Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

This is %$#@ing hilarious because when I was pretty new on the PD, one of my buddies got a call to a massive high-speed crash in town. Van had been going 90+ in a 40 zone and had lost control and flown for something like 150 feet before snapping off a power pole and then just tumbling and coming apart. The scene was absolutely covered with bloody meat... everywhere. Buddy rolls on scene and just calls for every ambulance, rescue, everything to respond now. Sitting in the pile of meat are three dazed Somali 20-somethings. Not a scratch. But looking right off the %$#@ing Banana Boat and totally in shock. Thrown clear of the vehicle. Which looked like it went through a chipper.

The bloody meat was Halal Goat. They had bought a bunch of goats at a farm about 10 miles North. That the %$&(ing state paid to put in a Halal Butchering Room... to serve useless Somali shitwads who came here in the early 1990's. These little pirates had been driving back to Burlington in their POS van... flat out... 90+ mph. With about 5 just-butchered goats in the back. When they lost control and turned their van into a flying machine... until it wasn't.

Fucking goat everywhere. Power down for half of town. The 'lawns' of a motel and a fishing place were just torn to crap. Place was like a slaughterhouse. Because it was. Fucking Somalis didn't have a scratch on them. They went full "Flying Maroney Brothers" out of the van (no seat belts) and walked away. Not even sure they got a ticket. Fucking Oompa Loompas.

Anyhoo... that news story is fucking awesome!

Ukraine war Bullshit.

I already said it.
Martians.

That's right. And not just Nazis but very cunning Nazis, so that no one would guess that they were Nazis, they elected a Jew as president in truly independent elections.
There are synagogues operating throughout Ukraine, a Muslim by faith, a Crimean Tatar, the Minister of Defense, was also chosen for cover.
They did not even officially ban the Moscow Patriarchate of the Orthodox Church, for the same purpose.
The Martian space fleet was featured in a 1992 documentary, I forget the title.
You can Google 1992 Space Movie if you want to know more.

Help Me Pick Rangefinding Binos (2025)

That’s awesome! Being able to manage a single profile is SO much better. I recognize the Fury 5000’s are all but discontinued, but any chance they can be rolled into ABQ?
The Fury’s will be back in a few more months but with GEO Ballistics instead. In practical use it gives same results as AB. Being that Vortex owns Geo Ballistics and won’t have to pay a license fee they should be less money than the AB model Fury. I say because no one knows what will happen with tariffs

Tract Toric 4-20x50 vs Vortex Strike Eagle 3-18x44 vs Meopta Optika 6 3-18x50

I've got a Tract spotting scope and two friends have their rifle scopes. I'm a fan of their products. I would disagree with the assessment that the Meopta would dominate the Tract for glass quality. I'd compare Tract glass to something like NX8 or Razer Gen II.

The only reason I don't have a Tract rifle scope is that I mostly shoot ELR and they don't have a clean (read: non-xmas-tree) reticle.
Interesting. I've owned both NX8's and razor gen 2's, and the razors are head and shoulders better glass than an NX8. I don't think NX8 glass is very good at all, meanwhile the razors are surprisingly good. Bright and crisp. The NX8 has $1,000 glass for $2,000..

XM7 worries from the field.

Imagine 1.4 million Chinese infantry equipped like us. Their basic rifle qualification starts at 200 Meters and closes to 100.

The PLA is receiving the first of 1.4 million sets of SAPI plates this year. High-cut MICH helmets fielded in 2018-19. They're starting to get night vision.

View attachment 8687773

The birth requirement for the 6.8 cartridge was to defeat a Chinese SAPI at 600.

Each American Soldier will carry fewer rounds and magazines.

The Chinese prefer to attack at 4:1. If you are the main effort they will dog-pile at 10:1. Terrain is less important to them than destroying forces. If the attack is successful they pursue to annihilate, and stop only when ordered.

Their artillery support will target you at 5:1. They prefer 7:1.
1.4 million conscripts don't concern me unless they are on the way to America, which will never happen.

