IMR 8208 XBR AND 77gr SMK IN A GAS GUN

My 28" 219 ACE TL3 barrel has Manzella longer 0.100fb 223 chamber and its the complete opposite of what your seeing.. slinging 80smk @ 2959 and shooting in the 0.1s no pressure

24.4gr H4895

Yeah, i'm not sure what to think of it. Could have gotten a 0.218 blank but i doubt it because i waited quite a while after the order for a .219 bore supposedly because they started with only tooling for 218 22 blanks. Mine was chambered by manzella as well.

18" tube, 23.5 H4895, 77 TMK, Lapua brass, cci 450 - 2840 FPS so if I had 10" more barrel like you that means the same load should be over 3k FPS. Just builds pressure fast. Shoots fine and keeps me out of compressed loads so i'm not mad about it.

This may not be a popular opinion, but…

The conservative side of the political spectrum needs to be much more open in embracing what many would call “alternative“ lifestyles. I’m not saying we have to sell out Bible-based principles or anything like that on an individual level, of course not. What I am saying is that someone’s gender preference, sexual preference, race, political, or social identity, and anything in between — unless it’s pedophiles of course — needs to be, if not accepted, at least acknowledge and not vilified. Creating a hostile environment for people with reasonably legitimate liberal viewpoints, regardless of how we may feel about them personally, will never be the solution to showing people the overall superior merits of conservative thinking. We need to divide our thinking into three clear segments: Convictions, beliefs, and opinions. Realizing that 90% of everything we believe or think is really more opinion than hard fact or immutable principle. Somewhere in that 10% may be a hill to die on, but those are the things that we need to be careful about trotting out at random times, just to exclude people who don’t see things the way we do.

We (Conservatives) share much of the blame in all of this craziness that’s going on today. Instead of erecting a towering wall between “us and them,” we should be building bridges to the best of our ability. If they want to erect walls, that’s fine. There’s nothing we can do about it, and it’s a waste of our time to try.

I know much of this is probably wishful thinking, and likely too little, too late at this point in the game, but it’s never too late to start.

“A word fitly spoken”, and all that jazz.

Hate to tell you bud, but DQ is from Minnesota they just had a good ad campaign in Texas
No worries. Don't care.

The only reason DQ can still afford to stay open in Minnesota'stan is because of the Lone Star State holding the franchise up!

The diabetic pharmaceuticals sales $ from Texas DQs alone account for 67.2% of our national GDP.

QuickLOAD Challenges

I have used QuickLOAD successfully for many years.

I am developing loads for the Barnes 50 gr Varmint Grenade for two .223 rifles.

The first, a custom rifle with 26 inch Proof barrel, shot H335 OK, but Accurate 2520 made bug holes. I adjusted the burn rate to match the actual velocity, found an OBT load, and was done.

The second, a Blaser LRS with a 25 inch barrel, is proving a challenge. The problem is actual velocities are below what QuickLOAD predicts by over 300 fps. I have never seen such a big difference before. The Barnes recommended max load of 2520 is 29 gr. QuickLOAD predicts 90,000 psi. I haven't gone above 26.7 gr—no pressure signs. Everything shoots into one moa.

If the first rifle were showing similarly odd behavior, I would conclude QuickLOAD has the 2520 data seriously wrong, but their assumptions worked in one rifle, but not the second.

LC brass in the first. Lapua in the second.

I'm stumped and would appreciate some help.

Power trimmer vs Annealer vs Powder Scale

I use a SINCLAIR LE Wilson CASE MOUTH DEBURRING TOOL WITH HOLDER.

It fits in my Dewalt Drill that I mount in my bench vice. Or I can use it manually

SINCLAIR CASE MOUTH DEBURRING TOOL WITH HOLDER

For trimming I use a Forster Classic Case Trimmer that I've used for the last 30 years. It works and is fast enough.

Classic Case Trimmer

And for powder charging I use an RCBS Competition Powder measure, and a Frankford Arsenal Powder Trickler. I can drop, weigh and trickle as fast as most of the RCBS Chargemasters, and I don't need a soda straw to make mine work properly

I don't bother with annealing as I'm happy with the case life I get from my brass at my load levels.

And if brown stuff impacts the fan blades, having reloading stuff that doesn't need power to function is a quality that can't be duplicated.

And yes, I use a powered scale (I have several), but I always have a Ohaus 10-10 as a back-up.

Anyone know if Old Testament bibles are still available new in print? I'm not an atheist but I don't own a bible, and I'm thinking I might pick one up- just don't want any 'woke' version.

I wonder what bible the Greek Orthodox use?

I want something heavy, thick leather covers, large print format offers lots of pages- that way it could double as a weapon in case I need to beat a tied up foreign enemy with it. :ROFLMAO:
The founders Bible is what you seek. Beat them about the head with God's word, the constitution, the bill of rights, and lots of good commentary on passages that were key to our country's founding. All in one book.

I've seen a hand-threaded bbl that worked plenty good enough for the purpose. It was done with a 1/4"NPT die. A few more pipe fittings were added along with other misc materials for a tube etc. Worked very well for a .22. That was many moons ago, the guy who had it died in an unfortunate maritime accident as he was transporting his material goods across a very large expanse of uncharted waters.
