AAC ammo grenading rifles

I put about 1700 rounds of 77gr I bought 6 months ago though various rifles. Some rifles shoot it good, some ehhh. But it shoots better than all 55 and 62gr ammo for a smidge more money. Also does very well out of short guns. I will be buying it and continuing to shoot it.

I did buy supervelle 55gr and out of 250 round I shot last weekend, I had 2 loose primers (fell out in gun), 2 blown primers, 1 no powder with squid, and 2 out of spec rounds. That’s a reminder why I DONT buy remain ammo.

Dialing wind Question

I will say it is much easier to forget how much your holding than what you have dialed, as what you have dialed is what you have dialed and you can look at it your windage if you forget, but with holding wind you can get lost in the sauce and forget what you just held. That being said dialing the wrong way between shots can happen if you aren’t careful.
Interesting that this is different for different people. On a troop line I am more likely to get lost dialing than I do holding, particularly if I have a miss and have to adjust. Holding forces me to have a number in my head for each hold. That number seems to stick better (I think this is because I have both the number in my head and a picture in my mind of what that looks like) when I hold vs when I dial. An added risk for me is that I cannot read my windage turret without coming way off the gun due to my eyesight.

20" 308s are retarded... run a 16 or a 24 if you "need" the velocity you're going subsonic before 1k regardless. You are talking minimal velocity loss between a 16 and a 20. Run the numbers with a 175... 16" 308s ftw.

Not if the length of your rail won't accommodate something as short as 16.5". I would go 18", but that would require me to get one spun up, and when 20" pre-fits are readily available, it's the easy choice.

Barrel wear Vs velocity/weight/energy

Something sounds wrong with that wear rate. Usually another zero in that mileage before we changed tires.

Never my favorite for long highway trips, but if we leave the asphalt behind they worked great.
5 brand new tires. 2K miles and the fronts had uneven wear (slanted like waaaaay too much camber). I got lucky and got a free wheel and tire assembly that matched and moved one of the front to the spare and put the new one and the spare in the rear and moved the two rear to the front.

The rear didn't actually have much wear which was odd because I had heard a lot of them are cambered out for weight in the rear and mine isn't. So to be fair it's really my fronts that will wear faster. I still don't want to replace them too often. Not to mention it kinda sucks to drive......it's either too hot, too cold or just too damn loud. When I have to leave work to pick the kids up from school everyday it's not a fun drive.
