Selling a brand new takeoff 308 winchester barrel from a Seekins SP10, only shots through barrel are whatever test shots Seekins does before shipping the rifles. I am relatively well versed with firearms but was recently wondering, what is a defining parameter for a rifle being "high power"? A quick internet search said "anything with a muzzle velocity over 2000 fps". I found this to be unsatisfactory as I had some factory 50g 9mm pistol ammo with greater than 2000 fps. and velocity doesn't sound like power as much as muzzle energy would. I would definitely not consider 22lr as high power, and would definitely consider 300 win mag or 7 rem mag to be high power. But what about cartridges such as 223/556, 308, the creedmoors or even 30-30?

In about that order of interest. I've also got a couple flyers up at the clubs I shoot at but figured to throw a feeler out here as well.

I currently hunt public lands for mainly squirrels and rabbits but majority of them have the season significantly reduced from the state-wide season. Some are as short as two or three days out of 6 or 7 months.

Ideally like to find someplace within 0 to 4 hours any direction of NW (Lake/McHenry Co). I'd be hunting mostly with 20ga shotgun, .22lr, .17hmr.

If anyone has a spot or could link me up with one, I'm sure we could work something out.

Tikka built as a long action, 22” 1-7.5tw barrel, 180gr ELD-M, H1000 powder, CCI LMR, 3.117” OAL, 0.050” jump.

I saw no pressure signs on any of these loads despite loading 0.6gr over the max Sierra recommends. None were even close to a compression load, I may try a few loads with more powder.

I bought this rifle for a hunt that never materialized. The rifle has around 150 rounds on it. It was thorated for the 156gr Berber EOL. It is an absolute tact drive and shot factory Berger 156gr ammo under 1/2 MOA. No scope or rings included, rifle only.
