That is MUCH more ridiculous. To say it's a scope of evil that large that no one will stand against it out of fear is absurd. If your theory is correct, there are millions of Americans who would consider it their entire reason for being, and the purpose of every ancestor's life stretching back to the beginning of time to stand against something like that. Sometimes you have to stand on the train tracks and try stop the locomotive with your hand. Raping children is one of those times, and I am not the only one who thinks so as evidenced by this thread.

That is not a realistic view of our government or of the human condition. It is a dark and jaundiced one that leaves no hope and no future. I don't and can't accept it, because I know our great capacity for good and selflesness as well as our capacity for evil.

Pouring a 30"×40" concrete pad on top of concrete floor?

High strength ready mix should do just fine, dont get it too wet, like a moderate porridge. I never hurts to roughen up the existing slab and or use a bonding agent, but with the rebar inserts and weight of a 30"x40" slab its not going anywhere. If you just have to, use a grinder and cut 1/2" grooves but not too close to the edges. Tap the edges of your form so te mud will settle and not leave voids on the edges.

Let it cure for at least a week as it takes 30 days to dry about 80%. IIRC Be sure to have a steel or magnesium trowel for finishing the surface.

Issue at hand is that obviously people on the list are of such wide political spectrum that doing formal process would unhinge the US system and probably remove veil of lies over peoples eyes and just might cause a revolution - which is an obvious no no for everyone involved including non guilty gov officials.
Unfortunately Trump is a failed experiment and whats coming is nothing good, american people did their job, peacefully tried to bring about change and as it can be seen it aint working.

Pouring a 30"×40" concrete pad on top of concrete floor?

Let me preface this - I dont know shit about concrete. The most I've ever done is mix up some quickcrete in a bucket and poured it into a hole in the ground to repair a fence post.

I would like to pour a 30"×40" pad, 6" tall, in my basement utility room to elevate a gun safe to protect it from any possible future water on the ground. The floor is a 1960's era poured concrete slab. It has a very smooth, almost polished finish. The floor has a gentle slope towards the center of the room so I need to have a flat pad.

My plan is to drill the current slab and hammer in maybe 6 pieces of rebar vertically so they stand 4" proud from the existing slab (and therefore will be 2" below the top of the new pad). Then pour the slab. Then finish with a sheet of heavy duty plastic on top, followed by a bit of carpet. Once the safe is dropped on the pad, I'll drill the 4 anchor holes and secure with Titen HD anchors from Simpson.

I've watched a couple YT videos and have a pretty good idea about the general process but I have some specific questions:

- Whats a good, self leveling concrete mix to buy that will withstand ~1500 lbs of static weight?

- I presume i will want to roughen up the surface to promote adherence. Whats a good DIY tool option for that? Then I'll apply a bonding agent before pouring.

- What else should I be thinking about or doing to make my life easier and ensure this pad stays intact and doesn't fall apart in 5 years?

Lapua 6.5 144gn Max Range Target

I know a batch of these new lapua bullets arrived in the states about a month ago and sold out real fast. Just wondering if anyone on here was able to scoop some up and have been able to do any testing and have any feeeback; take any bullet measurements and how they are shooting? I’m curious how close they are to the Berger 144’s. I’ve heard they are slightly different in shape/dimensions and have a tighter closed meplat. I’ve always liked lapua bullets. Easily the lapua scenars are the most forgiving and accurate bullets I’ve shot but bc has always been lack luster. The scenar L’s are probably the most consistent uniform bullet I’ve seen for weight and dimension. I’m hoping this new 144 has the same pedigree.

Yeah, if you want a general purpose .22 that you are just going to buy and shoot, go with either the T1X or the CZ. If you are going to modify it to fit some role, the CZ is kinda like the 10/22 of the rimfire bolt gun world.

Mine has a Lilja on it. Although I wasn't impressed with the machine work and was much less impressed with the customer support, I have to admit it's a hammer. Since I intended to shoot SK out if it, I set the headspace to .039, pillar bedded the action and torqued to 35 in-lbs. I've shot it against vudoo and RimX rigs and from an accuracy perspective, it holds its own. When it came to positional shooting, I'm at a disadvantage because mine isn't setup for that.
