Congrats Pvt Laprade!

Just goes to prove it’s not the biggest dudes… it’s the mentally toughest and the smartest and the most motivated individuals who make the grade. The ones who won’t quit.

Standards? This proves once again that anyone can meet the toughest standards if they have enough heart. And no quit in them!

Night Vision BNVD L3 unfilmed white phos binos

Hi I have a set of binos I bought from Jay @Surgeon_Shooter . I bought them as a loaner/backup set and that haven't been used more then 30 minutes since I got them.
Pretty good condition is say 9/10.
They take AA.

I don't have spec sheets but I was told they were around 2400+ from and I trust him.
Priced accordingly at $7k. I bought them for 8.5.

Only trades would be for a Nox or better thermal setup. If it's new I'd even do a straight trade.

Best attempt at through the lens picture.

Check my feed back I've sold from zco's to pvs-24's here.

Thank you

Firearms Beretta 92X RDO Compact 9mm

This is probably the best factory trigger I've felt on a 92 series. I wanted a 92FS railed compact but could never find one so when they released the RDO (optics ready) model I picked one up right away. I've maybe fired 100 rounds through it. Comes with the factory box, mags, paperwork, and I added a nice set of LOK G10 grips. I've got this and a 229 so I don't need both of them as I could use the cash for other projects.

$550 shipped from my FFL to yours. If you're in Michigan I will do FTF near GR for $500 with proper paperwork.

WTB WTB Origin/Solus 6.5PRC Or 7PRC CF Prefit

Buddy got lucky and drew a great tag, trying to help him out with a build before his hunt. He is new into hunting, will be shooting factory ammo.

Looking for carbon Origin or Solus shouldered prefit in 6.5 or 7 PRC. Ideally would prefer 20 or 22 with 5/8-24 muzzle, hoping for a sub 500 round count, but open to options.

Please contact me via PM, will only deal with established members with feedback history.

People who dump kittens and puppies should be strung up….

With spring and summer here… been a rash of people dumping off unwanted litters around the area. Kittens and puppies both.

Not bothering to take them to the shelter (paperwork and fees? Don’t know if shelter charges for surrenders of litters??) and leaving them in a parking lot or by the road?? That is lower than whale shit.

On the bright side…. This little guy adopted me on Tuesday. After a bath, a couple of days of quarantine away from the other cats and a vet check… he thinks he rules the house.

Meet General “Blackjack” Pershing. He has been stuck to me like glue and eating like a cavalry horse! He loves belly rubs!!

IMG_9749.jpeg

So far Boudicca is afraid of him. General Sherman is not happy. And Pouncy the old man who has been through this before… seems to be accepting him fine. Couple of weeks, they will all be sleeping in a pile together…

Baby kittens are so cute!!!

October 2025 Topstraps Rimfire Challenge Dates/Description with Video

Well, Fall is finally here and this will be the last Topstraps Rimfire Challenge matches of the year. It will be October 10th (Friday), 11th (Saturday) and 12th (Sunday) rain or shine. Firing line is covered. The weather looks beautiful with nearly zero chance of rain and great temperatures to shoot in. This will be my timed, speed, scramble, fumbling to load magazine, Oh My God the timer is counting down event but it's no where near as bad as anyone lets on, absolutely the most fun event most have ever done and I'm betting nothing else like it anywhere in the World. COME DO IT. If you have a problem loading your magazine we can make sure someone can load it for you. Just hand it off and they'll hand it back to you ready to go. We'll do our best to accommodate everyone and enjoy this unique match. You may quickly check your zero before the match and those rounds do NOT come out of your 100 rounds in the bowl.

For my final event of the year the shoot will be my World Famous Timed Rimfire Challenge. Same rules apply as always, no Benchrest type equipment meaning no fancy adjustable rests or things like that. Bipods/Bags on front and bags or a monopod on the rear. I do allow adjustable bipods such as a Rempel for the front. Any rifle and scope can be used. This match is not favorable for the peep sight shooters since everyone has to shoot the regular racks but if you want to try, be my guest. The new to me "Modified Prone" can be used but all the other rules still will apply.

