Stock is in great shape. Hardly ever used. Is not bedded. Comes with manners recoil lug.

Two flush cups on left side. Barrel channel is 1” at 10” from the recoil lug (front of stock)

Have a carbon six barrel in it now. Would likely fit ctr profile barrel but would need to be opened for a proof sendero or similar.

Suppressor questions with PTR Vent 1

So I'm a noobie...I'm looking at the PTR Vent 1 762 suppressor. It comes as a direct thread to the barrel. I called PTR and they said I could use a muzzle break setup as long as it doesn't protrude into the suppressor more then 1.5 inches. So I'm looking for advice on which muzzle break to use. Also. I wanna switch the suppressor from my pof 556 to my pof 308. They both have different threading. How/ can I do this? Please help lol
Thanks
Ed

35 Whelen, A great round being forgotten.

Have spoken to a few people in the last year about the cartridge not knowing what I was talking about. Yesterday I spoke to a guy my age, I’m 35, a few stalls down while doing a load work up. I mentioned I love the 35 Whelen. He had never heard of it either. I have my grandpas 35 Whelen built off a oberndorf 98 with a screwbean stock and a shilen #4. Thing is older than me I believe and shoots lights out. It’s a fantastic round that seems to have fallen to the wayside unfortunately. Do y’all think rounds like the Whelen will ever make a comeback?

Suppressors Multi-cal choices

Alrighty,
So, I have .22, and .30 covered. But, I need one that can cover 9mm (Glocks)-.44 (lever guns). Since it would probably see a fair amount of lead "cowboy" type loads, I figure it's best to go for a can that is "user serviceable". I'm looking at the Griffin Bushwacker or Obsidian. I'd really like to consider the Ecco Phoenix, but they're not available.

The Griffin is a steel tube with titanium baffles.

The Obsidian is an aluminum tube with steel baffles.

Is that pretty much a "wash"? Any preferences? Thoughts? Experiences?

Curtis took my money......7 months later still nothing.

I am sorry if this is thr wrong place to put this .

Ordered and paid for a new valor and a fire control for my current Axiom in November. Other than a couple of speratic email responses of "in a week or two" that have now been months, I have nothing.

I hate being this guy and it takes alot to get me fired up...

What are others experiencing?

SOLD WTS - Accuracy International AI AT folding thumbhole compete rifle in Pale Brown w/ 6.5CM AI Pale Brown barrel, small firing pin, excellent condition

I'm selling a safe queen, 2016 Accuracy International AI AT folding thumbhole compete rifle in Pale Brown w/ 6.5CM AI Pale Brown barrel, small firing pin, excellent condition.

$4499 $4299 shipped and insured

It has under 500 rounds on it. I'm the second owner and purchased with 180 documented rounds on it. I have 250 documented rounds (I reload), but may have fired a box or two of factory ammo through it, I can't remember.

I've always slow fired a mild load through it of 41.0gr of H4350 with Berger 140 target bullets so the barrel is barely breaking in.

I upgraded the top optic rail to be the lower version. Most medium-height scope rings will get this to a perfect height. It does not include a high rail or NV bridge.

It has a brand new AI thumbhole stock in pale brown that I literally just installed today. It also includes the standard factory grip. The folding mechanism works like a bank vault - zero slop.

Overall, it's in excellent condition with very few signs of use. The barrel cerakote has a few minor marks, the skins are in excellent shape and it has an almost new buttpad that I replaced last year. I also installed an additional factory buttstock spacer, it should fit most people nicely.

It's an absolute laser, 1/3 MOA if I do my part with 5 round groups. The only reason I'm selling is that I purchased an AXSA.

