We just set a record!

I think... some might need to dust off their passports and visit a few third-world countries before they attempt to influence others with an opinion based upon speculation as well as how many Little Debbie cupcakes they've consumed that day.

It ain't all sunshine and rainbows is the quote IIRC. There are an extraordinarily large number of countries where one group of people believe it okay to rape, plunder, and kill another group for sport... the more heinous the fashion in which those acts are committed, the better.

So where do we intervene? If I were smart enough to construct a perfect opinion/plan on that, I'd run for office. At this point, you can't avoid it and be an ostrich with your head in the sand. It is far, far too gone for that. Those groups will find a way to hurt you... even if it means secondary mass immigration, economic collapse, and civil unrest in this country. Europe's violent crime rate among immigrants is a pretty good starting point for a baseline.

^ The hostile dudes won't stay in their country. You can't give them 'freedom from western oppression' and cause them to stay at home. They are as economically inept as they are morally depraved. They'll just spread like pests as the resources are consumed. Either directly or secondary again.

Before the modern era along with subsequent foreign aid...food and water were their limiting factors. I often wonder how much better we might have been to let them starve down/out decades ago. Yes, millions more would have died, and Sally Struthers wouldn't have been able to cry on late night TV commercials. But all we did was 1) Kick the can, because when it eventually turns into mass starvation (and it will) the number dying will be tenfold. And 2) We increased the army of locusts that are going to be seeking refuge in your hometown.

"If you feed them, they will f@ck, and there will be 10 more mouths to feed".

So we can either continue to let the most vile of the depraved grow without doing anything. Or, we can drop a few warheads on foreheads in an attempt to slow their leadership growth, economic mismanagement, and subsequent refugee flood. Regardless, it is something large and menacing that will never stop...

I'm off to enjoy a Little Debbie cupcake now.

Banking 101

So I decided funds were getting low and needed more reloading supplies.

Sad realization that I had to get out of the house and do some banking.

I hit up several banks for an unsecured "loan" and every thing went well,
no harm no foul till I got home.

I decided to unpack and sort out the "loans" from their bags.
I'm not sure what's become of our society these days, the nerve of some people.
Some smart ass tossed a die pack in with my "loans", really not funny at all.

Does anyone know how to get this off skin or paper?
I'm missing out on some important sales till I get this sorted out.
Have your attorney contact the bank and inform them of their malfeasance and your hourly rate for being stained/disfigured.

Anyone thinking of moving from their blue state to a more Free Red state?

Moved to Florida from Colorado just over a year ago. It was fairly easy since my wife was born and raised in Florida and all her family is here. Our son moved to Florida about 1.5 years prior to us. The hardest part was leaving our granddaughter and my parents behind. Plane tickets are cheap though. No ragrats and life is much better here for myriad reasons. Colorado is an amazing place but the city centers are shit holes and not getting better. The politics are literally insane. But it's been in the plan for years even before Colorfornina went schizophrenic.

I shot an AI today, and I liked it

Don’t feel bad… most shooters are the weak link. Machines are very repeatable. Especially precision-built ones.

Humans are bags of quivering organs, breathing and heartbeat variations, muscle twitches, brain anomalies, imperfect vision, and myriad other chemical and “biomechanical” glitches… while even a mid-priced production gun is remarkably repeatable. If you take out the human weak links.

I am betting that not 2 percent of shooters can out shoot an AI, TacOps or TRG. Not to mention quite a few other tier-one rifles.

Sirhr

Well stated.

Regarding what I put in bold: I bet it is far less than that even. You're talking true mechanical accuracy. Almost everything we do influences accuracy like you mentioned above, and most of that influence isn't positive.

I've owned rifles that were 1/3 the cost of my current "nice" ones, yet they shot just as well on the range. However, at this point I WANT and can afford to put a few more dollars towards something that gives me more aesthetical pleasure to own and shoot.

That, and the delta between a mediocre and excellent example of a high-end rifle from a gunsmith or tier 1 factory is nearly non-existent. Those < $1,500 factory rigs have some pretty wide disparity in their examples from one day/month/year to the next.

If one wants an AI, like I did, and they can afford it... I think it is an excellent investment into fun (maybe not resale). If one thinks that they'll become a better marksman because they have a _____ - made rifle... I have bad news, and it involves a story about an Indian and an arrow.
