Can a plumber help me?

I am renovating a bathroom and moving the vanity. There used to be two vanities and I am reducing it down to one. The old vanity on the right used to not drain well and based on what I have discovered from removing the dry wall, it looks like the drain created a trap?

I am wanting to install the new vanity on the right hand side, however based on the location of the existing plumbing, the drain and water outlets will have to be slightly moved to accommodate the location of the new vanity. I do plan on having a plumber do this.

However, I am plenty confident to handle the rough in for the drain. My question is… what is my best solution to allow proper draining and no air traps based on the existing conditions? I do not want to have to remove much more drywall if I don’t have to. But if I need to to do it properly then I do not mind. Do I just need to “T” at the sink. Go up and 90 back to the vent?

Any help I appreciate. I don’t mind texting or talking on the phone. I have more pictures available.

Thanks Hide.

Rifle Scopes Can buy new Burris XTR III 3.3-18x50 for $800 (normal MSRP $1500) - pull trigger?

TL;DR - New shooter, have the opportunity to buy a new Burris XTR III 3.3-18x50 for nearly 50% off MSRP ($800, vs $1500), from a reputable retailer. I'm quite new to this sport so I wanted to check with those wiser than me before I go for it in case I'm missing anything important.

New shooter looking to set up my first rifle, I've recently been going with a friend who lets me use his gear, a 5.56 AR15 Mk12 mod-H, nightforce optic, don't know the exact model but it's a 4-16x & he said it was about $2k. I can hit a 12" steel target at 600 yards pretty reliably with that setup, haven't tried to go beyond that yet. I enjoyed it so much that I'm getting prepared to set up my own rifle, trying to get a part list established in advance of some of the bigger sales of the year. With a total budget of $2500 (with a bit of wiggle room if there's a significant step up in capabilities closer to $3k), I'm pretty heavily leaning toward the Bergara B14 HMR in 6.5 CM, for about $1100. For the optic, I had been much less certain, but today I was offered a new Burris XTR III 3.3-18x50 for $800, whereas everywhere else I look has it going for $1200 minimum. I'm very much in the camp of buy-once, cry-once, and would much rather spend a couple hundred dollars extra if it means getting significantly better performance, but this seems like an absolute steal for $800. Is there's a significantly better optic to be found in the ballpark of $1200? Or should I go for this one and get a few extra cases of ammo with the savings?

This build would be purely for recreational distance shooting up to 1000 yds, don't have much desire (nor the skill, yet) for competition shooting or hunting. Consensus on this site seems to be that 18x is sufficient for 1000 yds, if the glass is good quality. The reviews I've seen for this scope are generally quite positive, I've not seen any complaints beyond concerns with the rigidity of some of the controls, and some minor aberration at max magnification, neither of which seem bad enough to hold off on this. Burris's warranty/CS also seems to be decently well-regarded.

Does anyone have any serious issues with this scope? Or my plan in general? If so, what would you set up with $2500?

.308 win - reloading same brass for bolt action and an AR-10

I have a .308 win BA rifle and an AR-10 rifle and my questions is, because fired brass forms to the chamber, should I keep brass fired in bolt action rifle separate from AR-10 and vice versa for easier reloading?

Is anyone using the same brass for a bolt action and a gas rifle? If yes, what is your experience with reloading same brass? Do you find that you need to trim your brass more often, or something else...?

Building an MSR/PSR - The Modular Unicorn

Let me start off by saying I know exactly how difficult this endeavor is. I've seen the historical posts and people searching far and wide for everything from pins to actions. I've also had the pleasure of having several conversations with individuals who have laid out an enormous amount of detail and history.

Below is a chassis I picked up in January of this year. I've been so busy running my FFL/SOT, shooting team sniper/field matches, sponsoring the International Sniper Competition down at Ft. Benning (where I got to see the MSR first-hand by talking with the Brazilian team and discuss this with the USCG MSRT team) and preparing other competitions, that this has sat in my safe for a good while. However, the fascination with the design and the iconic look make me pull this out and admire it.
IMG_7700.jpg

I want to start this thread to consolidate information for insight into this specific chassis and what is on it. I want to understand or try to source where these parts may have come from, what era, and what else may have changed along the way. For example, this chassis is not matte but rather has a sheen to it. Likewise, it has no engravings on the magwell. However, the folding stock is a lighter version, not the standard heavy version.

I'd like to know what I'm working with with this piece, and I really haven't dissected it too much insofar as the chassis goes.

I'd love to see this thing come to life and get the time it deserves. For as much engineering and time, money, and energy it required to develop, it deserves to be used.

If you'd like to see this thing come to life and can help outline structured historical or contextual information on certain aspects, it will seriously help me build a full picture of this. I've had conversations with original RemDef employees, but it's a lot to remember verbally.

I'll make a follow-up post on this thread laying out everything I can remember and categorizing it, but I wanted to at least start the conversation off here.

Thank you in advance for helpful contributions and knowledge you can provide!

1903A4

Hello, all. New to the forum. Thanks for the add. This is a new to me 1903A4. From what I’ve found with my limited research, this is a DCM returned rifle that had a front sight installed. Everything else on it seems correct. Serial number is 4.9 and the barrel date is 12/43. I am afraid to have someone remove the front sight. I really don’t want to take a chance on messing it up. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thank you!

Car theif caught in Medina TX

And he surrenders without incident and then when he’s cuffed they shoot his eyes out with a pepper ball gun, literally shoot his eyes out at contact distance

Car theif ass hole ; if he’d have fought the street or pulled a gun or knife of even fought hard . But this looks like pure saddistic torture to me and the officer that did it is facing up 9 years after his felony assault conviction.

The thing I always struggle with , multiple people on the scene, lots of cameras - who thought this was a good idea and how did not one of them say something like “hey don’t this minor in the face at close range with a air gun while your on camera and he’s in cuffs you’re going to get us all jammed up “. Not one . Hopefully he can ruminate on this one while in Gen pop at Huntsville prison. I hear they have a decent library.

I remember when this happened and just say the update that he was indeed convicted, not even qualified immunity saved him from this one , wonder if he tortured animals like is being discussed in the other thread ?

GAP10 ShowEm Off Pics

Here is mine. Caliber is the 6mm Creedmoor. Scope up top is the Bushnell HDMR with the GAP G2 reticle sitting in the Badger mounts that is provided with the GAP10 rifle. I am using a Harris bipod with the DLOC-S from Phoenix Tactical and a monopod from Accu-Shot. The paint is cerakote and was applied by me.

I am currently shooting the 105 Hornady BTHP with AMP jackets at about 3050 fps. I haven't shot for groups much yet as I have been busy killing coyotes with it and just don't have enough ammo to justify "wasting it" on things that don't have fur on them. The few groups I have shot indicate that this will hold in the 3/8 inch size range with ease.

Add your pics to the topic.
