Brass consistency hierarchy

Hello, so I've upped the ante for rabbit hole infiltration. When it comes to achieving the most consistent reloaded ammunition, what is the ranking for most to least important with segregation, 1) headspace distance (use of Redding Instant Indicator, example some rounds are 0, some are +/-.001, .002, etc), 2) ogive to lands (use of Redding Instant indicator), 3) brass weight, 4) length of brass, or 5) something I'm missing? I use Lapua for 6mmBR, Alpha Munitions & Lapua small rifle for 6.5 Creedmoor and Lapua and Federal GM match for .308. Bullets are all match grade Sierra or Hornady. At the range, I usually have a good group but with 1 "flyer" in 5 probably 7 out of 10 times. Maybe the "flyer" was me or environmental but at least I can have piece of mind that the rounds are as well-prepared as they can be. P.S. no neck-turning, goal is consistency and repeatability for mainly informal target practice and prep for 1000 yard shooting. Thanks.

Was I surprised

Bought a factory Remington 700 PCR in 6.5 CM, it came with a 0 MOA Pic rail. Out to 1000 the rifle was dead on but I couldnt get enough elevation out of it so I decided to switch it for a 30 MOA I had laying around. . I go to take the screws out of the old rail and holy moly theiy're only finger tight and one, the front was not even that tight.

Weather has prevented me from taking it out, but that kind or got my attention.. When I put the rail on my new 7PRC I made sure they are loctite'd and properly torqued.

Anybody want to buy a nice, used, 0MOA rail?

‘The Dukes of Hazzard’ Star John Schneider to Joe Biden: ‘I Believe You Are Guilty of Treason and Should Be Publicly Hung. Your Son Too’

<> at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on January 2, 2014 in New York City.

The Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider has called for the public execution of President Joe Biden, saying the commander in chief should to be “publicly hung” for treason. The actor also called for Hunter Biden to be executed.
John Schneider posted the X message in reply to Biden’s recent post in which he called former President Donald Trump a “threat” to democracy.
“Mr. President, I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hung. Your son too. Your response is…?” the actor wrote.
image-7.png

As his poll numbers continue to plummet, Biden has increasingly fallen back on the semantic trick of equating himself with “democracy,” thus casting any political challenger as a “threat” to democracy.
Schneider’s call for Biden’s execution comes after years of left-wingers calling for violence and even the assassination of then-President Donald Trump.
A report in 2017 from the left-wing Mashable found more than 12,000 tweets calling for Trump’s assassination. The report ran just several days after Trump’s inauguration. It remains unclear if anyone was held accountable for those tweets.
Some Hollywood celebrities have called for violence against Trump, usually without negative repercussions to their careers. In 2o20, Bette Midler encouraged Joe Biden to kick the then-President Trump “in the nuts” during the first presidential debate, adding that Biden should pummel the president.
John Schneider hasn’t been shy about his dislike of Biden.
In 2021, the actor said that Biden should not “show his face” in Lousiana in the wake of devastation caused by Hurricane Ida.

Scotch Drinkers

I found I like Glenlivet 12. It's the best scotch I've had to date which is not very many. I tried JW Red, Black and Blue and the blue was the best but not the flavor I'm looking for and not in my go to price range. I had a few glasses of JW 18 year this past weekend and it was good, but I still like the Glenlivet better.
I like the Earthy, mossy, taste of the 12. Am I alone in this? I'm looking to try other brands that have the same tasting notes. Looking for a bottle for nightly to weekend pours that run around $100 but would be willing to spend more for the right bottle.
Thanks

Put the book down and walk away thread.

You guys know I read quite a bit. I also like to try to keep an open mind when reading. I like to tell myself I am open to all sides of an argument, as long as all sides are weighted in an equal manner. Most people can't do that however, or lie to themselves telling them that they are doing it.

Generally I read non fiction, and when I do read fiction there is a pretty slanted message behind it, 1984, brave new world, Ayn rand.....you can see the slant there.

I also don't know authors AT ALL. Sitting here the name Jack London popped into my head, and that is because he was in a star trek episode. I could not tell you what he wrote (call of the wild?) or something like that.

Point is I don't know how specific authors lean, I have only done a deep dive on one author and that was Rand.

So now I am reading my new book (half price books is a fantastic place) and before I post up a pic of it I will give on one bit that was talked about in chapter 8 (where I had to walk away)

Talking of one group, the author said to the effect, if the towns people did not agree to follow them they would kill the town leaders, but first it often would be middle ages style torture, followed by burry alive.

When talking of the other side, and towns people suspected of helping the other side, we go very deep into the tortures, getting plyers and ripping out teeth to get the gold fillings, Ripping off fingers to get gold rings. Naturally what happens to girls and women. Blow by blow detail.

See the difference.

Early on in the book it talks about England having the "good sense" to elect a socialist .gov after WWII because if not India, Bruma, Malaysia...........would have never gotten self gov. MMMMKkkkkk.

I had a feeling I knew the slant at that part but kept going.

The spot where I said, I just can't read this anymore was the total glossing over of the tortures inflicted by "the other side".

You might have guessed it by now, with my other topics of late....

I wanted an early history, a what lead up to where we sat in 1963. But I did not get that. It went pretty quick down the France bad, and as a direct result the English and Americans are bad too. But we will not leave anyone out in the bashing, side trips into places like Congo, and other african areas are not forgotten about.

I will do a "review" of the book in the normal thread in a bit,

Really what I am looking for is how often does this happen to you.....and do you keep reading it, or do you just say, nope too much wrong, then move on.

In the time I have started reading like a mad man, I would say 2-3 years ago, I have come across one other that I could not finish and it was on the Spanish-American war.

Just looking to see what other folks do. Not that it really matters, I have closed the cover on this specific book, it is just glossing over too many things and drawing attn to other things. It is not even handed.

One more red pill to add to the pile

I’ve been banging this drum for a while and I will continue to do so.

I'm also pretty outspoken about some variation of low carb/high fat diets. But I’ve recently come across a diet hypothesis that says metabolic health is not about glucose/insulin but mostly about mitochondrial function in every cell of your body. The more efficiently mitochondria can produce atp, the better everything in your body will perform. And lo and behold, heavily refined seed oils are nothing but poison for mitochondria

PS. I know “no refunds” is for vaxxed morons… but… “No refunds!”

Really like the concept of M24 style backup irons for my bolt gun. Where buy?

I currently have a Rem 700 long action and am planning to slap a M24 contour barrel on it once I wear the rifling out of the current barrel.

The M24 used by the US Army has iron sight bases screwed onto the barrel that they can easily put irons on in the unlikely event that the scope bites the dust.
I doubt I will ever need to do so but I am a man who enjoys redundancy and all my rifles have irons. I would like to continue that tradition. Where can I find the bases and irons?

Rifle Scopes First NF Atacr. 200 yds blurry at 200 yds

This is my first NF atacr. 5-25x56 moar. Parallax doesnt match yds marked on scope. Read that is common.

The sight clarity at 200 yds full magnification the sight was kinda blurry.

Ive ran razor g2. Razor g3. Kahles. ZCO. Mark 5hd.

All those seem to perform better at full magnification. Im slightly unimpressed with the atacr.

Any one else find the atacr sight quality isnt that good at full magnification?
