Louisiana is #1 + Shout out to Go Long Charters

Had a perfect tuna trip yesterday - we went out of Venice, LA, with Go Long Charters (https://www.golongcharters.com/) - beautiful 42' Freeman catamaran with quad 300's, ran 280 miles total, 140 miles to their secret hunting grounds - hooked 10 sea pigs, AKA yellowfin tuna, landed 8, one I caught topwater wasn't a keeper. - easy ride on a smooth boat at ~ 40, 45 mph. Literally hooked up on the first cast and caught all of them within 3 hours in one spot then turned around and headed home, ended up with 190 lbs of tuna meat. Couldn't have asked for a better day - my twins first tuna fishing experience set their bar high.

Can't say enough good about Go Long and Captain Alex, on time, super professional, the best I've ever seen with regard to being patient with clients and keeping lines clear considering how many times he hooked us up on 2 at once. I will chose them again without a second thought.

The bottom line is we will never see the LIST or hear much more about this. One of two things happened. Either Trumps family was threatened, or the CIA, and Isreal feel it is too important to be able to keep using this as blackmail material for whatever their agenda is. Do you think Trump wants to see one of his kids and grandkids killed in a car accident, or airplane crash? Trump doesn't have his own private army of killers like some other powerful people do. The President is doing good things to help this country and its citizens, but he is going to get his own family killed if he has been warned. Wasn't that long ago he was almost killed. Another inch and that bullet would have exploded his head like a watermelon on live tv. Only so much Trump can do, and he has already done alot. By next year this time this countries economy will be on fire and gas will be cheaper and it will be a safer place to live just to start. People will kill to keep that list from coming out.

Barrel Vise

I thought I had pictures but I can’t find them, I use a viper on my 1.2 and -1.25 barrels and generally go to 80lbs but I’ve also maxed out the torque wrench at 100 and it held.
The issue is factory barrel removal- but it’s gotten off the notorious howa… once I tightened the top clamp bolts down hard enough and used a big enough sledge on the action wrench.

I use a business card around the barrels. You can tell that it’s really touching the barrel tangentially in four places based on how the paper gets pressed, but it shows that same pattern in everything until you get down to the light palmas and smaller. It’s not an issue, use away.

Not sure, because “tune” means a lot of things. For me I always set things the way I like them, is that tuning? They are really easy to adjust. Mine are Pro X 2 stages. I first set my initial ( first stage) take up, I want just a bit of movement. Then I set my first stage weight ( about 3 oz) then I set my 2nd stage weight ( about 7-8oz). I then test the bolt to ensure I have adequate sear engagement and adjust that as necessary. All this takes about 10-15 minutes.
