25 Creedmoor

“I suppose you could say I’ve come full circle, I started this game with a .25 caliber rifle, and after many many years I have a new one. I learned much with that first rifle, a Ruger M77 in 25-06, I still have it, and I dont think I’ll ever get rid of it.

My love for the 1/4 bore was cut short, by the lack of high Ballistic Coefficient bullets. There is a good assortment of 115-120 grain bullets, but many of them peeter out long before my then goal of one thousand yards. So despite claiming many of my first’s, the 25-06 went to the back of the safe.
In the defiance of time, I always had a 1/4” hole in my soul. Turns out that I wasn’t alone, and some folks with impressive math skills finally saddled the long range quarter-horse. Black Jack Bullets is a new manufacturer with a specialty in high BC 25’s.
As soon as I had spoken with Miles and Logan, I was convinced that my old love of the 25 needed to be rekindled. I almost immediately started Operation Quarter Lord, my goal; a .257 rifle that I could build light, and haul all over these Rocky Mountains to take antelope, deer, and even elk.”

Sidearms & Scatterguns Anyone own a Korth?

Anyone own a Korth or few, ideally that shoots it a good bit? Or at least been around some with high round counts? How have they held up?

I’m thinking about buying an NXR 6” and curious about long term reliability. I see people mention their reliability but never mention round count and they usually look like museum pieces.

Families In Need - Lost Everything

First off, if this is not allowed, I truly do apologize. I don't even know if this would be the correct place to ask this if it is allowed. On May 16th, a EF3/4 tornado ripped through the small Kentucky town I call home, which is London / Laurel County. The death toll right now stands at 23 with rescue efforts still going on. Over 1500 homes where damaged or destroyed. Two of the families I personally know lost everything they had. These are both young couples just starting their lives together. All they came away with was the shirts on their backs and what they were able to save is more than likely ruined or unusable. But the most important thing is they are alive. One member in each of these families are school teachers who work to guide kids on the right path every day and they are also athletic coaches, helping kids even more.

I can 100 percent for certain say the people I have met and became friends with in the shooting community are second to none when it comes to top notch individuals willing to help one another. So with that, I am posting this in an effort to help these two families rebuild and continue their lives together. I have already donated to both of them and am still trying to do more. It is not uncommon for many of us to shell out thousands of dollars for rifles, optics and the components to make them go bang each and every day without thinking about it. And I am not on here asking for anyone to donate thousands of dollars. I'm just asking as a community, if you could find it in you to try and help these two couples with anything no matter how big or how small, it would go a long way in helping them get back on their feet. Again, the reason I am reaching out to the shooting community is because I know first hand the kind of good people that is contains.

Below I have posted some images from another family member highlighting what they went through along with their Venmo account information. Anything you are willing to give if you choose to do so will be a blessing to each one of them. If you decide to give, PLEASE BEWARE, the scammers have already put their plans in motion by creating fake Venmo accounts using the same images of these people. The legit Venmo accounts are shown in the images. If the Venmo account is not the one shown in any of these images, it is a scammer who I'd love to get my &*&$^% hands on.

Again, if your willing to help these young kids start over, that is great. If not, please pray for them and our town as we are in the path for another round of possible tornados later this evening. Thank you for your time.

UPDATE: THESE VENMO ACCOUNTS ARE TWO DIFFERENT COUPLES. JD AND AMERAH TAYLOR ARE ONE COUPLE WHILE JOSH SMITH AND HIS WIFE ARE THE OTHER. ANY DONATIONS CAN GO TO EITHER JD & AMERAH OR IT CAN GO TO JOSH AND HIS WIFE. YOU CAN CHOOSE WHICH ONE IF ANYONE DECIDES TO DONATE. WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU COULD DONATE TO BOTH EQUALLY BUT WHATEVER YOU DECIDE IT WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks again.

Optics RELISTED Swarovski ATX/STX 65mm objective $699

RELISTED here for $699 (FIRM!) because some douchenozzle on ebay won my 10-day auction then cancelled the order. So I'm giving it a try here again before I go back to ebay

Got this from Midway just 2 weeks ago. Used on one hunting trip last week. Perfect condition. Photos forthcoming, it's still in my hunting buddy's backpack. (I decided I want to get a dedicated straight scope for hunting.) This is for the OBJECTIVE only.

I need a 18” 5.56 barrel for a new build. I would prefer to have a cut rifle barrel but I am willing to consider something buttoned. What’s the consensus when it comes to accuracy?
