Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Friday announced a finalized agreement that will allow the Qatari Emiri Air Force to build a facility at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho.

The agreement, which Hegseth announced alongside Qatari Minister of Defense Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani at the Pentagon, will allow Qatari pilots to receive training alongside U.S. soldiers. There are no foreign military bases in the U.S., but some foreign militaries do maintain a presence for training. The Singaporean Air Force also has a presence at the Mountain Home base.

Ive got a AAC Cyclone that is direct thread and a YHM QD Titanium Phantom. 308 i sent to be converted to Hub. I am converting it to get away from YHM qd mounts which i find to negatively affect accuracy.

Im going to have 2 seekins hit pro m3 rifles. I have one right now. I use Griffin Taper mount adapters on my semi auto guns. If I go plan a I can use it as a secondary can on my semi autos and have one Seekins hit pro set up for plan A.

The main drawback I can see is it being extremely difficult to remove when hot. Is there any other drawback vs sticking with direct thread?

I prefer to rocksett my hub adapter into the can i dont like switching them out really.

I am currently using a cheap harris bipod knock off from amazon. I would like to get something much nicer. I would like to be able to cant the rifle to get it level which my current one does not allow. I have been looking at Atlas and Ckye pods. Skye pods seem so expensive.... Are they worth it? I plan on getting one that can mount to an arca rail.

I dont do PRS or any real sporting just target shooting stationary mostly prone.

Any insight would be great or if their are any obvious other options. I plan on waiting until Black Friday to try and do anything.

I am soon going to be a DTA SRS owner and know that there is a ton of information about this rifle on the hide. As you all know, once you begin the process of researching something like buying a new high end rifle you suddenly become a minor expert on the issue after all your research is done. I have done the same things on vehicles, homes, etc.

I would like to see if you guys would be interested in starting a DTA only thread where possible buyers and current owners can find information and post thing like:

This would be like the McMillan A5 picture thread, except everything DTA SRS, HTI, Covert, and Hunter related.

I know that there are a couple guys here that have some great load info and others that have built some SRS' in unique calibers. Others have done some really creative modifications and additions to these rifles. I think it would be nice to find this wealth of information all in one place instead of a bunch of random threads using the search tool.

Let me know if you think this is a good idea, if so lets get it started!

If it works, I will change the thread title to read "Official DTA SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread." Maybe if it becomes big enough it can get broken down into different threads for each rifle. Maybe one day it may even become a sticky thread, God willing and the creek don't rise. Just a thought.

Hello, so I own a thunderbeast 338 ultra RR model and I’d like to get a custom adapter made for it to accept end caps. Specifically the dead air pattern, now I know a reputable ffl that’s a silencer manufacture, more so small time and I’m having him make me an adapter for the ultra and some other adapters.
I asked about an end cap adapter and he said due to the design of it that would it be expensive. 1000$ plus because of how the brake is made, I asked if he could get the whole silencer in to measure the threads and taper but he said he wouldn’t be interested and to leave it at that. I get it, sounds like a lot of work and he’s busy just for one order.

I’m thinking if he gets 10+ orders he’d be more interested.
It would be grade 5 titanium with a wrench interface of some kind. Preferably made so that the end cap and the brake can both be on at the same time. What I mean is, you put the adapter on and leave it on and remove the brake as you want off of this adapter. So if you remove the brake, you’re still left with a flat end cap. Benefits being better performance on smaller calibers and better performance when you have the brake off and just have a flat cap.

Price wise, I’m thinking it would be 200-300 per unit. Maybe a bit more, I don’t like the idea of exposed threads so maybe also add a thread protector when the brake is off? I’d like to come back to him with a solid 10 orders, preferably 15+. If interested please send me a DM so I can get a list of people that are interested. again, only if you are 100% wanting this, no flakes I don’t want to waste the guys time.
I’ve never set up a group buy before but I’m thinking everyone will get their own invoice from the manufacturer.
