Accuracy International Picture Thread

Smile it’s a AI in 37 XC 😉, My Bugholes barrel is shooting Bugholes.. CEB 400 Lasers, 5 shot in .508. One of the easiest cartridge bullet combos I have worked w. I’m sure it would do better but I’m rusty, it’s been over a year since I shot any of my big calibers. ES/SD is great, next step is taking my 2 best loads for validation at distance..

Airguns Beating Rimfires

Haha! I’m afraid that right now, I’m in worse shape $$ wise than Basher. At some point, I’ll probably thin out my CF rifles and get a decent PCP, but that’s not yet.
I'm needing to sell some stuff I don't use much to fund some other stuff I've been wanting but I've been blowing that off for far too long.

Recently I robbed the March 1-10 off my AR and put it on my new Western Mordax Venom semi auto pcp , which it's about perfect for, except I like that scope on my AR, so now I need to find another scope, but pretty much already blew my budget on the Venom.

From past experience when I've compromised with scopes trying to save $ instant regret usually ensues. So the two scopes I have in mind comes down to one being really cheap but it's the right size and weight, and the other being really expensive. I might have to give myself a 0% loan on the expensive one because I was just told by a dealer that next month the tariffs kick in to the tune of 18%.

GEISSELE MRGG 6.5 CREED WRITE UP AND REVIEW

I just received an email from Rooftopdefense.com and they have the geissele 20 inch mrgg on sale if anyone is in the market. Significantly cheaper than I have seen anywhere else with their labor day sale.

Use code sakamoto for 20% off. There are two available as I make this post.

Saw this. Hurts me knowing what I paid! Sol is the best!

Spotting scope question.

A lot depends on what kind of spotting you will be doing. Clarity should be pretty similar if the only difference is objective size. Light capacity will only make a difference if you are spotting in low light conditions, and the larger objective will be better. For more generalized spotting, the larger objective will have larger field of view that will help finding targets, which will be helpful if you are glassing in the field or spotting steel targets during a match. But for steel matches, I think most have gone to binoculars because they are easier on the eyes (unless you want to shell out the big bucks for the BTX), and easier to move to follow multiple targets at differing distances. The downsides to the larger objective are cost and size/weight, which can be significant if you are lugging the glass to remote places.

0 Headspace Chamber?

What is "Benchrest specs"?

Is it a cartridge you ever would like to be able to shoot factory ammo in? Do you know your dies will size enough without grinding down on them or the shell holder? I dont think I'd be satisfied with such a headspace.. especially if those two items turned into headaches.
Benchrest chamber specifications prioritize extreme accuracy through minimal and precise dimensions, with exceptionally tight, custom-designed clearances for the neck, body, and throat compared to standard production rifles.

Took me 5 seconds to copy pasta that.

Tikka T1X

Hmmm, I did just buy a new rifle but maybe I do need another .22. Are they that much more accurate? Their heavy contour barrel looks heavier than the T1X.

Accuracy is luck dependent, not sure the CZ match chamber will be better but shouldn't be any worse.

The CZ match barrels are a lot heavier, but you have to pay a lot more for a MTR or a LRP. Probably better off buying the cheapest possible model and doing a rebarrel.
