Man Crushed to Death by Trash Compactor After Climbing into Garbage Chute in Brooklyn Apartment Building

A man was crushed to death by a trash compactor after climbing into the garbage chute with the help of two people, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD).

The man’s body was found in a Brooklyn apartment building on Gates Avenue in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood at around 4:00 a.m. on Friday.

Surveillance footage reportedly shows the man entering the garbage chute while being assisted by two people who appear to be a man and a woman. After the man enters the chute, they hold a phone flashlight to give him light, presumably to light up the dark space, the New York Post reported.

Fifteen minutes later, the man’s mutilated body was found dead in the compactor. He was believed to be in his 50s, PIX 11 reported.

Police have not yet determined why the man entered the garbage chute, although some neighbors speculated he may have been attempting to retrieve his keys.

“Why would you go get your keys in the incinerator?” A resident of the building told the Post.

“I’d leave them down there, wait for maintenance to come or get another pair made. … I dropped my keys in an incinerator one time and I left them there,” the resident added.

It is also unknown if the man who died was a resident of the building.

The incident does not appear to be criminally motivated, as the man climbed into the chute of his own accord, police said via the New York Daily News.

Bet he won't do that again!

Firearms Tenacity barreled action with BRUX, trigger tech diamond, and choice of brake…

I’m selling a “medium”(308win, Creedmoor, etc.) Tenacity action with AW mag cut. I’d like to offer to chamber up a new barrel for the buyer, and include a trigger tech diamond flat shoe, and either an AREA419 sidewinder or Axis Worx Enabler brake.
It was one of my PRS rifles… it had a 6creedmoor barrel on it but that’s pretty much shot out.
Rather than sell the action, trigger, and brake separately I want to sell it as a barreled action with a new barrel on it and the parts mentioned above for $2000.

I have BRUX barrel blanks on hand.

Text me at 4804678090 to discuss it or get pics.

I can have the new barrel chambered up and finished in one week.

Everything is in great shape. I’m selling it because I need new glass.

Thanks

FBI Says Deadly ‘Rust’ Gun Could Not Have Fired Without Someone Pulling Trigger

“The gun used in the fatal shooting on the Rust movie set could not have been fired without pulling the trigger, ” far-left ABC News reported, summarizing an FBI forensic report.

This is in direct conflict with actor Alec Baldwin’s claim he did not pull the trigger on the gun that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins last year during a camera rehearsal.

“No, no, no, no, I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger at them, never,” Baldwin told George Stephanopolous in December. “The trigger wasn’t pulled. I didn’t pull the trigger,” he added.

The FBI says otherwise:

Accidental discharge testing determined that the firearm used in the shooting — a .45 Colt (.45 Long Colt) caliber F.lli Pietta single-action revolver — could not have fired without the trigger being pulled, the FBI report shows.
With the hammer in the quarter- and half-cock positions, the gun “could not be made to fire without a pull of the trigger,” the report stated.
With the hammer fully cocked, the gun “could not be made to fire without a pull of the trigger while the working internal components were intact and functional,” the report stated.

As of this writing, Baldwin has yet to comment on the report.

Normally, we expect the corrupt FBI to cover up for a left-wing sacred cow like Alec Baldwin. My guess is that if the FBI could have covered up for Baldwin, it would have. Such a cover-up would benefit Democrats in two ways: 1) protect their pal Baldwin, and 2) make the eeeevil gun that mysteriously shoots itself the villain.

But even an FBI as corrupt as this one has to draw a line somewhere. As much as the feds might have wanted to protect the left’s precious Alec, claiming a gun fired itself is a bridge too far.

This FBI report also confirms Breitbart’s analysis. At the time, we detailed the lack of credibility in Baldwin’s claim that he did not pull the trigger—which is only credible if you are dealing with a faulty and broken gun that can only fire by snapping back the hammer.

It should be noted that nothing in the FBI report disputes another possibility: that Baldwin drew the gun, depressed the trigger during the draw, and kept it depressed. With some single-action revolvers, it is possible that if you keep the trigger depressed, you can fire the weapon by pulling back the hammer, which allows the hammer to snap forward and fire the bullet.

Baldwin did admit to Stephanopoulos that he cocked the gun while pointing it at the doomed Hutchins.

