Suppressors Lmt xeno brake

I have the 4 port LMT brake with xeno mount. I was noticing that the end of the brake was shiny and the first baffle in my scythe ti was also. Investigated it and realized that it was not able to fully seat on the taper. I can either cut the brake down to a 3 port( i wouldn't think this would have any effect on accuracy) or they sell a single port, don't really want a single, but may have to.

WTB ISO: KAC M110K2/M110K3 URX Rails

Starting a clone build off of Centurion Mk11 Upper/Barrel kits, now I just need the rails to decide what I'll do (K1 or K3)

Looking for a URX4 15 (P/N: 31887-1500). Would be great if the URX4 came with a shim kit and wrench. Any color is fine, most conditions are fine.

Only interested in buying from folks with rep since these posts are scammer bait. I have some partial trades I can offer (Spuhr HRT riser, Aimpoint T2 + Cap, Reloading crap).

Please DM me with pictures and a price. I know that these are all over the place but not looking to spend more than $1200 on the URX4-15 + Shims.

Optics T2, Unity, Spuhr HRT, KAC Cap & BUIS

OMM + Longboard (not separating) on its own with Aimpoint screws for $240 SOLD

T2 and Knights Armament Co Cap $850

Spuhr HRT T2 mount 1.655 for FBI SWAT clones $250

Unity FAST Riser $80

Chinesium T2 Hydra that's more sturdy than a real hydra $30

Troy M4 Rear Flip Up Battlesight $50

KAC Flip Up BUIS set (not pictured) $200, or separate for $125 each.

No trades please. Venmo, Zelle or PP F&F no notes.

LMT .308 on the cheap? Did I screw up?

I walked away from one hell of a deal yesterday. LGS had an LMT .308 with a Vortex Viper Scope stabbed in a Warne Mount for sale for $1995.00. I am a regular customer so they offered it to me for $1800.00 plus tax OTD. Salesman told me I could make a counter offer to the boss. I could even use a credit card with no additional fee. I did some quick math in my pea brained noggin. Let's see, rifle about $2800.00, plus mount $125.00, and around $1100.00 for the scope. That's $4025.00 on the low side retail price new. Hmmm...so what's the deal with the rifle?

Guy bought the rifle then got into financial trouble. Traded the rifle to a guy for some work performed. Guy that did the work traded it in on a bow and some arrows. Less than 100 rounds through the rifle. Looks good as new. More pondering and thinking. OK I know the manager...I can probably get the rifle for $1700.00 no problem. Heck of it is, I don't really want the damn thing and I am unsure how hard it would be to flip for profit. Did I screw up?

Paul Craddock - Craddock Precision Interview

I get to geek out a bit, I am interviewing Paul Craddock today. Ever since the Valkyrie I have been fanboying window shopping Craddock Precision ARs. Since was planning a 6 ARC project, I wanted to pair that 6 ARC bolt gun with a 6 ARC gas gun to see the pipeline. What's the accuracy, what the ranges, how does it perform on command like a competition rifle ?

The Terminus Zeus in 6 ARC is here, the Zermatt Matterhorn is here, now to pair with a gas gun.

The interview Paul is a great background. We learn the history of Craddock Precision, Paul's gun building philosophy. How he approaches the AR15, AR10 which might be different from the other guys. A great example is roughly 15 different gas lengths.

I want to thank Nick for putting us together, this conversation flowed. It moved in a nice logical direction touching on the ins and outs of a gas gun.

From Valkyrie to ARC, to larger Frame ARs, we touch on it all.

As always, thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thanks for being a part of the Everyday Sniper podcast.

LPVO with FSB

I currently run a 2-10 LPVO on one of my ARs, sits on a 16 inch barrel, carbine length gas block, with a front sight post. Does not cause me any issues for what I use it for. At very low magnification, of course I pick up the FSP, but at my range I don't usually go below 4x on that gun.

Thinking of moving that upper/barrel over to a rifle that would use a red dot, and putting a mid length onto the one used with the LPVO, which would also have a front sight post.

My question is: would the difference in length of where the FSP is located on the midlength cause more or less disturbance using an LPVO? Carbine it being a bit closer to the optic, midlength being a little further away. Would the midlength cause the post to get picked up easier or other way around?

Where to get ammo now post

Well instead of having several different post, I thought I'd set up a single post with "heads up" on where to get ammo. If you see or know of a place to get premium ammo that a lot of us are always looking for, post it up here if you don't mind.

If you could put the date and where it is located in the post and any other pertinent information.

Maybe we can help each other out for a bit while the ammo crunch is still going on.

