$1750 This is a copy of the Colt 607 which was the forerunner of the CAR-15, Colt Commando, and XM177 carbines. The Colt 607 features the first version of the collapsible butt stock with 3 positions. This gun features the correct slick side upper AND lower, the early charging handle, a shortened pistol grip (original Vietnam era surplus grip), and flat barrel ring. This gun has the next generation XM177E2 flash hider and grenade ring. Some 607's were retro-fitted with this flash hider as the original 607 moderator was found to be unsatisfactory. The flash hider is pinned and welded to the barrel for an overall length of 16.5 inches. The barrel is 1:7 and chrome lined. Finished in my proprietary "Colt Gray" CeraKote. $2900 I am selling my 1903 Springfield 30-06 sniper rifle with Warner-Swasey telescopic scope and scope case. SA ordnance bomb marked, 8-17. Scope is functional. The glass shows lots of tiny specs, but you can see what you're aiming at and the fine crosshairs are intact. A person braver than myself might be able to open it up and restore to almost like new. The glass itself appears to be unmolested with no scratches or nicks. The rubber eye-cup is intact, but very stiff and non-pliable. Silicone rejuvenator might restore it. The leather case is in fairly good condition on the outside, fabric lining on the inside is worn. Stitching is solid with the top cover buckle intact. Bottom accessory pouch is missing the buckle. Web belt hanger is there. Maker stamped on the back, "Diamond". The rifle itself is in good working order with the expected nicks, scratches and patina. Stock is solid. Front sight hood. Shipped to your FFL, C&R eligible.

She had a her cataract / glaucoma surgery yesterday. Then we have to worry about her Macular deaeration. Yep, right at 75, my little Ms Sure Shot, has every eye issue you can have all at once.

Anyway, she wakes up this morning and checks out how her eye looks and discovers she has no real vision this morning in the eye they did surgery.

Well a couple of you have asked for a build guide for our M40a1 take off stocks. I am building an accurate clone, and learning as I go. I am by no means an expert, but I'm trying to find the right information just like many of you. I haven't seen much in the way of reviews yet, so I'm hoping someone here has tried it and can offer some feedback. The "updraft" port is an interesting take on expelling gases up while still going out. I'm curious to see how it compares to the Hellfire Match or Ace Brake.

First thing I'd like to say is no, I'm not dying or planning on harming myself. That's the first question most of my friends have asked when telling them this information. So, please don't be concerned.

I just wanted to thank everyone here for the amazing conversations and making this section of the forum an online home for many of us. You guys are truly exceptional people, and I've enjoyed hanging out with all of you! Unfortunately, I'm soon going to stop posting on the forums, and I'd like to at least give my friends here an explanation instead of just disappearing.

I've been collecting firearms for about 12+ years now, and I've also been active on the gun forums for most of this time. I recently decided to sell almost all of my collection, and spend more of my free time with my wife. Those who are close to me know about my health issues, so this will also give me some time to seek some solutions for that stuff. I've been in constant pain for many years, and it's difficult for me to do much of anything, especially when it comes to moving a bunch of guns around!

I'll still make a few posts here and there, until I'm off the forums for good. Many of you have my contact info, so we'll still be able to discuss things off-line. I'm also giving collectors I know first crack at the stuff I'm selling. Whatever doesn't get sold immediately will be posted to GunBroker and the rest will probably go to an auction house like Rock Island Auctions.

I don't want this to turn into a "for sale" thread, in violation of the forum rules. You guys can keep an eye on this forum's PX section and on GunBroker, or you can drop me a private message if there's anything in particular that you might be looking for. Just please don't post items in this thread or it will get shut down by the mods.

Once my collection is sold, that's when I'll close down my forum accounts, but I'll still be around (sparingly) for the next few weeks/months. It seems weird to just start a thread just to say that I'm leaving the forums and collecting community, but I've been told by a few close friends that I've had a positive effect on this community and that I should probably let people know what's going on. One person doesn't make a community, it takes all of us working together to make our great community. I'm just a small piece of it, nothing more, and our community will continue to thrive long after I've retired.

This is just a head's up on what I'm doing, once my collection sells, I'll make a final post on this forum. Until then, I'll make a few posts when I have time. And again, nothing bad is happening to me, I'm just selling my collection and leaving the forums. I'd like to travel more, and seek solutions for my medical issues.
