The Shot You’ll Never Forget Giveaway - Enter To Win A Barrel From Rifle Barrel Blanks!

I went on a hunting trip with a client to Del Rio, TX, a property that had exotic game animals but that had lain dormant and not hunted for several years as the owner had passed. The property had an over abundance of Mouflan sheep, we would drive the mesas and use optics and see flocks of them, but they were savvy to anyone getting closer than 800 yards. We decided the only way to get to them was by walking into the vale’s between the mesas - this country has mostly shale rock, so what looks solid and sloped wasn’t - it was a slippery slope indeed! At the bottom of the mesa was a couple of locations where shooters setup for what was quite a long poke - 500 to 1000 yds. You could see old corroded brass in quantity. We decided to forage into the scrub a ways but the flocks would just start moving up to the top of the opposing mesa - smart! Unfortunately for them, a Tikka 25-06 could do 400-500 with the right hold - I setup on shooting sticks and tried to calm down from our mad scramble. My friend called out position as I got my scope reticle up the hill… they sure did look small at 10x. The last two rams were moving their flock onto the top of the mesa, almost quartering away and at an angle going upwards. When my shot broke, I think we were both surprised at how fast I’d taken it - it was the only way to take one. I was very pleased to see a heart / lung shot that would have been DRT… but for the slope - he tumbled 100 yards down the shale and into the cedar scrub. How we got him out is another story! One of my fondest memories of hunting ever.

Mike, I’ve noticed so many mag issues are from the variances in chassis tolerances. My match Vudoo hasn’t changed but once I settled on a Foundation with the Vudoo BM early last year I've never had an issue again.

I think somehow eliminating that tolerance would be a huge help. Something like the CZ where the mag fits into the action regardless of chassis. Easier said than done but that lockup feeds excellent.

Your own BM or a sleeve that drops into the AICS chassis with a slightly smaller mag perhaps?

It’s a shame Vudoo’s BM isn’t a standard Badger inlet because that locks in their mags like nothing else and nothing to come loose during a match.
Great info, Dude, and you hit every key point that I have in the project ORD.

I'm doing my DBM again as the original inlet along with the same DBM in what I'm calling my M5x inlet. The DDG M5x DBM will fit all M5 stocks.

I'm having to throttle back the excitement so I don't share more than I should too soon....

Ukraine war Bullshit.

Got a hunch Russia is not going to renew their subscription.
I do not think anyone in their position would think that was a good idea.
They signed on in good faith and got butt fucked for abiding by the constraints of the agreement.

A large % of their strategic assets were left static, in the open and vulnerable per the START verification guidelines. Ukes took full advantage of this low hanging fruit with the assistance and prodding of the West.

The "tell" is that no official denouncements of the attack by the EU or US are to be seen or heard. The logical conclusion is that we (the West) enabled and sanctioned the operation which produced the expected results.

How do you think Russia is going to respond?
If it were me, I would have all of my remaining strategic nuclear forces on triple security and on high alert. Since the Uke drone attack supposedly compromised a large percentage of one leg of their nuclear triad, I would want to secure and enable what remains.

Russia's ability to regenerate replacement aircraft is reported to be degraded right now. I think they will prioritize the effort but I hope the stupid cunts within the EU don't think the Russian Federation are neutered. Just like the US, Russian strategic/nuclear air assets are the least threat anyway. As long as Russia has their SSBN fleet intact, they still have plenty of teeth. Arguably, the Russian submarine forces (unlike their surface fleet) are easily Peer level adversaries.

I would guess that Russia will respond with some serious non-nuclear counter-strikes on higher value targets that they have previously kept their hands off. They are patient and unlike the US, they do not easily forget fuckery.

Precision Rifle Gear Best Leofoto tripod for NRL/PRS?

I have the Leofoto inverted, SO-322CX and the Leofoto STB-75 X. It's fine for glassing or using a spotting scope, it is terrible for shooting from. There is so much flex and wobble it just sucks to try and build a stable shooting position from. Before I got the STB-75 X I had a normal bowel with a leveling head, it was marginally more stable but the tripod still had an unreal amount of flex. I also have a traditional Leofoto 4 section tripod and it doesn't flex nearly as much, but still has some noticeable flex to it compared to an RRS.

My other tripods are RRS and they are rock solid, with a bowel/leveling head or the Anvil 30.

So, another question; given what's been available, what has worked the best for you guys? Where do you see the greater challenges related to feeding (based on how you use your rifles)?
My response may be a little weird, but it's a data point: I have zero gripes about my 10-round polymer and 15-round aluminum mags in my gen-1 V22 mounted in MPA BA Comp chassis (with adjustable mag latch).

Once the adjustable latch was in place and I learned to load the mags correctly, feeding issues disappeared. I have no had a feed malfunction in literally years, shooting ~1000-1500 rounds per year, with maybe 1/3-1/2 of that in timed events.

What works best: Follower button that lets me easily load all those slippery rounds in summer heat.

It's hard for me to conceive of a .22 I like and trust as much as mine but, Mike, if you come up with a new design, I'm in.

EDIT: regarding misfeeds if a magazine is pushed into a prop: maybe - almost certainly - my lack of problems with this is a result of just keeping the mag clear. I use a "schmedium" Game Changer attached to a gamer plate (Area 419) which helps a lot with that... also, I'm old and slower than cold molasses.

Ukraine war Bullshit.

Nur na Nur. I'm an idiot. This proves you are a Russian employee!
Hey everyone else. Did you miss the manual update version 7.3.2 from the ugpx? I think we need it to deal with these retards. They are on to us and our handlers. Army Jerry is mad at us for not following his orders. We need to like each other's posts more. It messes up their interpretation of our intentions.

Can't wait to see you all at the annual meeting at Tucker's place.