April 2025 Topstraps Longrange (Midrange) Rimfire Challenge

Spring is finally here, well maybe but it's coming. I'm going to have my Long Range (Midrange) Rimfire matches again this summer. I think this is going on the 14th or 15th year and it's amazing to see how far this longer distance 22 rimfire shooting has progressed. We used to get eye rolls and snickers when sharing with others way back about what this round is capable of. Wasn't that long ago I remember bugging Sophia on Rimfire Central for a Longrange shooting section. Now it seems to be the latest fad which is great with all the new equipment and ammo becoming available. It was rare I saw anyone clean my 197 yard rack with targets from 10" down to 1" in 1" increments and get to sigh their name up on my ceiling, now it's getting pretty common.

I've kept the same price all these years but as everyone knows everything has gone up, paint used to be 99 cents now it's $9.00+ for good paint and I paint after every two shooters. Anyway this year it will be a $20.00 donation for each entry with Juniors (16 and under) being $10.00. You may re-enter but have to get in line again and wait your turn. I will still have 15 racks of targets at varying distances from 25 yards to 197 yards and usually a bonus rack/target each match so it may take slightly over 100 rounds for each match. I allow 5 sighters during the match a competitor may use at any time they feel the need to use one. A newer/inexperienced or a shooter having problems will be given sighters as needed to help them along. I like people to hit targets and have fun during their match and not leave frustrated.

I also have three (3) classes for the shooters based on ammo cost, from my experience ammo is the main divider for accuracy over equipment. The three (3) classes of ammo will be C: $6.00/50 and under, B: Over $6.01 to $14.00 and A: Over $14.01 This may change and I don't have a complete list made up which would be hard to list each ammo but will base this on prices normally found at the online shops and not a sale item. I've sure everyone knows about where their ammo falls, also anyone with a tuner may use it but will jump you into the A class automatically. No Benchrest style front or rear rests. Bipods (even Rempel style) sandbags or an attached monopod are OK. Any scope/rifle combo is allowed but if you show up with a BR style gun shooting in C class you may get a shifty eyed sideways glance wondering what's up with this.

The reason I do this is the real competitors will buy/use whatever they need to shoot at the top, newer less experienced shooters may show up and see this stuff and feel they can't compete and you'll never see them again. I size the targets so everyone hits a lot and there are a few smaller or gamble targets that can seperate the Top Dogs. I have a couple competitors that will put their $249.00 Savage MK II using Top Level ammo against any top level gun and won't feel intimidated. I give a free entry for a future match for each class winner and if a lower class winner shoots a higher score than the upper class winner they bumped out the upper class winner from a free entry. It's been done and adds to the challenge. If a Class B shooter shoots an 85 and the A class winner shoots an 84 the Class A winner does not get the free entry.

I have a covered firing line with two (2) benches, if I have help spotting they get thru in usually well under an hour. A competitor may come any time Friday, Saturday or Sunday to compete. I would like hearing and eye protection and chamber flags in guns. I am usually ready to start at 8 AM and continue till it starts to get dark. Any help in spotting/scoring is appreciated and keeps things moving along. We do spot and tell competitors where they hit/miss the best we can but we're not perfect.

Tentative Schedule for 2025 is:

April 11th, 12th and13th.
May 9th, 10th and 11th.
June 13th, 14th and 15th.
July 11th, 12th and 13th.
August 8th, 9th and 10th.
September 12th, 13th and 14th.
October 10th, 11th and 12th.

October match is the Season Finale, it's a timed event which is my favorite match of the year. I have at least a $100 bounty on the King. If anyone can beat his score I'll hand you a crisp $100 bill and you'll be the new King. 100 rounds i a bowl, One 10 round magazine and 20 minutes max to hit all the targets from 25 yards to 197 yards. 75 targets and I do remove the smaller ones to not get shooters stalled. A calculation is used taking targets hit/left, rounds left over if any and time left if any and it comes up with a number. FUN FUN FUN

Clue me in on why GDI sucks.

Hey all,
So it is nearly new car time and I have been pondering a new-ish Subie Crosstrek (The 6MT goes away for 2024 and still on the fence about the CVT tho the MPG is impressive and I have a 600 mile a week communte). Anyways, it ticks the boxes. More room inside that a 4runner, AWD, good MPG, timing chain instead of a belt, and not boosted BUT they run GDI and I see ere'body saying GDI sucks. Honest question here... Why does it suck? A little reading suggests that the right oil (something with a low brix number (?) aka less volitiles) and a seperator inline in the PCV system might keep the gunk in the intake to a minimum so what an I missing? TIA.

Edited to add. I am not a trade in every three years guy. I keep my rides until the wheels fall off. Current rig is 12 years old, 380K on the clock, and still gets 32MPG. Why yes, it is a Toyota.
