Yes, it’s a six year old thread…and I may have read it before. WTF can remember these things! lololol
It amazes me how many people advocate that bigger tubes can pass more light as if the photons entering the objective just goes down the tube in parallel. As if they never looked at easily found diagrams like below. Between concave and convex lenses, the light is focused inward or diffused outward and has zero to do w tube diameter.
I’m a rifle tech moron but I know these diagrams are published on the web.
