SOLD PVA 6mm BR Prefit

Used PVA Osprey prefit in 6mm BR for ARC Nucleus/Archimedes - 26", 1:7.5 twist, M24 contour, 5/8x24 threads. Per original owner, 385 rounds fired & shot under 1/2" MOA with 30.2gr (Varget or XBR). Only reason I decided not to keep is that I picked up a 6 br barrel for my AI and I don't need two.

Had this listed before and didn't have any serious offers, so I decided to see how it shoots. Shot sighters at 50 and 100, and then two 5 shot groups with Lapua 105 gn factory ammo. I screwed up the last shot on the first group becausethat's what I do, but the second turned out like I'd expect one of Josh's barrels to shoot. 401 rounds on the barrel as of today.

Range Report Wild dope truing AB and 4dof. What is reasonable?

To get impacts beyond 600 yards, I’m having to change my bc from .292 to .280 AND change MV from a twice verified (two garmins running side by side) 2770 to 2750. On the Hornady app, this equates to 2750 and a AFF of 1.10. If I don’t change the muzzle velocity, there is no allowable AFF large enough to give me true results. To clarify, if I put in the largest allowable AFF and start lowering MV, 2750 is the first speed at which the calculated dope matches reality after conventional rounding. The curve predicted by AB matches at .280/2750. If I put the verified MV (2770) in to AB, i have to go to a BC of .272 to get hits.

This is verified at both 1800 ft and 70* and 7000 ft and 40* on small enough targets that I’m confident it’s not just bad shooting/spotting.

Berger 109 LRHT, 7.5 twist. 1000 rounds on the barrel/brake combo. 30 rounds over the garmin shows an SD of 8 and an ES of 34 and the barrel shot two back to back cloverleaf groups (sub 1/2”).

Anyone have any ideas why I’m seeing such incredible inefficiency downrange. Something about the bullets? A barrel problem causing a change to external ballistics? I’ve never seen such a huge truing solution required.

Eldx VS seating die - damage

Matchmaster seating die is destroying every 3rd or 4th 143eldx.

New lapua 65prc brass. Run over expander mandrel (262) for uniformity.

Load isn't compressed and I'm getting what appears to be actual extrusion of the bullet into the stem. I know the vlds shape are prone to scoring with standard stems, but can seem to find a vld Stem for this die.

Has anyone seen anything like this before??? How did you solve it?

Precision Rifle Gear My first accu-tac bipod..have question

I bought my first accu-tac ever ..it's a br4. Based on various reviews of being rock solid and stable , I decided to pick it up.

Seems nice but my concern is there is alittle front to back wiggle on the legs. Is this normal? My Harris is has no play in it when it's at the 90deg position so I want to make sure I didn't get a defective product ..
Thanks

Night Vision DNT Hydra HS635

So just picked up a DNT hydra the 640 unit. Just curious what the overall impression is on the unit. The one comparison I’ve seen with the RH25 it was impressively similar for half the cost. I’m coming from a pulsar XQ38 from 4 years ago or so i let go so im curious if its going to be a tremendous jump in quality. I’m gonna throw it on the mk12 mod H

Testing loads - Am I doing it wrong?

Hello guys,
finding "the right bullet" for a new rifle.

I´m buying 3 or 4 bullets which fullfill my needs, and then I´m loading and testing them side by side.
That means I shoot 4-round groups with every bullet, one after the other, waiting around 1 minute to let the barrel cool down a bit after every shot.

Do you think that "mixing" the bullets is a bad thing, because of the different materials in the bullet jackets?
Will it cause worse precision and would it be better, to test only one bullet in a row, when finished clean the barrel, and than testing the next bullet?
