I have a CMMG MK-3 308 and when I shoot it, the charging handle is popping loose when it's fired and reciprocating, sometimes hitting me in the face.

This was my fault. I reloaded some ammo that didn't get sized enough, got stuck in the chamber during a rifle match and I had to mortar the rounds out. When I did so, I suspect I didn't depress the charging handle latch enough and caused damage to the surface of the upper receiver where the latch sits.

Has anyone else had this happen with an AR? What's the fix?

The "gunsmith" in me wants to take a Dremel to it and square up the ledge and make the contact surface deeper for more engagement...

The receiver has a matching set of contact surfaces on the other side and I wonder if a company makes a charging handle with hooks on both sides. I have an image of one in my mind, but can't remember what manufacturer it might have been.

So i recently picked up a 6gt and need to work up a load for it but it’s 50degrees. My question is (using h4350) can I do the work up and when I find a node just load some and warm them up before shooting to verify no pressure issues in warmer weather? I can wrap them in a heat pad to bring the temp up to 90 degrees pretty easily. Is this a fairly safe indicator of pressure in warmer months?

Nice police trade in S&W model 64-5. Chambered in .38 Special. Finish wear but overall sound mechanically. Added some wood finger groove grips. The second pair of grips comes as well, but the grip screw is a bit too short. Full disclosure, the MagnetoSpeed has electrical tape wrapped around it. The battery box was loose out of the box when I bought it. I didnt want to drive 2+ hours to return it. So I wrapped electrical tape around it and haven't messed with it since.
