So I watched Erik Cortina's latest interview with David Tubb. Big fan of David for years. I had all but forgotten about schneider barrels. I know he and gary have a good working relationship and i believe they have a partnership going.

With all the other brands nowadays like bartlein, krieger, brux, hart, shilen, ace, etc producing blanks under $450, is there any reason other than potentially lead times to spend $500 on a schneider barrel blank?

This a brand new American Trigger Corp (ATC) AR Gold Trigger. The trigger is still in original box and has never been installed. This is the non-adjustable trigger. $150 shipped

Rifle is like new. Barrel has 60 rounds through it. Rifle was sent back to Seekins for the bolt upgrade, which replaces essentially everything except the barrel and it hasn't been shot since getting it back. Practically a new rifle. Trigger was upgraded to Triggertech Special flat shoe that is new and unfired as well. I have a Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 5-25x50 MRAD to package with it for a great ready to go elk package. I started a new SH 100yd challenge thread HERE and was asked about a 50yd rimfire version. Idk what I'm doing but here is the target I was able to make. If you print at 100% scale the final row should print 1" diameter circles and make it a little easier to score.

Rules:

1. All Targets will be shot from a Bipod & Rear Bag

2. Enter as many times as you like

3. Post your target, scored version please.

4. ColdBore means - Your first shot of the day, no exceptions.

5. Target will be shot at 50 yards or 50 meters depending on your range.

6. Lowest score wins

7. Include a Quarter with the image of you absolutely can’t score your own target and someone will likely help you.

8. Bullet just has to break the line to be counted as in the circle

Order of Shots

1. Cold Bore Shot; +1 on first target
•2 Shots touching center dot, 0 points,
•2 shots on target 1 point
•1 shot on target 2 point
•miss the circle with both shots 3 points

2. Zero Target to fine tune your group.
•5 shots at this target IF you need it. NOT PART OF THE FINAL SCORE.

Probably been asked already but I couldn't find anything.
I reload for 308 using imr4064, 4895 and Varget... 155's, 168's and 175's.
With various load combinations the case necks are sooty after firing and other loads aren't (same brass).
Is this simply a function of pressure where some are sealing better upon firing and are not sooty?

debating on having my sig cross barrel swapped out. Ballistics on the 16” .308 is shit. So why not make it a dual purpose.

I do already have a 6mm arc so I have 6mm varmint bullets on hand. Plenty of varget for either caliber.

I'm loading up 2500 or so rounds for a belt fed 1919, using cloth belts. When I seat the bullet to 2.8" (actually 2.790") I'm still .06" or so short of the cannelure. If anybody can measure a NATO ball/FMJ round for me and tell me the OAL, that would be great.
I may have a mix of pulled/new 308 and 30-06 bullets and I do have a mix of FMJ, API, AP and tracer bullets. This does complicate things, but if I get the OAL for a FMJ, I can go off of the ogive for the others.

I've been reading up on AI one-piece scope mounts for S&B 5-25's. I've seen multiple members mention that they had to machine their 18 moa and 28 moa mounts in order for the scope to fit. My question is who has done this and would like to share a picture of the modification? Thanks.

I’m looking to get some feedback from people who have experience with the Ranier Arms Ultramatch Mod 2 barrels. I’m specifically looking at 16” version with the intermediate gas system.


I know the old version was a Shilen barrel but I hear the Mod 2 is using a Criterion blank. Any feedback on these barrels would be greatly appreciated.
