So Cal Ice protest.

So far the protesting appears to be confined to a few areas in downtown. Locals won't even know anything is happening unless they are traveling though the wrong part of downtown or turn on the news. The areas that are being impacted aren't residential so things won't likely get too out of control; if the protesters decided to start burning homes this would go to 11 real fast.

Local activists are trying to stop ICE raids and and the LAPD/Sheriffs are doing their best to not be involved as immigrants are politically untouchable due to LA being a sanctuary city. My local Home Depot and Lowe's usually have tons of day labor hanging outside looking for work. The minute the raids started there were no longer any day laborers anywhere.

Trigger is exactly as advertised by @bigjake83. First stage was extremely smooth with a well defined wall. Break was very crisp. I REALLY like this trigger. I’ll be grabbing another one in future for my SPR setup.

I don’t have any tool to measure actual trigger weight unfortunately so I can’t give much exacting info on that front, but it was light and felt great for my purpose on a “precision” gas gun.

Some of the illegals are so brazen that they are on social media threatening that they have guns and aren’t afraid to use then on ICE. I’m not really a fan of calling in the NG but this stuff needs to stop.

25x47 Lapua load data

The data that Blackjack published a long while back for 25x47 with the 131, Lapua brass, and Varget started at 2825fps, and went up to 2961 in a 26” tube. 36.4 to 38.8gr. Just for what it’s worth.

The attractiveness of 25x47 at lower velocities for PRS is more about recoil balanced with better ballistics, and the inherent accuracy of the case, not about standing on it as hard as possible. You can push it a lot harder than most folks choose to do…
