I'm just getting into reloading and I'm getting the last little bit of tools and measuring devices together to get started. I was planning on purchasing the SAC set until I came across the Derraco kit. From everything I've read online the SAC kit appears to be extremely high quality and I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for", but for anyone who has used both, is it 3x better. $175 vs $52 is a pretty significant difference for two tools that both appear to be high quality and serve the same purpose.

decided to go a different way with my SD plan so I no longer intend to use this. It has maybe 100 rounds on it. I used it with my deadair wolfman and their SD adapter for that. It definitely keeps 115gr subsonic which is pretty cool. The BUIS aren't included in this price but can be negotiated if you want them. I did swap out the standard charging handle for a better one, I can't remember what brand but it's distinctly more useable.

Im building a 8t 223 off a howa 1500 rhats currently a 204ruger and I have it in a krg xray. I have a m24 blank on order from pva and im torn on if I should do a 20" or 26" or something in between.

I plan on shooting the 73-80gr bullets with varget for local prs out to 750. Range work out to 600. I have a suppressor thats about 6" and idk if I'll run it at matches or just off bench.

I might coyote hunt with it too and I don't have to walk far so the weight isn't an issue.

My plan is to have my bergara hmr rebarreled into a 22gt or 6gt next year and thrown into a chassis for a more dedicated rig. (308 currently).

I have an AT with the low rail (non - night vision).

Indexing off the pin that goes through the bolt safety shroud, I'm getting exactly 1 inch.

I was sort of surprised that this was the same measurement I got with my Tikka T3x rifles, with that particular aftermarket rail that was installed on them - considering the difference in maximum barrel thickness (1.15" vs. 1.22"). Probably need to recheck the measurements with the scope removed one day.

What measurements are you getting?

Just curious if anyone has 1st hand experience with a bolt action hunting rifle, 25 creed in a 16.5 barrel?
Planning on a 16.5-18" barrel in 6.5 PRC but think .25 would be a better choice.

I recently purchased a Magpul Hunter stock for my sons Ruger American .350 Legend. The stock only comes with 2 Mlok slots at the front of the foreend. Has anyone installed a full length arca rail on one of these stocks and if so how did you do it. I am looking at the Sawtooth Rifles rail https://www.sawtoothrifles.com/product/dovetail-rail-m-lok-universal/ Looking at the stock I am tempted to disassemble the foreend and see how hard it would be to mount the rail to it.