“I cock the gun, and I go, ‘Can you see that? Can you see that? Can you see that?’ And I let go of the hammer of the gun and the gun goes off,” Baldwin told Stephanopoulos. “The trigger wasn’t pulled. I didn’t pull the trigger,” he added.

It is possible he had the trigger depressed the entire time, and when he let go of the hammer, it snapped forward and fired the fatal bullet.

In that case, he still pulled the trigger but might not have been conscious of the fact he had.

Nothing else makes sense.

Things I’ve decided Gunsmiths should offer 🧐

I think I caught a cold so with all my free time I’ve decided to tackle some serious issues.

First off, let’s discuss something I’ve always found a little odd.

Why can I reach out to my gunsmith, order a chamber cut for whatever the heck I want? I can go as far as ask for a chamber cut to a specific projo, awesome. When the rifle arrives it comes with all kinds of awesome data. Twist rate, contour, rail screw dimensions, you know all this detailed stuff.

Here’s the rub…..why doesn’t the gunsmith tell me the distance from the bolt face to the lands? Wouldn’t this be useful?

Wouldn’t this be ideal for handloading? For checking barrel wear?

Or did I have too much cough syrup?

Primer pocket difference in velocity, ES SD.

I have had a long time wish to test, does the small primer pocket has anything better, than large rifle primer in Lapua brass and
popular 6.5 Creedmoor caliber.
Received finally the LR brass from Lapua to test it.
Competition Electronics DLX chrono was the measuring tool, i like it better than labradar, it will work, no matter how you shoot thru it.
I have read a document few year back in G&A, and there the sr primer pocket was better.
I had 123gr Scenar and Vihtavuori N150 38,6gr in both cases, both cases were brand new, none shot.
SR is CCI magnum 450, and LR CCI 200.
Check out the results.

With the amount of people that message me trying to Illegally purchase Firearms from me I have to ask!

Is lvl 4 armor worth it?

Researching plate carriers/armor and of course I want the best, so I jump to lvl 4 and looking at all the plates offered and got to thinking...

Sure, itll stop m2AP, but......... thats a lot of fucking energy hitting you.. a lot. Yeah, you wont have a hole in you, but 100% its going to put you on your ass instantly, now you're on the ground, with most likely enternal injuries/bleeding... Are you as good as dead, or atleast laying there, wishing you were dead after getting hit by a armor piercing freight train?

So two years ago I bought 16 acres in rural West Virginia just so I could have someplace to shoot.

So a couple of years ago I bought some wild land in WV just to have someplace to shoot. Most of the property is vertical but there's enough level ground to have a really decent range. You only have to Bush Hog it a few times a year otherwise mother nature will overgrow it while you watch.
A few months back I got tired of the heat and the bugs and having to douse myself in bug repellant. I went and bought a nice on-sale, pre-built shed and dropped it on the only truly level spot within 15 miles. I then insulated the walls, got a 10,000 btu air conditioner, cut a hole in the short wall, and framed it in. I then made a box to put over it in a likely vain attempt to disguise, hide and secure it. So far no one has stolen it. Of course, they could just as easily haul off the whole shed. If they could find it. I'm probably wrong about that. I'm sure every local knows exactly where all the noise comes from. I expect anytime to show up and see big purple dicks spray painted all over it and everything gone including the insulation but so far so good.
I power it, and everything else by a Generac 7500 generator that I take with me in the bed of my pickup truck. I just backup to the shed and plugin. They'll likely strip out the wire I put in too, now that I think about it but so far, so good. I didn't buy the Generac for this, I had it because I lose power at my home every time a sparrow farts.
I can now shoot in air-conditioned comfort, on a nice shooting bench made into the long wall below the window. When I told my buddies about it they all laughed...until we all got together like we usually do. Guys were fighting for the window seat. It was a 93-degree day and the humidity was so high it was like a sauna outside. There are now plans to expand the window and bench wall. I don't have to do a thing or pay for a thing. All I have to do is say OK.
The only downside to any of this is that I have to drive about 2-1/2 hours to get there.

Precision Underground Rear Bags Videos and Info- Reactivated Discount Code-

Update- 2/2023 We are caught up after the holiday chaos and I can't thank everyone enough for the support. Discount code DontFallForTheKnockoff is back up for 10% off rear bags 🤙 As always, if you get a bag from us you're buying your perfect bag. We'll adjust it or swap it out until it does exactly what you want it to do.

