SOLD Remington 700 M24

Listing one of my M24 rifles, I've decided I want to get into a big boy gas gun and need to create some funds. I put this rifle together late last year, mostly with the help of this forum. Barreled action is new/unfired and is in excellent condition. It's from one of the ASA commemorative rifles from Eurooptic. The stock and bottom metal I purchased from a member here, it is in excellent condition with maybe a few light handling marks, mostly like new though. Trigger is a surplus XM2010 that was converted to an M24 trigger. Scope is a Leupold Mark 4 M3, TMR reticle, 168 gr turret, Leupold Mark 4 steel rings w/logo (medium). Some of these parts are definitely getting hard to find. I am willing to sell the rifle with or without the scope/rings, but not interested in selling just the scope by itself or splitting up the rifle. No box, it does come with the manual though. I think I have the box for the scope but will have to double check. Rifle only $2750 plus shipping, Rifle/scope combo $3650 plus shipping. Bipod is not included. Payment methods are negotiable, but if using PayPal or any other form of electronic payment if must be made friends and family with absolutely no comments or mention of goods...Trades? Not likely but I'm never opposed to the idea, mostly looking to get into a higher end AR-10 platform or possibly a SCAR 20s (not interested in any builds). If you have any questions or would like to see additional pictures feel free to ask. Thanks for looking!

True to size Allen Key sets.. do they exist?

All of the 4-5 sets I have seem to be made in Chynah and are slightly off in size making it even easier to jack up an allen key bolt head. I'm tired of these junkers. Need something that will hold-up over time and offered in a short and longer configuration.

Who makes a solid true to size American made, ratchet or T-handle, Allen Key sets? What about Torx?

Thanks,
Preston

Accessories New scammer "goodluck"

amazing how fast the scammers come out on a WTB. Posted i was looking for an impact 223 bolt and barrel. this dick got ahold of me with pictures within 12hrs. Problem is they are from AdamB from nov 25th i believe on a 223 trainer he had for sale. I actually almost bought it at the time and regret now i didn't. I told the scammer i wanted a photo ID plus 2 other forms of ID , phone number and a live Facetime call as He'd only just joined earlier that day. Haven't heard from since. Beware

Time for Wile E to meet the ACME .223?

So I let the dog out last night after dinner to do his business (85 lb German Shephard). It was dark and as usual, I shined the field behind the house for critters that he may want to chase and saw a few deer way out near the tree line (14 acre field). I let him go and he proceeded to his usual spot about 50 yds from the house to go #1 and then move about 25 yds parallel to the house to go #2. Mid #2, his head snaps around so I shine the light and see a coyote looking at him from about 50 yds away from his position. I watched the coyote and he started to trot towards my Shephard. I called my guy and he came back to the house. For the next 5 minutes, I watched the coyote mark both spots where my guy had gone, roll in his #2 and generally sniff and mark the entire area. I stood on the patio watching and at some point yelled at the coyote to get lost. At this point, he started trotting towards me. He stopped about 25 yds out, actually on the lawn and then proceeded to slowly trot parallel to the house and ultimately into the woods, marking a few more spots on the way. He was good sized, almost as big as my Shephard although with a full winter coat, probably looked a lot bigger than it actually was. I hear them occasionally at night when they find a meal but only see them on occasion crossing the field and never close to the house when there is any activity going on. This one was very close to the house, lingered for quite a while and showed no fear of the dog or me and that concerns me. Particularly since I am not the only one that lets the dog out. It could be my wife or kids and he does not listen as well to them. Also, where there's one... I would prefer not to kill the coyote but I also don't want to worry about the dog or family when I'm not home. Shooting isn't an issue as there is nothing but woods behind me for at least a mile and I can't see any of my neighbors. I'd be interested in thoughts on the coyote's behavior and if my concerns are justified? I attached a photo of the back yard. The dog was further out than the deer and the coyote came in from the left.

Domestic Terrorism Department

Wondering which Karen will be the Department head.

So much for the trusty, reliable Beretta 92

I don't want to join a Beretta forum or some crap so I'll just bitch about this here. Purchased my Beretta 92X Performance Defensive on December 6th. Went to the range, got used to it. Shoots great. Go to an IDPA match, first time bringing the 92X along. All goes well until round three. It starts stovepiping everything. Can't extract. Gun totally locks up. I have to do some finger gymnastics to get the spent case out of the barrel while pressing down on the next round so it'll just... cycle.

Show the gun to the guys, one of which is a gunsmith, and he immediately points out my extractor's claw is cracked/bent (see photo). After no more than 100 rounds.

Of course the pivot pin that holds the extractor in is staked, so it's going to be a pain to remove but... I can live with that. But... after calling Beretta to find out what they're going to do to make this right, they inform me I either ship my pistol in to their service center (at my expense, which would cost 5x more than an extractor part) or they'll send me an extractor. I chose the latter. Then she told me they're on backorder potentially for the next 4 months. Fuh-king-great! There goes IDPA. I guess I save ammo?

So I'm like... how about we just replace my pistol since I haven't even gotten past a few boxes of ammo and a month with it before it failed? She's like... well, you'd have to mail it in and we'd opt to repair it first. I say, yeah but you don't have anything to repair it with so how exactly is that going to work? She says they'd hold on to it until the part was available. Right... so not only will the part not be available for some odd amount of time but you'll be in possession of my $1,500 gun? I think not.

I bought this from a dealer hours away from me, I cannot find a local Beretta dealer that'll take the gun and send it back without charging me AT LEAST $35+ for FFL services. (I haven't tried Academy yet and might just because I have sent another pistol in for repair through them at no cost to me.) Anyway, here's how warranty should work. ANY dealer that is authorized to sell new Beretta pistols should be a place I can simply drop my pistol off and have it shipped in for warranty repair - FFL to FFL like FedEx and UPS demand now. I'll gladly pay a fee/shipping up front that is refunded once a warranty claim is deemed necessary and completed. But no, I have to instead find some way to ship a pistol with these changing UPS and FedEx rules and pay for overnight shipping that costs at least 3-5x the amount an extractor would cost to buy and install. And the way Beretta warranty works, you just "leave a note" about what the issue is in the box... they have no idea it's coming. No RMA... nothing. Sad.

30 Super Carry

Do we really need another handgun cartridge?

Let's see over the past 20-25 years:
45 GAP - toast
357 Sig - about toast
327 Federal Mag - still made in an LCR (and this is one I like the concept to get one more round in J-frame..if they still made one)
327 H&R Mag - mostly toast
32 NAA - toast

Probably missing a few here in my list as well.

What's going to make this one a legitimate marketplace member?

lgbTq who doesn't like Biden

This happened to me a few hours ago...

Pushing shopping cart up the aisle, I stopped to look at something.
As I start moving again I have to stop for a person with cart who cut the corner tight and was moving fast.
As he goes by he says "cool hat. Biden is a moron" (I was wearing a "Let's Go Brandon" hat)
He was dressed as a woman and wearing makeup.
Distinctive male voice. cheap dress. flip flops.
I was more surprised by his dislike of Biden than his appearance.

Maggie’s Ramen and noodles

I’ll preface this with I have no affiliation with either.
If you know David Chang then you know Momofuko. The noodles sold at Target are 🔥
Also, my buddy, a chef, helped develop these ramen with a Japanese chef through countless hours and trial and error and they are absolutely incredible. It took a lot to get them on a mass production and ability to ship and last a bit frozen. I add a “3 minute egg”.
Just wanted to share.
