Recommended Optic for Monitoring Wind and Mirage

I am shooting FClass F-TR and have purchased as scope stand with an older scope with angled eyepiece for use while in the prone position to watch wind and mirage. Unfortunately, the scope i have is older and does not have a good eye relief.

I am looking for recommendations for a good scope that will be effective for this use.

Basic requirements is 1) angled eyepiece 2) long eye relief and 3) affordability

Thoughts?

New From Colorado

My name is Jared Burton and I want to thank you guys for having me. My handle on here is to pay homage and respect to the great Marine Corps sniper that passed away in 1999 but with a humorous twist. I currently live just outside of Boulder but have spent many years in Fort Collins. I co-own a firearms business here with my good friend and our team shooter is a member of this site. Been checking the site out for a while now and decided to join. Currently building a 6.5x47 Lapua and a few others. Thanks again for having me and i look forward to being a productive member that can help out in anyway.

SOLD Glock 43/43x/48 holsters, JM Custom

Cleaning up the cabinet and carry the G26-again.

Three holsters, for the price of a new JM Custom Kydex holster, you are essentially getting the other two free. This is a all or nothing, meaning the price is 55 for all three together.

CORRECTION TO PIC, NO G48 ON THIS ONE. The HBC carbon fiber is MOS capable, unsure of the light, again, it's "free"

The other two ARE NOT MOS capable, meaning, no railed 43x/48 will fit.

The JM has the upgrade to the metal clips and the foam pad in which I never used.

55 USPS money order, check with hold or Zelle.
I priced these to be fair, considering shipping will be about 15-20.
Please LMK

Can't remove Muzzle Brake off of Ruger Gunsite

I just purchased a Ruger Gunsite in 450 Bushmaster. I cannot remove the muzzle brake. I had the barrel clamped hard in a vise. Admittedly, it was between two 2x4s but clamped down very hard. Was putting plenty of torque on it w/ an open end wrench. Hard to estimate but would guess every bit of 60 ft-lbs. Are there any tricks in removing these muzzle brakes? Called Ruger and they just said send it in, but don't want to be out of the rifle for 6 weeks.

SOLD BCM 14.5 ELW Mlok upper with BCG and Charging handle Priced 2 sell

BCM 14.5 upper with 150 rounds down the barrel. I'll remove the YHM muzzle unless and install A2. Scope not included

It shoots 77 gr AAC, Black arc 73g eldm, and american eagle 62 gr really well. So far everything I've tried in it has been good and I didn't see any issues with heating up like a couple dweebs on reddit will say.

Very impressed with this upper but I went a little wild on spending and need to make some regrettable sales.

100 yards with 77gr aac 10 shot group, the other is 5 shots at 400 and 3 shots at 700 with the 14.5

Otherwise insignificant things that makes your day.

Carrying on with my previous "having a great day" thread... I give you the thread of otherwise insignificant things that just make your day... Doesn't even need to make sense to anyone else... just some ridiculous thing that makes you happy. This will all but certainly piss all the/my haters off too... which brings me to my #1 actually (of course I'll start this off).

1. Living my "best life" and knowing it aggravates others for no reason other than my mood is not being dictated by what they want. Truth be told "best life" is a ridiculous phrase (at least in my opinion) that's a "hashtag" now. All I'm saying is haters are going to hate but they'll never hate harder than they will when they realize you just frankly don't care what they think. Something magical about feeling good & knowing that it's pissing the haters off even more am I right?

2. Moving back to more mundane things- for the life of me one of my most absolute favorite things is going to bed when the sheets have been freshly washed. I've struggled with sleep issues for many years but that first night in clean sheets... I can't explain it but it just hits harder than any Ambien I've taken.

3. That "new gun day" feeling. Not sure how others operate but for me I've always been one to analyze the crap out of various models to pick the one specific configuration I want & then to chase it with trying to find a good deal. If you're anything like me, you have a list of guns you want & a price tag you've mentally allocated to spend and it's awesome when the stars line up and you got that new chunk of steel in your collection.

