Magpul - 2025 New Maztech X4-FCS & X4-LRF

Wait is that your video? I watched that the other week! Love your channel.

Idk how to actually measure it, vortex just told me the spec themselves and high end units (Wilcox etc) list the divergence on the product page. My issues was that the impact 4000 struggled to pick out standalone targets without a berm behind them. aka an ipsc target on a t post in the middle of the field

There are ways around it like lazing the base or lazing larger objects nearby but it was also frustrating not being able to aim at actual target.

I had the opportunity to run a full power RAPTAR XE which has sub .5 mil divergence and it was night and day difference with the ability to pick out targets and get accurate ranges.

If Maztech gave you a Unit for your channel they may give you the specs for it.

If the 15k is a similiar beam to the WILCOX or MARs then I’ll buy one ASAP.

Yep that’s my video and channel… been on the forum here a long time but just several years on the YouTube thing. Appreciate all the support from everyone here that watches!

Just ran the question by my contact at MAZTECH….15k beam divergence is .8 mils which is supposed to be the same as raptar and mars. He didn’t have the spec for the 2k version handy.

A bit of a teaser here but I have my impact 4k, fire 4k and MAZTECH 2k side by side compare filmed. Hope to get that launched maybe next weekend if all goes to plan.

Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy

1911 suffer "sear bounce" if you have an empty chamber. Feeding a round provides correct load to prevent it. Once or twice is fine. But 50 in a row will round off the sear to hammer point, and get slam fires. Which is bad.

I'm probably wrong, but wasnt there a trigger set / parts which said it didn't matter and they used higer quality materials with a springs or whatever?

Is a drop in which is compatible with prodigy DS.

Tubb 4-Way Adjustable Buttplate Help

Look into a chasis stock. So many to choose from. Beauty of the chasis is you can adjust it to fit You!!! Always hated the one size fits all stocks. They don't. For a long time really wanted a mcmillan a5 untill got hands on one. Grip was spot on but everything else not. To make it work for me would be major $$$$. Recent trend of chasis is major flexibility to fit you which it should be. IMHO wich don't mean shit.

Optics Swarovski 65mm Objective for stx,atx,btx $725

I'm going with a dedicated smaller spotter instead of using this on my STX. This is a 65mm objective that fits the swarovski modular spotting scopes. I was using it on my STX, but and going to a small spotter instead.

Asking $725 shipped.

Has one spot i can see on the objective lens. It might clean off, but I don't want to try. It in no way detracts from the viewing through the scope, just being as up front as I can. I'm also going to keep the RRS adaptor thats on it in the pictures. I'll need it for my next spotter.

X - Vectronix Shooting Solutions

Ok maybe a dumb question or something well known but I’m confused on the firing solution and range given when using the vector x with the on board ab suite. Is this a corrected firing solution for inclination/declination or is this a LOS solution. The manual shows when ballistics are turned off in the vectors that you can see inclination/declination in degrees a LOS measurement as well as the equivalent horizontal range (the corrected range when inclination is taken into account) does anyone know what the firing solution is actually giving me? I just shot a match with some pretty good uphill shots from 600 plus yards and my dope was consistently high. I should have took an angle measurement but I was thinking the high impacts were from a 20-30 12 o’clock wind coming down the canyon… now I’m not sure. Thanks

New Schmidt Bender?

This really is very interesting.
I went and looked again at that patent and at the patents that appear to have been stacked on top of it more recently.
The 2020 patent was abandoned. 2016, 2014, 2011 and 2010 patents are now showing and adjusted expiration date of June, 2026.

It looks like after June, 2026, barring any other changes, the FOV limitation will be no more.
