SOLD SOLD: 2x ARC M-Brace mounts, 34mm / 1.5 high / 0 MOA

BOTH SOLD 10/6

Have 2 mint M-Brace mounts for sale. Original boxes, instructions, and levels included.

Both are 34mm, 0 MOA, 38mm (1.5”) height.

Selling because I changed stocks and the new stocks don’t have enough cheekrest adjustment to get comfortable with the 1.5” height even with the KMW extended cheekrest columns, so I changed to 32mm / 1.26” high mounts instead.

Asking $215 each shipped and insured. Payment via discreet Paypal F&F, Zelle, USPS MO or check (will ship when payment clears.) Not looking for any trades at this time, sorry. Please PM for contact. Thanks!

Based on the Vityaz-SN Russian submachine gun, with a few modern improvements. The PSA AK-V is a blowback-operated system to ensure a smooth cycling action. Following in the footsteps of our new PSA AK-47 GF3 models, the AK-V features a forged front trunnion and bolt/carrier. Our design utilizes the Palmetto State Armory U9 35 round magazine, and also features last round bolt hold open. The PSA AK-V can only be guaranteed to function with PSA AKV magazines.

The PSA AK-V has a 4150 10.5” nitrided barrel with a 1/10” twist, threaded 1/2x28 to interface with most common 9mm muzzle devices and suppressors. This PSA AK-V comes equipped with an ALG AKT Enhanced Trigger With Lightning Bow.

The AK-V was tested and performs well while being suppressed, and is rated for +P+ 9mm ammunition

Picatinny Top Railed, Hinged Dust Cover

The top Picatinny railed dust cover was designed so most common low mount red dot optics will co-witness with the front and rear sight. High mount red dot optics will not co-witness with the AK-V sights. Please see pictures below: (Optics shown on pictures is for references only; not included)

PSA AK Picatinny Stock Adapter with Triangle Side Folding Brace

The PSA AK Picatinny Stock Adapter replaces the M4 stock adapter found in other AK-V models and allows for the Side Folding Brace to be securely attached to the rear of the firearm, giving it a unique look that is sure to impress. The Triangle Side Folding Brace is left side-folding and compatible with all platforms utilizing a PSA AK Picatinny Stock/Brace Adapter.

Gunsmithing Laterally adjusting buttpads

I've found the above feature to be beneficial on the MDT XRS that I have, made possible via their adjustable buttpad mechanism.

k0JMqdRy67DZk2KHtUJ7jZ-OXaJSB9Q5YoEjXFmOReHxjohX2a4JbTyH2Y5wkTl21_nm7O1uxp7mzEDBy2XH_f_c-HQoVWsw0uoxVRf3AwwTe3KdzVzZvsXH0GbjckdCI1FskfbNOsc

I think the official term (if there is one) for such an adjustment, is 'offset'.

cast-and-offset-jpg.1200449

I have mine setup so that the buttpad is to the right, when viewing the rifle from behind. I'm a right-handed shooter, so the location of the butt pad mimicks 'cast off' as seem in some traditional stocks (obviously this feature isn't possible in a chassis, unless you designed it with such an adjustment in mind). I find this setup to allow better alignment behind the rifle, as the action and scope is closer to the centeline of my body.

Anyway, many of you will already be aware of such a feature and its benefits. I basically started this thread to bug KRG about updating their recoil pad design, to allow such an adjustment. Both Manners and Magpul have already done this, seems to be a good way of adding the option without increasing weight and cost via an additional machined part.

Kick Eez makes both designs of pad, would seem pretty simple to update the current KRG design to allow the same feature. Would be an ideal pairing with their adjustable butt pad mechanism IMO.

I've already emailed their very helpful and receptive CS department. Hopefully a few people agree with me.

Reactions: carbonbased

anybody else do this? (case lube and primer pocket cleaning novel ideas)

First, I got my second die set from WTC (first was 50 BMG, now 375 CT) and this thread is not about the dies per se, but rather about WTC recs to NOT use water soluble lubes (most of them including RCBS) because they can cause rust inside the die. They recommend STP oil additive +/- dilution with 20% 30 weight motor oil (because STP is so thick). I've been using this and it works great but this is the first time in my 30+ years reloading that I came across this suggestion. Would 90 weight gearbox oil work too? Because I have leftover of that from my motorcycle maintenance days.

Next, for (occasional) primer pocket cleaning, I used to use the RCBS wire thingies, but a while back I just started using a PP uniformer set at factory specs. It doesn't engage the brass of the PP, but it does clean the carbon down to a uniform depth very nicely, and I don't worry about it gouging the sides or going too deep.

Maybe I'm late to the party on one or both of these things. Opinions and experiences invited.
