SOLD Sold

The Poor Man's Henderson Gen2.5. It uses the Henderson collet handle, slide rails, and bolt stop system. Forster 3 way cutting tools in (2)6.5mm one brand new one used but in perfect working order, 6mm, and 30cal. The stand and power supply mount are home made, it's a 24v variable power supply, varying the voltage so it varies the rpm on the DC motor from Dayton. There's a bit of runout in the motor spindle, so anyone interested in it could either live with it like I did for thousands of rounds, replace the motor, or if they are crafty and have the know-how, they could take some material off the end of the spindle and eliminate the runout. The runout doesn't stop it from working, I just got annoyed by the vibration due to it, and decided to just buy the real deal.

450 takes the whole lot shipped

SOLD Accuracy International AI AT-X Rifle, Dark Earth, 6.5 CM, Folding Stock with extras

PRICED TO SELL QUICK (See Below); The first public "I'll Take It" post on this listing gets this rifle.

Up for sale is one of my AT-X rifles in Dark Earth with an unfired/new Accuracy International factory 6.5 Creedmoor 24" barrel. I bought it new in 2022 and shot only 40 rounds through it to zero it with a .308 barrel I had off another AI rifle of mine. Because this rifle never left the my gun safe except for one range trip, it is an outstanding condition (see photos).

The rifle also comes with an AW magazine and the following hard to get extras (original costs provided below for reference - not including taxes/shipping costs):

Accuracy International AT-X 20 MOA Action Rail AI-29394BL $123 (from EuroOptic.com)

Accuracy International AT-X 20 MOA Forend Rail AI-29395BL $144 (from EuroOptic.com)

Accuracy International AT-X Black Universal Hinge Assembly Kit 29795BL $240 (from EuroOptic)

Accuracy International AT-X Dark Earth Long Forend Bridge AI-29379DE $265 (from EuroOptic)

Hoptic Two Round Quiver $58 (from Hoptic.com)

The total original cost of this AT-X with all of the above extras was over $5000 (cost of rifle, items, shipping, taxes, etc.). I'm letting it go for $4200 shipped to your FFL, saving you cash and all the waiting that comes with putting a rig like this together.

PayPal Friends & Family is preferred for payment to avoid fees on my end. If you want to use traditional PayPal Goods & Services, you'll have to cover all transaction fees (+3%). I’ll also accept cash during a face-to-face deal if you live near Raleigh, NC.

Feel free to PM me with any questions/requests for additional photos you might have.

Thanks for checking out my listing and have a good one! S/F!

PS: If you are looking for a scope for this rifle, check out the Schmidt & Bender that I'm also selling. We can work out a package price.

If former President Trump wins in November...

When one tries to “reason” with a Liberal, remember you are dealing with a person who believes that a man can be a woman and a woman can be a man and that such a delusion should be encouraged, not discouraged. Discouragement of the delusion is considered immoral and bigoted. Thus, our society has unnecessary dilemmas concerning bathrooms, athletic competition at all levels, and “pronoun” controversies subjecting ourselves to all manner of laws, rules, regulation and more needless government control.

Here is a suggestion to break the left’s ridiculous gender ideology and denial of biological reality.

President Trump should make a declaration that he is identifying as a woman. The left will have to admit the absurdity of their gender ideology or accept and celebrate “Donna Trump” as the first woman President, thus beating Hillary, Liz Warren, Amy Klobuchar, Kamala Harris and Kirsten Gillibrand to the glorious goal of one of their “female firsts."

Furthermore, if he remains married to Melania, he will also be the first gay president and the first lesbian president. He will also be the first lesbian president married to an immigrant! What a most glorious event for the democrats to celebrate.

HR 6981 Legislation Introduced that would Eliminate and make Illegal Private Church Security and others.

Yep... These fools are at it again. The "Preventing Private Military Act of 2024" introduced by Democrats. This bill would re-classify church security teams as "Paramilitary Organizations" and make the terrorist groups essentially.

What makes this worse is this is partly sponsored by Senator Laphonza Butler who was APPOINTED by Gavin Newsome and not elected to fill that seat until the election.

Mom of Chiefs Shooting Suspect Starts GoFundMe to Get Him Through This ‘Tragic Time’

This photo provided by Jackson County Detention Center shows Lyndell Mays. Prosecutors sai

The New York Post reported the mother of Kansas City Chiefs parade shooting suspect Lyndell Mays has launched a GoFundMe for him, stressing that she wants to help him get through this “tragic time.”
Breitbart News noted that two adults were charged Tuesday in connection with the February 15, 2024, Chiefs parade shooting. Mays was one of the two, and Dominic Miller was the other.
The Associated Press pointed out that there was a dispute and Jackson County prosecutor Jean Peters Baker said that following the dispute, Mays allegedly “pulled his handgun first almost immediately.”
According to the Post, Mays’ mother, Teneal Burnside, launched a GoFundMe for Mays, which she has now deleted.
But while the GoFundMe was up it included a photo of Mays in the hospital with gunshot wounds and text which said, “He is in the ICU fighting for a recovery from several surgeries from going to the Chiefs’ Super Bowl celebration with his older sister.”
It also said, “Getting shot multiple times at a time that was [meant] to bring so much joy to so many has [brought] pain and sadness to all that was attending.”
The charges Mays currently faces include second-degree murder.