For the timed match competitors can use any 22LR rifle/pistol including a Single shot, Semi-auto, Toggle, Pump, Lever Gun or Falling Block but will be limited to one (1) 10 round max magazine of no more than 10 rounds at any one time in the gun. There will be 75 targets from 25 yards out thru 197 yards and you will be given 20 minutes to do the best you can. You will not be shooting the smaller targets on some of my racks, targets will be some of my larger ones to keep things moving and not have a shooter get hung up on a really small hard to hit target. Some stages will have their own rack for the timed event but will be easily identifiable. NO MAGAZINE LOADING ASSIST is allowed and all magazines have to be always held in their hands and not touching the bench or anything other than the shooters hands.

Shooters for the timed event will dump 100 rounds in a bowl (has to be in the bowl and witnessed), at the buzzer they can load their magazine or start shooting if a single shot. Starting at 25 yards and always shooting left to right you work your way out thru the racks. I will only call out a miss and not an impact. I'm not spotting for any misses or hits on targets other than for score, up to you to see your own shots unless you get totally lost and I'll help you back onto a target. If I don't say anything keep shooting. I will give each shooter a paper with all rack numbers and distances on it so your data can be entered before it's your turn to start. I will tell you that you can progress to the next distance but it is up to the shooter to keep track of which rack/distance and target they are shooting. If you get lost/confused I may help with rack number but not every one. Up to the shooter to keep track of where they are.

A competitor can take sighters on a larger square plate at any time they feel it's beneficial but those shots come out of their 100 rounds. The final score is calculated based on targets hit, rounds left over (if any) and also the time used to complete the match. So, you need to be accurate but shoot quickly to get as many hits as possible to get a good time or even finish the course. When the 20 minutes are done so are you, all part of the challenge. There may be plenty of squirrels, chipmunks, groundhogs and possibly a deer or bobcat may occasionally wonder across the range for added distraction but you never know when that may happen and only adds to the experience. Haven't seen a bear at a match yet but you never know.

The first time I ran this match an old Win 52-C with a 5 round magazine won with two Single Shot shooters coming in a close 2nd and 3rd. We came up with a calculation that when we tried every variable possible it always worked out the most accurate shooter with the most hits, most rounds left over and lowest time won. Was a lot of fun and a lot of different strategies that shooters tried to place higher up, some worked and some didn't but it made for letting the spectators being entertained. I will only run one competitor at a time but it'll go faster than a regular match and gives for good entertainment while watching the others shoot knowing the timer is on them.

I still have the scores from the last time I ran this match. This year the current King (Chris Kirkpatrick) will have a bounty on him. If a competitor beats his score from last year and wins the match they'll receive a $100.00 bounty/prize. Maybe this will entice those speedy, deady accurate PRS/NRL competitors to come show off their talent and dethrone the current King. The top score was witnessed by at least two other competitors with one being Derrick Warren, no one practiced on the range before the timed match or knew exactly what the targets were except me. This match will have the exact same racks as the previous match to keep everything fair and equal year to year. Last year a USA World Team member came to dethrone Chris and did do it on his second try but Chris entered right after him and kept his Crown. It's tough but can be done, just goes to show you can shoot quickly when needed with accuracy needed to hit targets at distance.

It will be Friday (10th), Saturday (11th) and Sunday (912h) of October. Starting around 8:00 if it's light enough. You really don't need to be a speed demon or have the bestest equipment, remember the old saying, Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. If an old timer like me can finish it with plenty of time left over with an old single shot it's not that difficult. It's just plain fun to watch and participate in and not another match like it anywhere in the World that I've heard of.

Address for GPS is 43985 S. 70 Rd, Belmont, OH It's right off I-70 about 30 miles East of Cambridge or 15 West of Wheeling. [email protected]

Calculation used for score.
