Summit Build : follow my mental illness journey

Welp, been looking at the Summit action for about 4 or 5 years now but been to busy running regular PRS matches. Decided this year is the year and I needed a 22lr. Since I have a mental illness and didn't want to just hit the easy button with a vudoo, nows the time to try the Summit. While I'm not traveling states chasing a season trophy I hate to lose so this will possibly be a long journey to make it work enough to start winning matches. Follow along.... don't, whatever but this will be a spot for a serious Summit build since there is hardly anything on someone doing one. Might be a reason but we'll find out.

Parts list:
-Volquartsen Summit action black
-Kidd single stage trigger
-Kidd 20" match heavy barrel threaded
-KRG Bravo w/ some fixins
-Tbac 22 suppressor

I prefer to use the suppressor but I'm not going to force it if it starts going sideways.

Scope: I'll end up borrowing one from another gun until I decide what I want. Top contenders are a Athlon Midas Tac and a Bushnell DMR3.

First batch of parts showed up today with the stock due Saturday and action due Monday.

Advice Ideas on a guitar build

OK so, I have a friend who has a band. I have wanted to build him a guitar based on their logo for quite some time now. Finally now being retired I am off to the races.
I am starting with a Fender Strat donor guitar so hopefully it will sound decent when done.. I am going to reuse all the electronics and neck from it. The neck has been stripped of all marking and I will apply his logo to the neck and clear it.
For the body I am using poplar which will be laminated to 1.5"s thick. I plan on recessing all the electronics from the back so the front has no plastic on it. The idea right now is to build it so when he is playing the logo is in the correct orientation.
This is where I am at and my general thought on how it will be assembled.
Now I realize this is more of a novelty idea maybe for a song or two a night.
Also the name of the band is Big Bad Stache..............
Be easy on me.

This is their logo I made a few tweaks to make it workable.

Accessories McGowen 13.9" AR-15 .223 Wylde MLGS

I have two identical McGowen AR barrels. 223 Wylde, 7.7", stainless button rifled, Mid-length gas, cerakote black, 5/8 24 muzzle thread.

Embarrassing story: I ordered the first one, installed it, shot it, it shot 3" groups. Called them and sent pictures of groups, they made another barrel and sent it to me. Same thing, 3" groups. Pulled the barrel and installed an ARP barrel, same thing. At that point it dawned on me that the gas block was smacking the inside of the handguard and it wasn't any of the three barrels. The ARP barrel remains in my blaster and I have had these two McGowan barrels sitting in the corner for 4 years. They have some red loctite remains sitting in the threads and have had about 50-100rds on them. Gas ports are sized for adjustable gas blocks.

$125 each styd

@lash and @Tyler Kemp I figured we could start a new thread to kick ideas around instead of polluting @Terry Cross’s thread haha.

So, the objective is to allow someone to go from shooting 308 Win to 338 Lapua with the change of a barrel, bolt and magazine. Extra points if it’s possible to step down to 223 sized cases (would also have to bug Joe make a 223 faced LA bolt). Personally, I’m running a Zeus QC in a KRG Bravo at the moment and have Standard, Mag and Lapua bolts / barrels.

I’m totally fine with single stack mags with 5rd minimum capacity. 10 rounders would be nice especially for the SA calibers. Double stack might be a necessity if 223 is an option.

So far, the two trains of thought are:

1. Printed magazines that are proprietary and fit in the LA mag well. Pros would be quality control and customization for mag length (3.715” vs 3.80” length, etc.)

2. Printed adapter that allows for other magazines to be used. An advantage would be ability to use current magazines but there would be variances introduced which may impact reliability

Before long, I’ll get some pics up of what I’m using currently. Until then, it’s opening day of bow season here so I’m gonna think about this in a tree stand!
