 Long range shooting is a journey.  Little did I know, as a young Marine recruited to  Surveillance – Target Acquisition Platoon in 1986, that I would still be in this game some thirty-seven years later.  That is how some journeys are.  One doesn’t realize that a journey has been undertaken until  time passes and you find you are traveling the same path.



     The knowledge I acquired in that position was leading-edge for long range shooters of the time.  My instructors and mentors were a mix of competitive shooters and military snipers.  In those days the only shooters with any interest in ranges beyond short hunting ranges were of those two disciplines.

Bought this rifle and decided to go a different route. This is unfired and only taken out of the box. This is a brand new Marlin 1895 trapper (45-70) with the 16.1” barrel, magpul buttstock and forend. Has peep sights and scope rail (from factory). I just got my stamp back on a short little .300BO set up. I have two .223 Accurate Mags and a .223 steel MDT magazine and neither one of them feed properly. The shortened overall length of the round is causing problems.

Are there .300BO AICS magazines out there? The only other magazine I know of is the MDT polymer magazine. I would really hate to have done all of this and not be able to find a magazine that works!

-101 pieces that have been fully prepped (deprimed, tumbled, annealed, FL sized, mandrelled, cleaned again and primed (CCI 450s)), these are ready for you to load
-98 pieces that have been deprimed and tumbled, you'd still need to FL size before you can prime/load.
-1x piece that was used in an AMP Annealer, Code 0154, this piece is of course non-usable.

Im curious as to what Bipod styles and brands everyone is running on their rifle builds. I do a lot of deer hunting but have recently started getting more into the Rimfire NRL22 competitions and I am looking for a bipod that is a good all around option that gives you the best bang for your buck!

A KMW appreciation and discussion topic appears to be missing. I’ve had a few AI’s and still own a baby AX and had TRG’s. The KMW stock is so comfortable and this rifle has opened my eyes to Remington clones again.

This is a 7mm SAUM, Bat VR actioned rifle that had to be built in the U. K. so isn’t a true KMW Sentinal rifle sadly. Although it shoots lights out.
