Badger Ordnance stock Inletting

Pulled out my old Badger Ordnance m2013
(serial #4) .243 a few months back and decided to give it a new life. Had my local smith spin up a 16” .308 proof carbon barrel for it as I wanted to do a dedicated suppressed .308 build. I have an older manners T6 stock for it but wanted to update it with a new lighter offering from Manners. I placed an order online for a stock and then received an email back from them saying they don’t inlet for the Badger Action anymore even though it’s still an option on their website. I called McMillan and the only stock they still cut for the Badger is an A5 which would be much heavier than what I’m looking for. Can someone like Jeff from Rivers Bend or LRI take a Blank Manners stock and inlet it for me? Hoping I can find something or make something to complete my lightweight build.

Child home alone in Kentucky shoots two armed intruders with a handgun. Both intruders fatally hit.

MANCHESTER, KENTUCKY. 02/15/2025

(Full details limited at this moment as case is still under investigation. Identity of the minor may also have been concealed to protect them.) Two armed men broke into a Manchester home with the intention of stealing more firearms when a juvenile who was home alone at the time saw them entering, retrieves a handgun and opened fire on the home invaders, fatally wounding both. The juvenile then fled the house through a bedroom window and presumably alerted a neighbor who called the police. Kentucky State Police detectives arrived on scene to find both would-be home invaders, 44 year old Roger D. Smith and 51 year old Jeffrey M. Allen, deceased on the property.

Some takeaways:

First of all, AWESOME shooting by this juvenile. They have been trained well and knew what they were doing and how to handle such a situation which would make many grown adults freeze in their tracks.

Second, if mandatory "Safe Firearms Storage" laws that are active in many Democrat cities had been in place here, the chances of this child not being able to retrieve his/her own gun and ending up being a casualty of the violent criminals is extremely high. Armed home invaders who are specifically after drugs, weapons, or drug money have a track record of being especially ruthless when confronted or spotted during their crimes.

6.5 PRC build and action

I am looking into building a 6.5 PRC and wanting to know which action is the smoothest action to use. I really enjoy a slick action. Would like to build on a Foundation stock and proof barrel. I do not have the opportunity to feel other actions due to my location. I currently have a 6mm CM on a Impact action. This build will mostly be used for prone long range target shooting and maybe a hunt or two.

Thank you all in advance

Spuhr Hardened Steel Side Clamps

Just received a new Spuhr mount and noticed the side clamps are now two piece hardened steel. I know they had issues with cracking clamps, but I'm curious what folks think about the new hardened steel ones.

Here is an example from their webshop:

Trump can fire anybody he wants, thanks to Sean Spicer.

President-elect Donald Trump is arriving at the White House armed with a legal weapon that will let him fire any of President Joe Biden’s appointees.

Thanks in part to a court fight former Trump White House spokesman Sean Spicer lost over his firing by Biden from a three-year term to the Board of Visitors to the United States Naval Academy, the incoming president will have the legal backing to dump any of Biden’s over 4,000 appointments who try to stick around.
And the best part, Spicer told Secrets, “They’ll have no one to blame but Biden himself.”

The case dates to Sept. 8, 2021, when Biden began to fire Trump allies from the visitor boards at the academies of the Navy, the Air Force, and the Army.

Spicer and others, including Russ Vought (just picked by Trump to head the Office of Management and Budget) and former Trump counselor Kellyanne Conway, were unceremoniously dumped despite several of them having time left on their three-year terms.

Spicer and Vought sued, saying that unlike White House staff or others appointed by a prior president, they couldn’t be fired because of their congressionally mandated terms.

They lost, however, when a judge essentially ruled that the president could fire any presidential appointee, whether they had terms or not. A further effort failed, too.

Spicer said that is exactly what he hoped the courts would do because he wanted to help a future Trump presidency fire Biden’s picks without having its hands tied.

“What no one ever understood was this was not about actually getting back on the board, because my term had been expired for months. It was forcing them to argue in the affirmative that they had the ultimate authority to fire anybody at any time, which they did. And the court accepted that. So the Biden administration is now on record in court, and the court agreed that the president had absolute authority to fire anyone he wants,” Spicer said in an interview.

“The whole point is now, on day one, President Trump can go in and fire everyone and say it was the Biden folks who told us that we could do this,” he said of aiding White House executives who seek to hire the loyal team that Trump wants.

I no longer shoot PRS. This is an excellent rifle done by one of the best smiths in the world. The accuracy pictured speaks for itself. That is a 10-round group, not 3-round like many of the guarantees. The action on this rifle is one of the smoothest you'll feel.

Geometry wiz kid needed.

My dual slope laser went out now I’m forced to use my single slope one in the meantime, problem is I’m working on a dual slope project. So the question is how to calculate the direction and slope needed to aim the single slope laser to accomplish a dual slope. The project has a -.5% grade on the x axis and a -.25% grade on the y. My rudimentary calculation has it aimed at 35* and a -.58% slope. Can someone please give me the correct formula for this. Thanks

Help with nightforce one piece or rings for Howa 1500

I am looking for some help and advice for my Howa 1500 heavy barrel rifle in a Hera stock. The rifle will be used for a hog/ deer / target rifle and as a trainer for better hunting marksmanship. I get a really amazing discount from nightforce so I am wanting to go with them. I can’t decide between these two mounts, I only have experience with Dnz one piece mounts when it comes to these types. I have calculated ( I did read the sticky on ring height) but I assume I will need high rings. Thoughts opinions welcome. Thank you