If you're new to the hide check out one of our early threads for a primer on our bags. We started in a garage with a walmart sewing machine and a distain for rear bags that have no design intent.

Updated fill demo video to show how our fill is different-

Tips on working the rear bag-
We’ve had a few guys ask about adjusting the bags because the locking full squeezes a little differently than a standard polymer bead fill. If you’re used to just squeezing the bag around to aim, the video will point out a few tweaks that will make for easy adjustment and also explain why the adjustment will actually help you in the long run 🤙🏻

Original post-
What’s up fam! Not much time for posting lately as we’ve been slammed but as always we appreciate all the support!

We’ve got a new bag coming out that is going to be the culmination of 4 years of testing, thousands of bags made, and feedback from you. I constantly get asked whether the Pro or the Rx is better and it’s hard to answer. Then it dawned on me to just design one that takes the best of both bags and rolls it into one. I’ll give some backstory and info below but if you’d rather cut to the chase the link to the bag is below.

I’ll do a quick rundown to show what the difference will be from our two most popular bags.

ELRx-
Our first bag was the ELRx. This bag was much different than what was on the market 3-4 years ago because we filled it fairly full and it uses our locking fill that really keeps your stock in place. This was an outlier in rear bags at a time when everyone else was talking about making 1/2 full bags with slippery beads so you could easily steer the stock. We went in the opposite direction as we don’t feel like steering the rifle with the bag makes any sense fundamentally. I see some folks entering the game now and talking about “stuffing” bags tightly as if it’s revolutionary and they came up with it…..I have to laugh bc they're missing an important part of the equation. Don’t be fooled by imitators. The ELRx is still our best seller for a reason.

ELR Pro-
Not everyone likes a firm bag. We sent some bags to Frank/lowlight a while back and he wanted less fill/more empty space to be able to squeeze the stock through the bag. We went back-and-forth until we figured out what fill level he likes and the ELR Pro was born. This bag is slightly bigger than the Rx but there’s more empty space inside the bag to allow your support hand to pinch the stock and do more of the work. This is great for pinchers bc you get the control without fighting slippery beads in a loose bag. We also added an adjustable strap on the short side to allow better hand placement in that orientation. If you like to pinch the rifle with your thumb and forefinger on the support hand this is the bag for you. I do try to stress to people that just because Frank uses it doesn’t mean it’s the bag you need. Our opinion is that most shooters are better off with a bag that is more full and I think a lot of people are coming around to that now.

The New Guy- The F1-
The new bag is going to bring the best of both worlds. It takes features from both the Rx and the Pro as well as adding some other tweaks/adjustments. It’s slightly more slim and we’ve adjusted the ratio in our filler to be more stable than ever. Both straps will have adjustability so you can loosen them or tighten them to get the feel you want. We’ve made and tested a lot of bags over the years and I can tell you this is going to be at the top of the food chain. As always it comes with free adjustments and a satisfaction guarantee.

If you already run one of our bags and love it I’m not saying you should run out and buy this one. By all means we’d love to sell you one, but I want to be clear this is not a product born of marketing or a need to just sell more bags. It won’t be wildly different from the Rx or the Pro but the adjustments and additions to tweak the design and bridge the gap between the two. I feel like it’s the best bag we’ve made 100%. It will be available in coyote and BMC only at this time because there’s something about those fabrics that have a great feel. This bag is designed to be the best rear bag we can make and that’s going to go all the way down to the feel of the fabric.

Accessories WTS McMillan and HS Precision stocks - price drop

After a lot of flipping around, I finally ordered an HTG and as I don't think I really need three stocks for the same rifle, I am offering up these two.

McMillan U-3 short action (universal for Remington 700 and clones). Universal version of the A-3. If you like the ease of chassis bolt-in but want a fiberglass stock then this is your jam. This has a straight edge so it works for whatever ejection port you are rocking. The barrel width is 1.25" so bring your truck axel pipes. No damage, pic rail on the bottom with a flush cup, more cups left front and left rear plus one more on the bottom rear, adjustable via clamp wheel cheek, M5 DBM inlet, and adjustable length of pull.
$720 $670 $640 shipped cont U.S. PP f&f or you cover the fee.

SOLD - HS Precision take-off from a Sendero Remington 700 short action. This is a catch and release. Unmolested BDL inlet, double studs up front, one in rear, Remington branded butt pad, and a barrel channel that I measured at 1.238".
