KRG Bravo Finger Bite

Hello all! Did a search and couldn't find anything really about this. Have KRG Bravos for three of my rifles (PRS/NRL/.22) and love them. For reference, I've been using the Bravo chassis for over 6 years and have no intentions to change but I've consistently had a hot spot on my middle finger from a part of the design right between the trigger guard and the grip. Because if how the action screw seats, the gap where the screw goes in lends itself to a couple pressure points. Normally I just wear a band-aid to help prevent the issue, but a more permanent solution would be nice. Pictures below to show the area in question.

I'm sure I can finagle a solution, but wanted to see if anyone else has this issue and what they may have done to alleviate it. Thanks in advance!

SOLD Vortex Razors Gen II 4.5-27 & Gen III 6-36 New in Box

Full disclosure, these optics belong to a local friend of mine who is not an active member, but they are in my possession and I will guarantee them arriving as described. They are brand new in the box as delivered from Vortex with factory seals still in place. If you would like to purchase one of the optics I'm happy to ship without breaking the factory seal, or once we've agreed upon a price I'm also happy to cut the seal and send complete pictures of contents as long as we've agreed upon a purchase contingent on the photos. I just hate to cut the seal as to some that's a plus being brand new and unopened.

Cleaning High Performance Rifle Barrels - Video

First post on the hide in many years⚡

I've been asked about, and explained my cleaning method more times than I can count so I finally made this video about it.

The video isn't necessary to explain the cleaning method, it's just 2 cycles of 30 strokes with a tight fitting patch of gray/blue JB bore paste on a jag. The real reason for the video is explaining WHY I've converged on this cleaning method, after years of experience doing life-cycle tests on barrels and competing in Palma, FTR and ELR.

In addition to cleaning the barrel, abrasives also smooth it. This smoothing is a major hedge against bullet failures so if that's happening to you, or you're concerned about it, maintaining your barrels with abrasive cleaning can mitigate the failure issue.

An oldie but goodie - the Vortex Razor 1-4x24

I called Vortex with a question about this scope ~ a year ago and was told I was mistaken, because they'd never made a FFP 1-4 Razor... eventually someone who was calculating how far away they were from a pension corrected him, but - that's how you know it, and me, and the gun are all getting long in the tooth - but working none the less.

I believe this was one of the better LPVOs offered before mag ranges went to 5, 6, 8 and now 10 factors.

This scope is sitting on my son's 14.5" 556 that has done God's work on pigs, coyotes, served through a few training classes and has worked for hits out to 500 yards. For the most part, it eats green tip and shits brass.

The scope is everything you'd expect from an early Razor. Glass is crystal clear and the scope has been bomb proof, cart proof, bounced around and never lost zero, never given us a moments aggravation.

It isn't the lightest thing, but if you ever get a chance to pick one up - they're great for the actual work you'll do with a 556, super excellent compliment to a clip on thermal, and generally easy to use.

Stockys vertical grip tikka stock, carbon fiber, weighs roughly 26 ounces. 2 Spartan gunsmith adapters are installed. The rear one is a bit off center, works fine for tripod use however.

Spartan mountain ascent with Gen 1 davros pro head. Great lightweight back country tripod, not quite enough for my heavy coyote rig however.

Spartan pro hunt tac bipod (long leg) with FHF gear bino harness holster.

I have a few regular mounts and an mlok mount I can throw in as well for the bipod.

Stock=$400 shipped
Bipod and holster=$SOLD
Tripod and head=$SOLD

Will trade for a hnt26 (tikka inlet), xlr mag 4.0 setup for tikka.

I will also consider selling the entire rifle setup if anyone is interested (minus the optic and suppressor). Details: started as a tikka t3 veil wideland. Barrel cut by class 3 machine to 18” (roughly 2700 fps with 140s). Barrel and bolt are fluted. Has OMR bolt shroud, Lumley CF carbon fiber knob, JA outdoors bottom metal color matched. Will come with both the factory tikka mag and an HCA mag that had a little dremel work done to it. UM 30mm rings. Stockys stock with the Spartan adapters. UM recoil lug. Not bedded. Very accurate and light rifle. As pictured it is 8 pounds 10 ounces on my scale (with the optic and suppressor mounted). 1750 for the rifle with stock.

