Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

I love snakes really. With my almost 6 year old GS here though I won’t tolerate any venomous models.

We used to have a 6’ Black Racer here we called Slim. He was very docile and did the characteristic “head up” moving like a cobra. I picked him up many times to put him out of harms way. Haven’t seen him this summer though.

We have a 4’ Racer around now we call Slim Shady though 😆

Killed one Copperhead here 5 years ago and haven’t seen another.

Saw one Scarlet Kingsnake about 2 years ago, they are very rare to see because they are nocturnal.

I would have let this Copperhead go but he bit my dog Jack and I was pretty upset. Jack lived but the snake was the victim of a farming accident 🫣

We've had many dogs over the years come home with snake bites, never saw any of them bleed like that. That's wild.

We were clearing some property one summer to build a fence between us and the neighbors. I don't know what the deal was, but we were seeing more copperheads that summer than I'd seen in my life.

We had a miniature black&tan dachshund that was a bad motor scooter (scooter was her name) and she just couldn't help herself. She got popped at least once a week for a month.

She'd come slow walking by on her way back to the house, already swelling up. She'd lay up in her bed and sleep it off and she'd be ready to roll again the next day. That was one tough dog. Had an attitude of a dog 10x her size.

Nice. WM or WSM ? Gives me hope for my barrel life. I don't shoot crazy long strings of fire, and I keep it fairly clean. Probably every 100-150 rounds I'll use boretech to clean it. Just over 700 rounds on mine in about two years. Just joined a 1000 yard range, so it'll probably be seeing more action in the near future.

Really cool early US Optics catalog/reference Something we probably should sticky!

Was just thinking of this company and how when I first found them back in the day, I SWORE they made custom stuff like different colors, and a choice of aluminum, Ti or steel tubes. Was I remembering that right?

Ya you could ask about anything and they would build, or at least put some thought for a Yes or No answer .
Like one of the SN3, 3.8-22 x44, ERGO, in pic. above, has / EREK Elev. knob / L-side wind knob / R-side green Illum. / Internal bubble level . The EREK Elev. is pretty nice with the .308, you can get to 1-K with less than 2 revolution turning . I don't know if still do, but they also had a 'Blue' color Ret. illum. that was Really nice put in front of a clip-on NV.
I still got several of their old decals they used to sendout with scopes.

Vortex Razor LHT

I don't "see" the IQ in my LHT 5-22 as anything special, heck the IQ in my Athlon ETR 15-60 BR scope is noticeably better. Well to be fair this ETR actually does have nice glass for it's price.
The poorly done LHT turrets shouldn't be in a scope of this price range and 6 mils per turn is such a head scratcher. I didn't even notice that was a thing until after the scope arrived and yes I research things more critically now.
The illume is almost daylight bright but it really should be a notch or two brighter to make out the reticle on low power, speaking of which the mil reticle isn't an impressive design anyway.
The rest is of the controls are normal.
Except it's pretty much the lightest scope in it's class which is why I bought mine and to be honest it's my least favorite scope on my least favorite light weight rifle. Translation - nope they don't get used much.
At least I got it at a decent price new from Liberty Optics right before Scott flew the coop.
I hate losing money so I'm kinda stuck with them at this point. Let's put it this way, I'd sell the scope first before I sold the rifle and the rifle has had a rough time in it's short existence.

I could have bought the March 4.5-28 instead at double the cost, thought saving the $ was the best decision at the time, but really wish I had gotten the March.
The designation Razor wasn't the best label to put on the LHT, at least to me.
I played with one at my LGS recently. Reminded me of my Diamondback Tactical.
