If I purchased the barrel w/ pre-fit action of Tikka T3, chassis, stock, grip, and rails at outlier, is the only other piece of the puzzle the receiver and trigger and would the linked receiver/trigger work with an outlier build? Do yall know of any other places that sell tikka t3 actions?

LRC .45 cal smokeless muzzleloader. 27” barrel (I believe they use brux) with their muzzle brake. Grayboe stock, trigger is set at about 2 pounds. 125g (weight) of blackhorn 209 Will push a 300 grain Parker at 2600 fps with great accuracy. I never worked any kind of smokeless load with this. Used arrowhead ignition modules (loads into the bolt). Will come with about 50 Parker 300g black max, 20 primer modules, primer removal tool, carbon funnel, collapsible ramrod, few other goodies. I replaced the stock this year and have not shot it since (prior stock had bedding break out and I had this laying around). It would likely be beneficial to bed the stock. So I ordered a Outlier Barrel for black friday, $180 after tax and shipping, 1.25 full bull 6.5 Creed 1:7 twist. I got it for my Ruger American Predator to rebarrel cause the factory barrel heats up to fast. Well...so far not so good kind of. The factory barrel took some persuasion to get off but that's ok, but the rebarrel is where I could use some advice i guess. I headspaced it and everything fine but after its headspaced and torqued correct there is a Gap between the front of the barrel nut and the end of the barrel where the tenon begins. I contacted Outlier/Arken, same company, and they said the Gap is more cosmetic, which it is, but they also said the Gap does seem a bit to big. They also asked if I headspaced with or without the extractor/ejector installed. I told them I did it both ways and the Gap was about the same only .001 off if any. They have still not answered me back and all Arken/Outlier says is please be patient their Tech department is busy, which could be true. My theory is they chambered it correctly for 6.5 Creed but then cut the barrel and tenon threads for a long action caliber, but I'm just guessin. I guess I'll just wait and see.

I really like the idea of centerfire PRS so I just purchased a 6CM, got a decent scope, some mags and ammo. Besides that, what is considered the bare equipment to go and have fun. I don't care about ranking or whatever, just want my equipment to run and have fun. Is a Kestral really that vital in the beginning? Do I need a tripod? What about a rangefinder (sounds important so I am guessing this is needed but what is most affordable to start out with?), Bipod - I'm sure that's critical, even to start out with, right?

I have several boxes of factory ammo coming and will work up my 100 yd groups and some DOPE next week.

I apologize in advance if this is redundant but I searched here and can't find exactly what I'm asking here. And yes, I have watched about 1000 hours of YT videos to get some ideas but I still have questions and having experts on the other end of the conversation right now would be super helpful. Thanks!

Well... not "scare..." per se. All the active participants in this forum can't be all that "scared" or they wouldn't be here very long.

But let's put it this way. Which of our Fed. Govt. agencies (and their heads) do you think represents the greatest potential negative impact on gun owners? DOJ? FBI? ATF? I was watching a YouTube video by Washington Gun Law Channel owner William Kirk. He was discussing whether or not the negative response from the 2A community over the nomination of Pam Bondi is really justified. Yes, she did do all those things as FL AG ( laws, raise the age to 21, and lobby against OC). But he proffers the argument that this was what she was supposed to do in her capacity as FL AG and may not be her personal preference. It was the law of the land (via the FL legislature at the time) and she had to support it. I'm not so sure I agree, but...

What Kirk says we should be more concerned about is who becomes the Dir. of ATF. Assuming that the DOJ will let it run as autonomously as it has been previously (I guess because ATF and DOJ were "aligned" to this point, but...). So, if Brandon Herrera becomes ATF Director, will we be better off even though Pam Bondi is AG? Or, will Bondi just override him? Don't know.

I think for me, the people/agency that have the greatest negative impact on me, personally, would be those that want to impose a national law. If Bondi has that on her agenda, then she's a really bad choice. Or, if it's on the agenda of the other agencies, as well. Now I also saw "Lehto's Law" video that stated the "Institute for Justice" was able to get the DEA to suspend Civil Asset Forfeitures at the airports, etc. So that's a good thing. We'll see how that goes.

Most of us have seen some pretty horrible things and met some seriously evil people.

My wife and I walk a few miles together each day. For some reason, in the rural Deep South, many people have absolutely no natural sympathy for animals. It is shocking how often we run across dead or dying puppies and kittens dumped on the road just a mile from our house — like at least a dozen times or more per year.

We’ve rescued, conservatively, 30-40 cats and dogs that survived and 2-3 times that number we found dead, often tied inside Hefty bags or just tossed out while moving.

We were walking and spotted a large contractor garbage bag about 6-10 feet off the side of our road. As we got closer we saw the bag move, which is not uncommon. These two puppies were inside — one boy, one girl. I’m surprised they hadn’t suffocated, which means they were probably dumped a few minutes before we got there, as the bag was tied shut and there were no holes.



They were super shy and afraid at first and hid under the stairs.

I can’t help but wonder what kind of human would do something like that to such docile, innocent animals. It’s no coincidence that most twisted serial killers start by abusing animals first.

What’s that old expression about knowing a man by how he treats animals?