SOLD Absolutely beautiful M1 Garand SPF

Gents,

Selling my Springfield M1 Garand, December 1942 lead annealed receiver, new Criterion barrel, all Springfield parts iirc including correct lockbar rear sight. Rifle has an absolutely gorgeous curly maple stock set. Stock fitting, barrel installation, tuning and parkerizing was done many years ago by Dean's Gun Restorations out of Tennessee who is long out of business from what I understand. Personally only fired around 50 rounds of HXP surplus ammo through the rifle in the last 20 years, it's really just been a safe queen. Could possibly make someone a really nice Garand match rifle or a really nice addition to someone's collection.

SOLD no trades please. Venmo, Cash App, PayPal accepted with buyer taking care of the fees.

Rifle Scopes Dilemma - WMLRF on older scope vs new Scope & and HHLRF

Which route

  • New Scope & Budget LRF

    Votes: 6 100.0%
  • Old Scope & WMLRF

    Votes: 0 0.0%

Hey guys,

so I am getting back into the hobby after being away from it since 2013... Things have changed. My last rifle was a Blueprinted R700 30.06 that could shoot half moa or better if I did my part. it was paired with a Bushnell DMR 3-21 Horus H59 reticle. I got it in 2011 I think when Bushnell was looking for people to "beta test" their new tactical line of scopes. I was one of the original beta testers for it with the H58 reticle. After we finished testing it, I had it swapped out for a newer H59 version. The scope is great, but it's a 1st gen DMR scope from Bushnell. for me it does a great job.... but no zero stop, 5 mil turrets and I'm sure with the advancements in technology the glass is outdated and there are better stuff out there now.

That being said WMLRF really wasn't a thing back then. We were taught to range with mils (or an LRF I guess). Times have changed.

I just recently purchased a Seekins SP10 in 6.5 creedmoor and now there are actually couple PRS matches in my state I'd like to attend (this didn't exist back then either in my area).

I am contemplating of getting a scope in the ~$1500-2000 range but sticking to a tradtional LRF (I have an older from 2011 and it sucks bigtime).

ORRRR

Getting a nice diveboard style rings on my Bushnell DMR and getting one of the WMLRF offerings (prefering Tango 4000 or Maztech 2k with AB).

I've also considered maybe a Vortex offering for around 1000 bucks, and look for a used WMLRF in the 1000 range.

What do you guys think? is my Bushnell too outdated and there are better things out there that I can benefit from? or is the future now and I get a new scope?

I've been strongly eyeing the Buris XTR-PS and getting a WMLRF in the future for it, or getting the eliminator 6 and have a new glass and a WMRLF all built into one. I know it has it's downsides, but I think it can be mitigated after some practice and training. Also saw some Leupold Mk4/5 for around $2000 in the marketplace or a Razor Gen III for around $2300 as well. I do love the idea of XTR-PS where you just dial your distance and shoot away. what's even better is the eliminator 6 where you don't even need to lift your head.

Lying through their teeth about the clot shot.

Senate testimony about the clot shot is going on. The first guy i saw was talking about how scientists and public health officials were very forthwith publicizing any potential dangers of the jab, and that claiming there was absolutely no cover up of dangerous side effects.

Then the next guy starts in about how many lives the COVID jabs saved by reducing the severity of disease. And how Trumps cuts are going to effect vaccine safety.

So not only will nobody be hanged for it, if we let them sort it out. We are going to have to listen to a bunch of bloviating retards, retell all the lies from 2020-2023 as though they haven't been proven false.

"The clinical data shows the shots reduced the severity of disease."

"The shots were safe and effective."
