Which action has highest barrel availability?

Hey all,

Been thinking about it for a while now. Maybe I should upgrade and get a better rifle. I have many, but the one I'm thinking about replacing is my howa in 6.5 CM. It's a prs style rifle and has served me well but every now and then, I get that itch about trying something better.

My 3 top contenders, in no order, are a t3x, a seekins hit, or an origin/nucleus.

I've heard seekins makes a very fine rifle and has some of the best customer service. I also really really like the rifle as it looks.

Tikka would certainly be an upgrade from my howa I believe. While shitty customer service, you can sometimes snag really good deals here so it might be worth it if there is really good deal to be had.

Origin or nucleus are absolute certain upgrades. Not really looking to spend on the higher end customs but these seem like good options.

All in all, I would prefer an action that barrels are easy to find for it. I'm not sure where that leaves the seekins, or what type of barrels it takes. I've seen many barrels for tikkas here on the PX so that tells me they're pretty common for the tikka. I've even found some pretty good deals that I've almost bought a barrel before just in case I ever got a tikka. Origin and Nucleus seem to be popular actions but I'm unaware of how easy it is source barrels for those. I think I've seen more aftermarket barrels for tikka here than for these two customs. Any thoughts?

Who is using a Bix and Andy in a Vudoo?

I have been using TT Diamond 2 stages in all of my rifles now for awhile. I just had a TT stop working correctly in a Vudoo and after talking to my gunsmith briefly on the phone he recommended I try something different. I had no idea I was possibly leaving accuracy on the table with my trigger choice. He spoke highly of the Bix. I want to try one of their 2 stage triggers. Who has ran one and what sear did you use? Did you test any other sears? This will be on a Vudoo 360 to be clear and definitely will be a 2 stage.... Join me as I travel further down the rabbit hole lol

New Rifle Inbound: Barrett MRAD

After a year saving up, I’ve got a new rifle on the way: Barrett MRAD in 6.5 Creedmoor. This is gonna be my first nice precision rifle (I used to have a RPR) . I need to buy glass for it and cool guy YouTubers are convincing me to get a scope in Mils vs. the MOA I’m used to (I understand there will be a learning curve) I’m considering a Night Force 7-35X ATACR w/ Tremor 3 reticle. Are there any other optics I should I be considering? I’m willing to buy once/ cry once. Currently I can shoot out to 850, with plans to find a farther range area. I plan to add the 300 Norma barrel down the line. Thanks guys.

Weight Preference for MDT Elite Chassis

I have an MDT Elite chassis and the Gray Ops external weight kit (2.5 lbs.) MDT also offers an under barrel/inside the chassis fore end weight that is approximately 2.5 lbs. I was thinking that weight below the barrel might be advantageous because of a lower center of gravity which might help the rifle settle into a bag better. Any one tried both and have an opinion?