4. This might be oddly specific to me but I've shared here my exploration in automatic watches over the past year. I've been evaluating a half dozen or so lately and I've gotten great satisfaction out of wearing 'em & learning their accuracy. I thought I was having an issue with a Seiko diver I recently purchased and was concerned that I somehow screwed up the date/day mechanism because it's apparently a "thing" to set it during a certain window of time (which I didn't) but I spent the past week not being able to sync the current time with the day & date. Whelp- the past two days (I'm not even sure what I did 'right') my one diver is now running accurate (+8-10 seconds a day) but more importantly the day of the week and the actual date are now synchronized and that has me much happier than it rightfully should.

5. On the way to work yesterday there was a trivia question on the radio on what hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia was and I knew (not guessed) but actually knew it was the fear of long words. The look my wife gave me when I said that was priceless and made me feel... well young again, almost like when we first started dating and everything was new & you were impressive in what you knew & could do.

6. Wrapping up for at least the first post- but as an example of thins that don't cost a thing- when your spouse gives you that look of surprise (I almost think it gets better the older you get because you see it less & less) but "that" look of when you both surprise & impress them... damn if that doesn't make my day.

This might make for an interesting discussion... I want to talk about minor league hockey jersey's and their prices.

I've shared it here before but my local team is the Hershey Bears for the AHL. They performed spectacularly poorly during playoffs the past season (of course by no small measure because I had finally purchased season tickets for them) as they went after the Caulder Cup for the 3rd time in a row. Spoiler alert- they didn't pull it off and if I'm being honest didn't necessarily even come close to pulling it off either.

That said- when you have a team that had two championships back to back, it likely isn't unreasonable to expect the prices of their memorabilia/apparel to rise equal to the demand. Whelp- as another spoiler alert, the prices never went "down" after they were knocked out of the playoff's either.

So now that we're all caught up I want to talk about the price of Hockey Jersey's & how things compare for your own local AHL team.

As I mentioned, I had season tickets and had alerts set for when "authentic" jerseys would come back in stock (both home & away colors) and they never did, even once, the entire season last year . But... I finally got notification from alerts I set over a year ago that the "authentic's" are back in stock.

Here's the prices I'm looking at: if I want an "authentic" Hershey Bears AHL jersey (regardless of color) it's $325. Period. IF I want to 'personalize' the jersey and add a name &/or number to it- it'd be an additional $70 so essentially $400 bucks. Frankly that seems outrageous to me.

Now I can lower my expectations and purchase a "replica" Bears jersey for "only" $160 but once again the $70 to add a name/number applies and that, while much more reasonable, also sound kinda wild for what's essentially a "big" t-shirt for over $200 there.

So rein me in here-is this just what things cost these days or is Hershey charging a "double/super" premium for their jerseys? Reckon I should add that season ticket holders generally do get 15% off apparel but interestingly enough Jerseys & customization is explicitly excluded.

What say you?

I don't suppose we have any Beretta Semiautomatic Shotgun gurus here do we?

Specifically looking for someone smarter on the Beretta 1301 Comp in particular...

Here's where I'm getting stuck today- I purchased two 1301 Comp 24's (sight unseen as it was an internet purchase) and was fully expecting that I'd need to purchase Beretta's bolt shroud kit to address the one major "flaw" of the design...

To illustrate what I thought I was going to need to purchase...

1755249773561.png

(it's that horseshoe looking plastic thing on the left): https://www.beretta.com/en-us/product/1301-bolt-shroud-kit-EU00074

"Problem" is that's not accurate to the part presently on the 1301 Comp's (at least the ones I acquired) and I have to believe I'm working with a Gen 2 design. This is what I'm seeing (again likely will only be evident if one is fairly familiar with Beretta designs)...

1755249946680.png

So... fairly different and I'm at a loss as to what I've got & what I need to do to get these competition ready.

Anyone better informed/more knowledgable on what I'm looking at as compared to what I expected to work with?

Thanks in advance.
