope Help

After weeks of scouring threads, researching all of the scopes I'm about to list, I've learned that they are all good scopes, but the best thing to do is look through them and let my eyes decide. Herein lies the problem...

Living in Canada means that finding these scopes in stock locally is very difficult, let alone in the same store to compare side by side. It also means that their price gap is wider here than in the states. There's a difference of $1400 between the cheapest and most expensive on my list, so of course theres a debate over whether the more expensive options are worth it. But I also know ill be left wondering if I cheaped out unnecessarily. So I'm looking for the collective experience of the hide to help at least make my list a little smaller if possible.

Burris XTR III 5.5-30x56 - $2100 CDN
Bushnell XRS3 - $2350 CDN
Zeiss LRP S3 4-25x50 - $3100 CDN
Zeiss LRP S3 6-36x56 - $3500 CDN (is the only difference between the 2 the magnification range and objective size?)
Burris XTR Pro - $3450 CDN
Steiner T6Xi 5-30x56 - $3400 CDN

For reference, this scope will be going on a PRS rifle. Thanks in advance

NY Gov. Sending National Guard to the Subway LOL

https://www.newsmax.com/us/new-york-city-subway-national-guard/2024/03/06/id/1156199/

Like some third-world shit hole, you cannot ride the subway in NYC without the risk of being robbed, stabbed, beaten up or pushed onto the tracks. But thankfully, the NYC subway is a "gun free" zone, so at least we know criminals won't be armed :)

Fake election photos

Seeing a lot of obviously BS pictures recently and this caught my attention.

I'm so old I used to be able to believe pictures.

If you are not asking yourself "is this legit" every other post I'd love to give you some investment advice. But seriously, how do we fight the lies coming from both sides?

LOL this guy is plain retarded

So much cringe. So much ignorance. So much bullshit.

"The last match I went to was designed for 1911s with red dots and I won with iron sights"

"The battery caps breaks, flips open, and blocks the red dot. I've seen it"

"Go to a match, go to the check in table, and watch how many people turn in their slips who didn't finish the match. Ask them why and most will say my red dot broke"

"If you can't see through the optic you're fucked"

LOL this guy is living a fantasy. And making up some much bullshit I had to get a scuba tank to keep from drowning.

Suggestions for a build, low low budget

At Christmas time RK guns ran a sale on 300BLK Andros complete uppers, $199, I grabbed one. The white box was filthy like it was sitting on the warehouse shelf for years. The same week the LGS ran Anderson complete lowers for $99 grabbed one of those. Joined the upper and the lower now have a 300BLK for $298. I added a Romeo MSR and bipod I had laying around.
a couple of weeks ago they ran the lowers again so I bought another one, these are multi cal lowers. Which caliber would make another good gun. I am thinking 7.62. I am waiting to find another great sale, hopefully.
Definitely a low budget build I am not expecting them to shoot like my SIG AR's but for a few hundred they are hard to beat and if something happens to them no big deal.
This is the 300 done. I am waiting on the paperwork to come back for the suppressor.