Nobody is coming to kill us. This scare tactic bullshit is why we've been sucked into every single war we've wasted American lives on since WW1. If there isn't a standing threat, we create a paper tiger so we can keep funneling money into the MIC. Don't drink the kool aid.

Rifle Scopes Swarovski Z5i+ information

I’m going to pick this up for my integrally suppressed 375 H&H. I called Swaro yesterday, & talked to a rep there. He said that the new Z5+ are the best value Swaro. He has the new 2-10 & 3.5-18.

Swarovski Z5i+ 2-10x42 - BT BRW

post a pic when you do. I have a 375 ruger, i had a schmidt and bender 1.5-8 on it, but i have been thinking about that 2-10x42 or the z8i 1.7-13. i feel like that would be a a great all around dangerous game set up. what and where are you hunting?

Hunting & Fishing Let’s start a coyote thread.

Is how far the call is away important? I’ve tried all different distances
It's not about how far away it is, it's about where that routes them. If they can stand in a woodline 300y away and see the call, that's probably as far as they are going, and you'll never see them. As soon as they see you swat that mosquito, they are gone and you think you've made a dead stand. Call placement is an artform in the daytime.

Silencer Central, if true Phuck them!

Have you seen the inside of a modern Silencer Central product? My silencers are simple cans with baffles that fall right out. Like a flashlight full of little metal funnels. I can't do the pretty decorations on the outsides, and I can't make anything as finely finished as factory silencers, but on the other hand, I am not a Chinese Silencer Central competitor who has 5 decades of CNC experience and plenty of capital. This is not a hard project for a pro. No machinist ever says, "I got fired from Silencer Central, so I had to go work for Lockheed." All the machining on these things probably takes less than 15 minutes per unit.

Are you a machinist? Amateur machinists cut titanium all the time, and I would think any machinist would know that, so I am surprised by your question. By a funny coincidence, I have machined Inconel. Just one piece. Can't recall what I did with it. I've made a few doodads from other types of stainless. No problems.

Personally, I have never bought metal by the pound. That's how scrap is sold. New metal suppliers sell shapes and materials cut to length. Nobody says, "I want to make a shaft extension for a motor, so I guess I'll take three pounds." I've always told dealers to cut this or that length. I give them lists. I've never seen a scale at a retail dealer's business. Just band saws.

It seems odd that you mentioned weight. Maybe you know something I don't. Maybe Silencer Central buys so much titanium, they weigh it on truck scales.

I'll assume your prices are right, but I'll also assume that a big manufacturer would get good prices on big orders. So $10 per pound, which justifies a $1500 bill? Assuming lots of waste, it adds up to maybe $50 for my biggest can. I'm not sure how this supports $1000+ suppressor costs. I doubt 90% of the metal is wasted, since titanium comes in tubing form. Are you saying a silencer manufacturer would buy bar stock, drill it lengthwise, and then bore it to size? I find that hard to believe. That would be a colossal pain. The added time and the cost of the associated tooling and consumables would be problems a manufacturer would look to avoid.

As for baffles, you would lose a lot, but I don't think it would be 90%. I'll bet it's a little lower. Chuck a bar. Cut funnel from it. Part off. Rechuck bar. Cut another funnel from it. I suppose you would have to drill baffles because no supplier is going to give you a fat bar with a 0.35" bore in it, but I don't know. A 0.35" bore is a lot easier to create than a 1" bore that holds baffles.

A nice pistol is much harder to make than a silencer, and you can get great examples for $600.

My .22 silencer cost me over $700. It weighs 4.3 ounces.

I should have looked more closely at the French site, but those prices are still great by US standards, and they probably include the French 20% VAT.
I make turbine jet engines for a living where raw material goes in 1 end and finished engines go out the other. Specifically I work on the hot side of the engine. Rotating parts from orange area back is what I have worked on the last 9 years. 85%+ of what I work with is inconel 718 or 909 with 15-5 next and Mar M 247 after that. Have also done hastelloy x, 420ss, 440c, 17-4, s7, nitronic 40, udimet. Mostly run grinders now but many years experience on lathes.