It includes the following:
  • AI AT rifle w/ 6.5 CM AI factory cerakoted Pale Brown barrel with thread protector (these are Bartlien, I believe) with under 500 rounds on the rifle and barrel
  • Installed low height Picatinny rail
  • Installed new factory AI thumbhole stock in Pale Brown
  • Take-off standard grip in Pale Brown
  • 1x AI AT 10 round magazine
  • 1x Extra buttstock spacer

I will only ship directly to your FFL and they must accept transfers from an individual. I will only accept Zelle, a bank wire, or a personal check with adequate time to clear. I'm happy to hop on a video call with a buyer. I will not ship anywhere that this rifle is not allowed or that requires special accommodations to ship. Prices are in CONUS. Please contact me for additional shipping to Alaska. This will ship fully insured with signature required to your FFL. I will pack it exceptionally well.

Firearms Sig 226 Legion SAO

This is like new. It comes with the factory case, coin, and two mags. This is the single action only model so it runs like a 2011. It has one of the best resets I’ve ever had on a Sig with the short reset trigger.

I love the gun but I’m selling it as I’m trying to purchase a house and could use the extra funds right now.

Not optic ready but you could have it done or get a pro slide for pretty cheap. 100 rounds through it at most. Never holstered.

$825 shipped (I think I paid around $1100 new). - sold pending funds

Barrel length and velocity extreme spread.

I remember years ago reading something about the effects of barrel length and its effects on velocity. I’m not looking for the effects on overall velocity increase/ decrease but specific to average velocity and extreme spread.

An example would be your shooting the same load in two different rifles one ‘Short’ and one significantly longer with a factory load. The shorter barrel should have a greater variation in the extreme spread of velocity compared to a longer barrel up to a point.

I’m just trying to find something on the specifics behind it and can’t find anything with a google search. Everything just comes up with short barrel slower, longer barrel faster….

SOLD Manners TCS, high gloss metallic GAP, mini chassis, steel ARCA rail

Sold 7/15

Up for sale is a Manners TCS for an R700 SA finished in high gloss metallic GAP camo with mini-chassis. Includes 1x butt weight, butt spacers, manners steel ARCA rail along with a full weight set for the ARCA rail. 4 flush cups (1x left front, 3x on rear – left, right, and bottom.) Also includes both standard hex key clamp hardware as well as 2x manners finger knobs for the cheek rest and butt pad KMW hardware.

Very good condition overall but a few marks in the bottom metal around the mag well from inserting and removing mags, a couple scuffs/marks on the bottom of the butt plate where it rests, and a few very light scuffs on the steel ARCA rail from bipod/tripod clamps and use on props and such which I tried to capture in the pics.

I had shortened the mag latch in the DBM to get AW mags to latch for my CDG action, but I just installed a brand new unmodified mag latch from Manners so it's good to go with standard AICS magazines in a standard R700 style action.

Asking $1350 shipped and insured. Payment via discreet Paypal F&F, Zelle, USPS MO, or check (will ship when payment clears.)

ND copypasta, the P320 version

They've happened a few times

At friends apartment at college. Just bought my first pistol from a gun show (I was 18) Drinking with friends Show them my new Sig P320 ND into celling Upstairs neighbors too high and drunk (underage and illegal drugs) to call the police.

Second time
At range Showing friend pistol Think gun is unloaded Point at ground show him how to wrack and pull the trigger. Forgot loaded mag in Shoot between his feet

Third time
At parents house. Just bought another P320 from a guy Get home Try swapping slides with another sig I had Forgot the other sig slide was chambered. Pull trigger Shoot parents wall

Fourth time
At my new house Playing with a friend's P320 Legion Release wlide Slam fires round into ground

Fifth time
Showing a friend how to use it No idea how but a round got chambered Show him how the trigger works, Pull trigger Shoots round into floor in the same place as before

Sixth time
Thought maybe the house was haunted Grab a sig Physically clear it, (racked the slide 3 times) with no magazine in pull trigger at the same hole
Round goes off

Seventh time
Friend brings over a used P320 wants me to look over it I grab it and pull the trigger without clearing it Didn't even realize the thing was loaded.

Eighth time
Friend brings over his police trade in 320 He's showing it off to me I put a loaded mag it and decided to try and release the slide Pulled the trigger for some reason a round into my wall

Overall you shouldn't feel too bad about NDs. It's part of owning guns, and you should get used to them.