NO NEED TO WONDER WHY THIS FINE UPSTANDING YOUNG MAN TURNED OUT LIKE HE DID...LIKE MOTHER, LIKE SON.

Introducing kids to shooting

From Thehighroad.org. Behold the autism.

We often speak about the importance of trainers' aptitude for teaching.

Read this and see if you can use any of it. Or just enjoy it.

Fifty years ago this summer, I put some rifles in the trunk and went back into the house to fill a canteen. When I came back out, the eleven year old boy who lived across the street was in the passenger seat. He had interpreted something I had said to his mother as an invitation to take him shooting.

Okey dokey.

On the way out, I handed him a ball point pen with advertising on it and asked him to read both sides. The conversation went like this:
  • At how many people have you pointed that pen?
  • No, not just people right next to us--include the truckers coming the other way, and the folks at the gas station.
  • If that were a gun, you would have endangered every one of them.
  • Have you ever seen a watermelon that has been dropped and broken? That's what your head....
I was obviously making an impression, and I got some unexpected help.. As I turned off into the Busch Wildlife Preserve to go to the range, an ambulance was pulling out. They were finishing dog training, and a youngster had blown off one of his toes with a shotgun blank while resting the muzzle on his shoe.

I said "let's see if there are any bone fragments in the gravel". He was shaking.

At the range, I sat down next to Danny and handed him one .22 LR cartridge at a time to load into my old Remington 12C. I didn't get any shooting in that day--or the next time.

Years later, I called to talk to my now adult friend. He was out with his son with a new air rifle.

His wife said "You wouldn't believe what he made Jacob go through. He sat him down with a ball point pen....and then they went outside with a watermelon...".

Dan called the other day. He had just bought his grandson a Red Ryder BB gun.

I had one when I was eight years old.

Soft vs hard case question

I need a case and I just don't know what to do. I understand the soft case for the range, hard case to travel concept. My application is solely to travel with the case in the trunk of my car to the range, and that's it.

I take all my optic (red dot, ACOG, etc.) rifles to the range with various soft cases with no issues. I have a bench rifle that had a Leupold 3-15 power scope on it and for that I used an MTM hard case, which worked quite well for low cost.

Now the question. I changed the scope to a Vortex Razor HD Gen III 6-36x56. This scope is a monster. The turrets are about 4" wide left to right. It obviously won't fit in my MTM case. With 1" of padding on each side I'd need at least a 6" depth for this.

I assumed with a scope this expensive (for me) and bulky I'd want a hard case. I was looking at say a Pelican Vault V730 because it's deep enough, and with a 20" barrel on this rifle I can get almost 2" of cushion on each end, and still get the case in my trunk.

The issue at hand is, as I have read in several other threads here, a heavy (about 22 pounds with foam) hard case seems like overkill for a trip to the range. On the other hand with turrets about 4" wide would this really be the exception to the rule for a hard case for the range? I just can't see how this would work well in a soft case. Not to mention nowadays most decent soft cases are priced about the same as this low-end Pelican.

This gun is basically a bench gun for me, used at the range only. At this range I have yet to see any bench/precision rifle shooter show up with anything but a hard case. When hunters show up for their yearly sight in with scopes like my Leupold they are almost all soft cases. I've never seen anyone with a big scope (or a Nightforce, Tangent Theta, ZCO, etc.) use anything but a hard case.

I would love some input on this. Lighter is obviously easier, but with this quite large scope I'm a bit concerned if it would protect it well enough given the width (if there is even a soft case able to accommodate that wide of a scope). Thanks for any insight and opinions on this.

Nylon String?

I know I am geeking out on some stupid stuff, but I am wondering if anyone can shed some light on the different types of nylon string and why one would be better than the other.

Last year when I grew my tomatoes I used some mason's string from the local hardware store. There was a lot that I like about it but other things that I didn't. The main thing that I did not like was tying knots was a pain. It would unravel the knot and more or less was 'resistant' to holding a knot. It seemed like it was a bit 'stiffer' than the old trotline string I used to use as a kid.

Of course as I practiced my googlefu I now have more questions than answers. People are talking about tarred lines and bank lines and all sorts of stuff.

Also just in case you were wondering, I am not interested in jute or cotton butcher's twine. I want to use a stronger line that can hold up much better to the elements.

The only other criteria I have is that the diameter of the string needs to allow me to use tomato clips on it.

Maggie’s Lotta Hoopla about oil production in USA.

What they fail to mention is that those wells were probably drilled Pre-O. The point is, no drilling has been going on since, and though those wells are producing they will run dry, they aren't bottomless.
It's fkd up the way they are touting that! Almost all of our strategic reserve is gone and bo drilling is happening. It takes YEARS between wells drilled, pipelines built and production. I wish I could convey the urgency!!