Previously used to make specialty bolts and a few other machining jobs. Inconel 625, astm a453 grade 660 (essentially a286), 300 series stainless, 400 series, brass, invar 36, ferallium 255, cast iron, ductile iron, graphite, 4140, 8620, 6061 aluminum, mangalloy, delrin, and teflon.

Zero press Gen2

I've actually never primed on a single stage press and wouldnt on my zero gen1 even if i could. I do on my 550 but otherwise I now use the ugly primer. I thought priming on press went out several years back when the bench primers and all got more popular and then completely died out when cps and the ugly primer came out?
Not for me. Large rifle is primed on an automated 750, small rifle on an automated 1050.

The consistency of primer depth in each of those machines is plenty good enough to be in the range where some slight variations don’t affect anything. That’s what I understand of the smart people doing statistical analysis on primer crush.

The CPS is still great and very precise, it’s just not as efficient as an auto drive on the dillon machines.

DeLane Development Group Rimfire Ventures

The CZ 457 ecosphere is also really popular. Reliable and available mags, highly accurate MTR barrels, short bolt throw, and sensible cost make them a really common choice, and many chassis makers support them as well. Vudoo and CZ take up the lion's share of the firing line at most of the NRL22 / PRS22 matches I see these days.
I was taking for granted magazines would be AICS pattern, in which case Tikka makes the most sense.

But yes, if straying from AICS, CZ mags make a lot of sense.

Matthew 1:18-25

King James Version

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is,
God with us.
Dude the text does not say that AT ALL! No where in that verse or in Luke does it say Father. Nowhere in either text does it say the Holy Spirit is the Father. What you are doing is reading your theological position into the text, you are eisegeting. Reading your theological position into the text is distorting it. The plain reading, especially in Luke, is the Holy Spirit conceived Jesus. Try this, read every passage I posted and try to just let the text say what it says, do not read your position into it. That is called exegesis and that is how you are supposed to read the Bible.
No need to respond to the rest of your Dream... ...The BIBLE Says the Holy ghost is the Father

Again WHERE does it say that. That verse does not say that.

You won’t address the other points because you have no defense for your position, other than to read your view into it. If you just read the text at face value, you would see you are incorrect.

This is why you have been accused multiple times of just going around in circles. You are committing the fallacy of circular reasoning. Every textual interpretation you have mentioned is based on your theology and not on the text. It’s like an atheist. You bring them all the evidences for God and they continue to say there is no God. When asked why they say that, they say it’s because God doesn’t exist. The reason for denying the evidence can’t just be your presupposed belief. That is not considering the evidence and letting it lead to the truth.

Or it’s like people who don’t believe in miracles. You bring them evidence of miracles. They continue to say those aren’t miracles. When asked for their reason they say it’s because miracles don’t happen. Do you see the error in that thinking?

It’s like this:

Your Claim: The Holy Spirit is the Father

My Response: How do you know that?

Your Claim: Matthew 1:23 says so

My Response: The text doesn’t say that, why do you think the text says that?

Your Rational: Because it says the Holy Spirit conceived and the Spirit is the Father.

This is the definition of circular reasoning! It’s the equivalent of two year olds saying back and forth “I know you are but what am I”.

House Budget Proposal to remove Tax on Suppressors but not remove it from the NFA

This is not a win. This is being patronized. They literally have the opertunity and power to do exactly what they say they want to do but they refuse. Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining. Don't give me this, oh it's a little better shit. Just like, "we're big bad repbulicans and if you put us in power we gonna repeal obamamcare. ""well we got rid of the individual mandate." Same shit smeared on a diffrent cookie.
I’m betting you take blood pressure meds.

You’re getting all bent out of shape over politicians and the games they play. Vote for the lesser of two evils and don’t be surprised when they inevitably disappoint you in some way. I guess we can disagree on how we want to see things. Good luck in your endeavors.
