On the first two rifles brought in the one gun had like 200 rounds thru it. Including after the initial rework by the shop and still didn't shoot. The other gun had 100 rounds on it and didn't shoot. It got fixed supposedly but the PD basically had no confidence in the rifles anymore and didn't get shot any further. Gun #2 the officer of that gun had to leave in like 2-3 weeks for training and needed the gun. So we pretty much dropped what were doing to work on those rifles and test them so the guy had something to use.

After they got the the first two guns back they sent me a pic of a target from #2 gun with the first rounds down range and the guy shoots like a 1/3moa group and sent me a text saying THANKS!

PD actually told me they were getting ready to put a suit in to get some of the money back but the shop is ordering them suppressors at n/c to make up for it. Still didn't fix the guns though. The small detent in the receiver ( I know I took a pic of it but can't find it right now) wasn't horrible but it was there. We cleaned the receiver face up to make sure no issues with that. This was the gun that shot 4moa as well. Box ammo and handloads after we went thru it shot .5 with box Hornady ammo and .4xx" with handloads I whipped together for testing with 175SMK's.

Look at our world. 90% of us mostly just want to do do our work, enjoy our lives, and be left alone. Its a small percentage that fuck it up for everybody. Capitalism is just one system, its whats inside men that wreck it. Yes, capitalism give an individual the opportunity to success, where we fail is in forgoing 'eternal vigilance' to see that others arent taking advantage of everyone. Then there's the .0001% who control the 10%.

Kind of like a gun. Doesnt matter which type of gun you've got, there are really only two options. Use it with wisdom to provide food and or entertainment, or use it to harm others for personal gain or satisfaction. Its not the gun, nor type of gun, its all on the indivdual controling it.

Where do we draw the line? Anything can be abused and taken advantage of, nothing is perfect and never will be! What is "good enough"?

I think these are some of the questions our society needs to figure out.

Ps. The reason that America didn’t have a significant standing army, heading into World War II was a tradition all the way back to the revolution that a standing army is a threat to a republic. And never forget that MacArthur and Patton fired on veterans making up the bonus March army. They were ordered too.

Yes, for those weak of mind and heart they can be corrupted and follow the herd. For the others? Depends on their motivations, what would you sacrifice for your family? I saw what happens when a family is kidnapped and threatened with death and the family member is told to make the sacrifice aka suicide bombing on a specific target or his family will be tortured and murdered. That Iraqi Police Major strapped the suicide vest on, went into the compound and into an uninhabited section of the compound and blew himself up hoping that his family would survive and nobody else but him would die. I always said we see the best and worst in conflict and that day we saw the tragic best as a man sacrificed himself to try and save his family.

It's a crazy world! One day someone can make sense of it.

How could anybody in their right mind allow something that looks like that or shoots like that out of their shop? ! ! It's bad enough that they would allow ANY rifle out of there like that but sending out WORK guns like that. . . . . somebody needs their nuts cut off.

And if that agency had 7 rifles built, they are not a small agency! Milwaukee PD or whoever accepted those rifles must have a clueless person running their show. I cringe at the thought of that team leader actually issuing the rifles to his PMOs. If I was the Crisis Management coordinator, I would threaten to replace the TL due to questionable judgement.

To heck with Get out of Jail Free card. Tell them you want to go to their pursuit track and practice Pit maneuvers all day and after tearing their cars up be sure to insist on Tasing somebody before you go home!

Is N150 a throat torcher??

I haven't run N150 for 6.5 but have been running it in my current .223 barrel (26" HH with a .223 chamber). Was running 24.7gr with 75gr BTHPs seated at AR mag length (for commonality with my gas guns) in shitty FC brass for a few k rounds, gave me 2950ish. Recently stepped down to 23.9 because my latest SPR-ish rig (tightish .223 chamber) was hitting pressure at that charge. 23.9 in the 26" gives me 2880, I believe. Barrel is over 5000 rounds and still hammers. I can't recall if this is my 4th or 5th .223 barrel but I've always found they open up at 7600 rnds. Go from consistent 1/2 or sub-1/2 moa 5rnd groups to 4 rnds touching and one "flyer" that consistently opens things up to about 1 moa. This has been with everything from Varget to 8208 and N140. Guess we'll see how this barrel does with N150.

Anecdotally I had 2x 6.5 Creed barrels last a bit less long than expected with N160. Had an 18" start opening up at 2300rnds and a 24" at 2600 (both going from 1/2 moa guns to closer to 1 moa). This was with 140 ELDMs seated at 2.200" BTO over 42.5gr N160 in Hornady cases. In both those cases that's close enough to the 3k rounds I was expecting to be within the variance of individual barrels, I guess. I've got a new 18" and 26" (replacement for the 24") now so we'll see if they last the same or longer (with the same load that shoots just as well in the new barrels as old).

My first days in Alaska as an adult, 31 years old, fresh outta college with a math degree and a teaching certificate (provisional for a year) were spent fishing in very rural Alaska. Bush. I had the school maintenance guys leave my house windows boarded up so I could turn off the lights and have it be dark. I was about 45 miles north of the Arctic Circle.

I went out fishing about 0700, slung my pistol gripped 870 (no Casull yet), some lures, food and water and a water filter in a small pack, rod and reel a hair small for the task. I walked up river a ways. Turned into about 5 miles. Folks were riding by on 4 wheelers, boats coming and going some. Everyone was friendly, smiling, waving...occasionally slowing down to chat as I walked. Nobody offered a ride and nobody offered advice. I hadn't asked. My kind of place.

I caught salmon first cast. Put it on my 550 cord stringer. Second cast, even nicer fish. String that one up. 3rd cast...fuck...I turned the first 2 loose and caught fish until my thumbs and fingers were bleeding from getting hooks out. It was not fishing at all, it was catching! I lost a few and didn't get strikes on every single cast but those were real rare.

At some point, I realized I had not heard a 4 wheeler in a long time, same for boats. I dug my watch out of my pocket, 0300!! So, I caught 2 more to keep, gutted them into the river and headed home. It was close to 0600 by the time I was back in town.

One house had windows in the corner. I could see some old folks (elders) awake and having coffee watching out those windows from their table. I thought to myself, those old folks are saying..."Look at that dumb naluaġmi. (sort of derogatory for white man...roughly "dog face"... the first whites they had encountered were bearded) He doesn't even know what time it is." I got to know them later, I was right.

Beautiful, I bet the fish were delicious, but I dont know how folks live up there. I had a friend RIP who worked in Utiquiavik the northern most town in Ak. and just loved it. I'd be miserable, couldnt take the cold, and worse no sun for months.
