Firearms WTS Rem SS 700 in 7 RSAUM, dies and brass

Remington SS 700 (highly desirable S prefix) in 7 RSAUM APA brake, dies and brass.

Remington TI stock painted brown. Action has been recently bedded and APA micro bastard brake installed and loctited in place.

Rifle was used as back up gun by previous owner and less than 100 rds fired. I bought it for elk hunt and then decided to go with a 6.5 PRC. Never fired a shot yet.

Trigger is factory.

Weight with Leupold scope and rings is 8 lb 3 oz. Scope and rings not for sale.

Redding dies, one FL sizer, one Neck sizer and one micrometer seater.

94 rds of once fired Norma brass. Brass resized, primer pockets reamed. Did not trim yet as not near trim lengths now. Already primed with rem 9 1/2 magnum primers. Was going to run expander mandrel thru them but not done yet. I can go either way for buyer.

Had done lot of research on loads and powders will give that to buyer.

$1550 shipped.

3D printed powder cup weight gain while curing?

So while I’m waiting for my Ingenuity Precision powder cup to get here from Oklahoma, I decided I’d try a couple of different powder cups to reduce powder bounce from my from my new IP trickler mount.

IMG_9796.jpeg

I’ve always had some powder bounce with the aluminum 419 cup and the IP trickler, even with the original mount.

IMG_3419.jpeg

But the Area 419 cup failed in a big way with the latest mount, bouncing powder everywhere. So I ordered the IP cup.

In the mean time I got an MK Machine 3D printed powder cup to try out and it was a failure, as far as powder bounce goes, too.

IMG_9825.jpeg

While I Iwas waiting for the next powder cup to get here I noticed something weird.

The MK Machine cup that weighed 245.08 grains when I got it now weighed 245.18 grains two days later. It currently weighs 245.22 as of this morning.

Way back since the ChargeMaster and later the Sartorious days, I’ve been writing my powder cup’s weight on the cup.

IMG_9826.jpeg

The Area 419 cup’s weight hasn’t changed.

Next up was this really nice Dead Drop cup I got last Saturday.

IMG_9827.jpeg

It weighed 924.56 grains when I got it.
This morning it weighs 925.66.

I realize the DD cup is a ceramic; the handle is printed.

The 419 cup’s weight has not changed.

IMG_9816.jpeg

Scale is calibrated and grounded, has a recently replaced power plug/ wall wart transformer and is connected to a line conditioner.

I have no doubt the scale is correct, because the 419 cup’s weight is a constant.

Humidity in this room is pretty consistent year round between 50-60%.

Anyone else experienced this? Do 3D prints gain weight while curing?

SOLD 26” Proof Research 6.5 CM impact in prefit

I have for sale a like new 26” proof 6.5 creedmoor barrel, comp contour, impact 737 prefit. Bought a barreled action from Altus in March because I needed the action and switched to a 6 BR for PRS so I don’t need it. Took it out of the action today and wiped the anti seeze off the threads and other than that it looks brand new! I shot 3 shots, full clean, 3 shots, full clean, 5 shots, full clean to follow proof’s break in procedure and then did a stupid thing which is shooting your buddy’s setup and deciding to change your entire plan and setup. $500 shipped OBO! save your self $150+ from my stupidity.

SOLD JP LRP-07 308 Side Charger $2500

Used JP LRP-07 with side charger and top charger.
19 inch threaded barrel in .308
17.25 inch MK III handguard
Thermal dissipator
Hogue grip
PRS stock
LMOS BCG
Standard buffer
JPGS - 8D gas block (as best ss I can tell)
JP full length arca rail.
A couple pieces of picatinny rail for handguard.
QD mount for handguard.

Rifle is fully functional. Has a few scratches, cosmetic blemishes, but overall in good to very good appearance. See pics.

Full Disclosure

Not original owner.

Rifle originally had 12 inch original style handguard and I replaced with newer style longer MK III.

I also installed full length arca rail

Barrel was not threaded when I purchased, but had a 19.5 inch custom target crown supposedly done by factory, which i did confirm with a guy at JP on phone. I removed barrel and installed a 6mm Creedmoor JP barrel which I shot about 400 rounds through. I had the 308 barrel threaded by D Wilson, removed 6mm creedmoor, re-installed the original (now threaded) barrel, took to range and function checked rifle, by shooting 5 rounds through it.

The set screw on the bottom of the gas block was stripped and drilled out. It does not affect the function of rifle as the 8 clamp screws are really what holds the gas block in place, but the rifle is priced a accordingly in case you want to replace it.

I am happy to send more pics. I am happy to send dated and time stamped pic before you send money. PLEASE PM me. DO NOT POST IN FOR SALE THREAD. I will only respond to your PM. Beware of scammers.

Can accept payment available variety of ways including Guntab.

Price is $2500 shipped and insured to lower 48.

Also have a brand new 22 inch JP Supermatch barrel in 260 Remington with bolt, firing pin, gas tube, and gas block, if buyer is interested in purchasing also. For additional $500

armanov free-float rings

ANyone else have trouble with these (Armanov locking rings for the free float toolhead)? When I lock down the locking ring I've had 2 strip and had to drill them apart. Considering I've never done this with any other locking ring either its the design or I am two left thumbs (not out of the realm of possibility). screw heads seem super super soft.

Used Horandy rings for 5+ years, no issues (along with assorted lee, etc).

JP Bolts on sale at Primary Arms

Just a heads up... please note.. the one with the FP says it is phosphated, the other says it is DLC.

I can't find the "phosphated" version on the JP webpage.... so I am "hoping" it is DLC... we will see.

Anyone here go to Kettlefoot gun club that could help me troubleshoot?

I go to Kettlefoot gun club in Bristol VA usually every weekend. I'm trying to diagnose some accuracy issues that I'm having with one of my builds and would love if someone who's a better shot than me can get behind it and see if the problem is just my skills. Also, if you have a rifle I could throw my optic on to see if it groups for you - to rule that out.

I'd greatly appreciate it and would be willing to pay you for your time.

Thanks
